Staying at Ojo Del Mar is an experience that you can’t find many places in the world. Beautiful point break right in the “backyard” all to yourself! The Monkeys, Macaws, Sloths, and more all within view from your breakfast. Nico pours her heart and soul into the meals and exceeded my expectations each time. Highly recommend!

If youre looking to be and feel off the grid, this is the place to go. I spent three nights here with a close friend and it was truly the most relaxing place I have ever stayed. We stayed in the beach front villa which I highly recommend. It was only a minute walk to the waters edge and you could hear the waves crashing all night long. Mark and Nico own and run this establishment. They are a Wonderful couple from Germany who were very accommodating and generous the whole stay. Mark actually created and built the entire ecolodge himself which was very fascinating to talk with him about. Due to covid, some of the things they offer such as the morning yoga and daily dinners and lunches were not provided which made this a little difficult as there was only one restaurant (that only accepted cash) a five minute walk up the road named Martinas (very good food). This was a bit of a let down but regardless of that I would highly recommend staying at this ecolodge if you want to fully unwind and truly feel like you're in another world. Another thing to note is that the bungalows themselves do not have windows or screens so you do get the full jungle experience which took getting used to on the first night. Would be a great romantic getaway or place to relax and meditate.

What a fun and laid back gem we stumbled upon. Ojo del mar was such an amazing experience. Nico and Mark are such genuine and kind individuals who will go the extra mile to help you out. The rooms are open to the abundant nature. We saw countless birds, monkies, bats ,Anteater all in our short stay. So happy we got to experience this place It feels like a giant family house and the food is amazing!

We really enjoyed our stay! We stayed one night on our way to Corcovado and also on the way back. It's one of the nicest places to stay in the area. Corcovado is not the easiest place to get to so I highly recommend staying here on both your way to and from the national park. We stayed in two different cabanas and loved them both. During any season you will enjoy privacy and peace. The food was amazing. One of the best meals I have ever had was our dinner on our last night there! Thank you so much for putting in the effort to create a place that is not only welcoming but tranqilo too. See you again soon!

The ecolodges are clean, beautiful, and more than comfortable. Wish I could wake up in the jungle everyday!!! Will miss Ojo Del Mar everyday until I’m able to return!! Thank you so much.
