My husband I stayed here for four nights as part of our honeymoon and cannot day enough good things about it! On our very first day there, from our “Beach House” we saw howler monkey out one side and squirrel monkeys on the other side. We saw more wildlife here than anywhere

We spent 3 nights at Ojo Del Mar in May 2018. We saw incredible amount of wildlife and birds at the property (scarlet macaws, toucans, holler, spider and capuchin monkeys, etc). Our room was comfortable, relaxing and large, and we loved the open concept. There were monkeys and

For my first solo trip to Costa Rica, I wanted at least half of my trip to be spent in nature, at a place where I could relax, reflect and have some fun, too. I can’t say enough positive things about Ojo Del Mar. from the second my cab pulled in from Puerto Jimenez, I was in

This was an amazing trip. So rustic, so tranquil, so adventurous, so much jungle and so many wild animals! Howler monkeys, spider monkeys, pumas, snakes, and who knows what else. The bamboo lodges were like tree houses, and I heard growling once or twice as I slept, but I got

The host, Nico, was friendly, accessible, and an amazing cook! She lives on the property near the main entrance. There are 5 cabinas that blend in with the jungle surroundings. There are no windows, doors, locks or screens. You are in the wild - even in the shower. The

1. We weren't there during a retreat, but there is plenty of privacy if you need that. One of our favorite parts of the stay were the dinners. It was particularly amazing because everyone staying there gathered and shared stories/suggestions. We met some truly amazing people and I'm sure the retreat would be the same. 2. the land ends at the beach. Some of the rooms are a short walk. At the most, 1 minute. It's literally right there. 3, There are a ton of interesting areas near by. There isn't really a town, but that's what makes it so enticing. There is one restaurant in town. It's a few hundred yards from Ojo Del Mar. 4. There are plenty of excursions close by. Hiking, climbing, horseback riding etc. Not sure on the ATVs, but I would bet you could rent some close. Hope this helps!
