I really don't even know where to begin. From the moment we opened the door at Casa Sonrisa (one of the four houses for rent on this little piece of paradise on Costa Rica's Osa Peninsula), when we were overwhelmed by the soaring ceilings and beautiful woodwork, to our very exciting night-time hike up King Luis Falls with manager Guillermo,... Staying at Casa Bambu is a truly wonderful experience. It is a house that allows one unimpeded enjoyment of the natural wonders of the Osa Peninsula, while providing several modern comforts and conveniences. The simple, open and gorgeous design of the house allows guests to feel at one with nature - no screens on the windows and lots of wildlife... More

What a great adventure from the start. We drove to the Osa and the pot holes had to be seen to be believed. Although they are in the process of improving the roads. We stayed in Casa Sunrisa- a house on stilts made of bamboo. Open air apart from the mossie net over the bed which makes it a little... More

Absolutely amazing vacation for the entire family! We were fortunate to find Casa Bambu (stayed in Casa Linda). Totally off the grid (solar power & artesian well water) and we loved it! It is hard to be back home without the howler monkeys waking us up at 4am, or the macaws eating the nuts from the trees overhead and dropping... More

We stayed in the Casa Linda beach house with our family, and it was wonderful. I liked that we were just a few steps away from the beach. The rainforest with its monkeys, macaws, and butterflies was so amazing. The owner and staff at Casa Bambu were very friendly and helpful. Be sure to have the girls cook for you because... More

A group of us (ten in total) ranging in ages from 8yrs old to 60+ yrs old stayed at La Pina and La Sonrisa for a week and had an amazing time. Dinner cooked by Vicki was a treat! Lyn and William were so helpful in setting up tours for us and arranging for taxis. Everything was PERFECT!! I wish... More

I am naturally skeptical of reviews if there aren't a bunch of them. Casa Bambu had a bunch and all very high ratings so I was very optimistic about staying there. I am so glad that we followed up with booking a trip there. This is a place that gives you a little of everything and nothing at the same... More

We first discovered Casa Bambu in 2008 and decided that it had everything that our family needed for the best vacation ever. Birds, kayaks, and remarkable wildlife for momma, surfing for the adrenaline crew, many options for 'field trips' and a really functional kitchen that was perfect for this family of cooks. It's not the easiest place to get to,... More

This place is the perfect Costa Rican nature getaway. The house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a terrific 3 day stay. The owner is very helpful and everything described on her website is accurate to the last detail We will return and recommend to others. Thanks you Lyn. Tony
