We loved it and can't wait to return. The owners are organized and helpful. The house is comfortable and perfectly designed for casual comfort. The location is precious and gorgeous. William, Leda and Marle were very helpful and friendly. I think it was our favorite vacation of all time.

My wife and I stayed in La Pina for 10 days in Dec. This was the 3rd leg of a 5 week trip and was the highlight of the trip. If you want a bit more wildlife viewing right from your porch or from your bed for that matter then La Pina is for you. It's like a super monkey... More

We have been traveling in Costa Rica for the past twenty years and this is one of our favorite place is in the country. We found Casa Bambu about ten year ago and for the past eight years we have made it our main stop on our trips. Our son has spent the last eight years enjoying the beautiful and... More

Awakened before dawn by tropical birds. La Sonrisa was a three bedroom modernized Swiss Family Robinson experience. It is among a group of 4 bamboo houses. The beds were netted so no problem with insects. The kitchen and bathrooms were very functional with everything but food (which we knew). Next time I go to CR I will definitely head here.... More

We, 2 couples, spent 4 nights in Casa Bambu and loved every minute of it. We have been traveling to Southern Costa Rica for 7 years now and Casa Bambu really hit the spot! The house is way more beautiful than the pics on the website show. It is so great to have the open house so you can be... More

Great information provided about the house and area from owners! Great price for the house and best amazing views and wild life. Saw 15 plus monkeys every morning while eating breakfast. However if you don't like the outdoors this is not the place for you b/c the house is open air in the rain forest with no air condition. This... More

Our family -- me, my wife, and two children 17 and 12, -- traveled to Osa in Spring 2010 and spent a week at Casa Bambu. It was, without doubt or reservation, the most memorable family vacation we have had. The lodgings are simple, airy and clean. You awake in the moments before dawn to rolling calls of howler monkeys... More

Superlative adjectives only begin to describe how special casa bambu is. Our family spent 2 weeks there and loved every moment of our time there. We travel a lot (in fact just got back from a year traveling with our 2 sons aged 12,10) and we havent found a better place. We never like to go back to the same... More

We stayed at Casa Bambu in 2010 and it was a dream. Lyn and Kirk are fabulous hosts and the stresses of the real world melt away on that private beach. The cost was more than reasonable and the wildlife extraordinary. No cell phones and no tv's, nothing but beach, booze and solitude with your favorite people.

Thanks for the review! One small correction: for better or worse, now we have 3G phone reception, as well as an Internet connection! But don't worry, you don't have to tell the people back at the office. More

I stayed at Casa Bambu twice in 2011. A week at the end of January and 18 days in December, so I guess I like the place. It has three great attributes - location, character and people. I travel extensively world-wide for my job. Every continent except Antartica. I have stayed nowhere else where I could see and hear so... More
