The people at Encanta La Vida are so nice and lovely, and the food is divine! We didn't lodge there, but had a couple of meals and took advantage of the bar and surf board rentals. Corey, Cynthia, Glinda, everyone was so nice to talk to and visit with. Which is why it gives me great pains to report our... More

Hi Amy! It was great meeting the family and having you around and how we wished this hadn't happened. We do sincerely apologize for that inconvenience. Unfortunately in these jungle areas it is hard for us to get good internet to respond quickly to our emails. We do our very best to try to get things straighten out as fast... More

My wife and I took our two daughters (18 and 15) to Encanta La Vida for a week of everything the Osa Peninsula offers. We are simple travelers but expect a few things. We like to feel safe and not worry about the food and water. No problem here as the water is better than home and the food was... More

Place is a top notch luxury jungle resort, epic place to come back to after the best surf of your life! The food is healthy and amazing. You get severed 3 meals a day, and it is extraordinary! Great pool with a bar for the after surf beer or cocktail! Enjoyable and friendly staff accommodates mostly every request to make... More

My boyfriend and I went to Costa Rica for a 10-day getaway from work and the hustle and bustle of city life. We figured if we were going to Costa Rica, we wanted somewhere open to the elements. We are both active people, and were not looking for a typical resort. We discovered Encanta La Vida online and quickly fell... More

I have stayed here twice before and Encanta La Vida does not disappoint. The staff is amazing, the food is plentiful and very healthy. The grounds are tropical, wildlife is abundant and a short 5 minute tropical walk to a very easy surf break, Pan Dulce. More challenging breaks are 10 minute and 15 minute walks, Backwash and Matapaolo. HIGHLY... More

Really nice staff. The place is nice. Needs a little loving care here and there but it's a really pretty environment and quiet. Food fair to good. There's wi-fi but just baaaarely a signal. The owner is a surfing obsessed, so if that's not your gig, he's not particularly interested in you. It's a nice place, just not great value.

We just returned from our Costa Rican spring break vacation, with my wife and 18 year old daughter. We stayed at Encanta La Vida for 4 nights and could have stayed longer.... Overall, we had a great time there, but you must know what you are getting in for.... We heard that Peninsula Osa was hot, but this was HOT... More

The staff was amazing. The view was amazing. The food...AMAZING! I highly reccomend encanta la vida for your next vacation or yoga retreat. Did I mention the drinks? AMAZING! My eintre time at this lodge was magical. WIFI was not good, but I was excited to get "off the grid" so no complaints.

Yes it lives up to it's name. Lovely small resort set in the jungles of southern Costa Rica. Long on my radar and when I finally arrived I could not believe I had waited so long. It is well off the grid and a trek to get there but worth the effort. Lovely dwellings, well maintained, professional and friendly staff... More

This was our second visit to Costa Rica. We wanted to experience more of the natural beauty and wildlife of this country. This lodge is off the grid, but has the comforts you find at other hotels without the crowds. The staff was fantastic. Very informative and so friendly! The monkeys entertained and thrilled us with their antics. Thanks to... More
