Ojo del Mar is an EcoLodge, where you don´t have elctricity in the rooms - you really don´t need it, because candlelights are more romantic! Only at the Rancho there is electricity. Here you get together with all the other guests very nice dinners in the evening, sometimes prepared by the Tico-Employees of the lodge, very delicious. The rooms are...

This was one of the most beautifully remote place I have ever been. The staff and food was unbelievable- contrary to other reviews. Everything is fresh and delicious. The bar next store has a limited selection of food- but again, some of the freshest and most delicious food I've ever eaten. My boyfriend and I travelled into Corcovado National Park...

Our four day stay at Ojo del Mar was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. The staff was always helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. The grounds were a tropical paradise and located right on the beach. The food, served family style, was delicious, healthy and beautifully presented. The place has a very relaxed, communal quality which...

After my first stay ten years ago, they have developed this place more and more to a real PARADISE. The owners started with one hut and over the years they built more wonderful Bamboo-huts were every hut has its own character. Also the Garden where they planted a amazing variety. The people, the atmosphere and not at least the wonderful...

Reading the revues very few are derogatory, I suggest to people reading these revues to ignore them, as I found none of these comments are valid. The Ojo de Mar website is excellent, you get exactly what the website says. Everything was perfect, the setting, the accommodation, the food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Yes, one night I...

We spent 7 lovely days at Oja del Mar on the Osa Peninsula. Located approximately 17 km from the small town of Puerta Jiminez, we enjoyed the 30 minute ride over the bumpy road to the resort. The setting on the beach on the edge of the jungle was beautiful. The open air cabinas were comfortable and clean. I also...

The pictures are real. We loved it. All my childhood desires to sleep in a Swiss family Robinson setting were fulfilled. Wildlife is within sight. As birders, we saw many interesting species. As a horticulturist, seeing the conscientious efforts to maintain a natural balance was a pleasure. The artful use of natural materials is exceptional. Breakfast and dinner are wonderfully...

Mark and Nico have nurtured a little portion of beachfront rain jungle that enables all who pass through an opportunity to be nourished body and soul. It's not heaven it's real! Life in abundance and for the most part oblivious to my encounter with it . It's so alive and vibrating with activity. It's so great too be swallowed by...
