The place is lovely, good food, nice staff. First 2 days were perfect! But then the only staff that speaks English was not there anymore. Then the dinner bill didn’t bring the prices, only total amount, and the other guy didn’t know how to prepare a hot chocolate. The last breakfast was also not good as the first ones. At the checkout time, they gave us a paper with only the total amount. So the presence of the guy that speaks English made all the difference, because I understood he is also the one preparing breakfast and taking care of the checkout, specially for foreigners.
One of my worst experiences in food. It was disgusted, they definitly need a new chef, or someone who knows how to coock, the meet was just boiled, dry and cold propably from previos days, and most of othere dishes were just caned food!
The places is in front of the brighe from bridghe start the center were you can see all the village is good place, beautiful view and good peoplee you can try tradicional food ,also you can hiking in the mountins
Very good location within the village. Small rooms. Smelly bathrooms with no ventilation. No sound insulation. You can listen everything that is happening in the corridor or nearby rooms. Unreasonable food prices and bad quality food. A small dish of baked patatos costed 600 lek, and the patatos seemed to be baked hours before. The yogurt they served was for sure not homemade. They have to improve managment and attitude if they want to keep being in bussines.
We were a party of 7 (4 adults+3kids), showing up „unsuspectedly“. This was in July of 2018. The owners gave us a warm welcome and tried to make our 3 day stay as perfect as possible. Of course we didn‘t have electricity a couple of times, so we went and put our Korça Beer bottles in the cold river. That is what we came here for, to have an Adventure! That is Part of the whole beauty of Theth. And in parts, to us Villa Gurra contributed to this. We booked our Blue Eye Trip through the owners. It is highly recommended! The food was excellent, they served so much, that we could hardly eat it all. On the 2nd Night, the owner got a fire going in the backyard for us. They brought us red wine and we played the Guitar half of the night! It was great. For our trip back we were short on Gas, the owner helped us out and charged next to nothing! Bear in mind that for what you are paying, breakfast and dinner is included, drinks are extra if I remember correctly. To bring food and beverage into Theth is a pain, since roads aren‘t fixed yet. So, to us, there is no point to argue about a 0,66l bottle-price of Korça of 300 ALL (still a bargain). Theth is not Tirana! Our stay was very pleasant to sum it all up. I would return to stay here any day! …
