Location is great , a few minutes drive from the ferry boat, plus connected to all main roads so its makes it easy to get to other sites. Rooms very well kept and clean, towels changed every day ... definitely a plus. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Altana hotelTinos

This was our first visit to Tinos and we were not disappointed. We stayed at the Altana boutique hotel just 800 mts from the port. We took a taxi, lazy but it was very hot and only cost 5 euros. We had a lovely warm welcome from Clairy and Michael.
The apartment we had chosen could only be described as spacious and stunning. The front door opened into a large, fully equipped kitchen. The large air conditioned lounge was just off to the left, with lovely day sofas, comfy chairs and large led screen tv.
Off to the right there was a toilet and walk in shower. In the corner was a built in day bath and shower, I think it was made with the intention of grown up fun.. say no more.
The large spacious and well laid out bedroom was just off the lounge. Excellent bed, with separate toilet and shower . Well designed hand basin and mirror just behind the bed.The room had its own separate air conditioning.
An excellent breakfast was included in our stay. The food was delicious and all freshly prepared.
Truly enjoyable stay.

Very well equipped hotel organized by siblings (brother and sister) who are extremely welcoming and always open to chat. Beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed, huge balcony. The pool looks nice though too small for swimming. 5 minutes walk to the port. Just the surroundings of the hotel don't look nice - street (quite calm at night) and buildings. 3 minutes walk to the small Stavros beach which is suitable for a swim though I wouldn't spend much time there.

We stayed here for 2 nights in this family run hotel whilst island hopping round the Cyclades. It is a real gem. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was amazing. The rooms are lovely as is the pool and little terrace. One to definitely look out for

A nice place to stay with a great small pool to cool off in. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and only a 10 minute walk into the centre of the port. It is easy to walk to two beaches and very local restaurants and bars. We really enjoyed our stay here and found the family run business extremely welcoming! Also, a very good breakfast was served.

We stayed at Altana hotel in Tinos in August 2011 and we can´t say enough good things about it. It is a charming hotel in a beautiful island. we stayed in a double room but the suites seemed just as nice, furnished in the Cyclade style. The breakfast was good, the swimming pool very nice and the location perfect: not too far away but close enough to the town center (by foot). But we strongly recommend this hotel because it is runned by family members that were very kind and made us feel really welcome and at home! 5*

We booked 2 rooms for a family vacation this summer and were beyond pleasantly surprised to find a beautiful boutique hotel that felt like something out of a high end travel magazine. Modern and very Cycladic design - crisp white contrasted with an intimate blue pool and the beautiful ocean view. Our [very clean] rooms had all the amenities we'd expect in an NYC hotel (and certainly more than we expected on a Greek island!), although we were short on shelf/closet space. Excellent service! Family owned and operated, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Transportation to/from the port included. Great breakfast buffet with fabulous croissants imported from the mainland. Stylish and welcoming reception/lobby. We've been to Tinos many times, but will never again stay anywhere other than the Altana. The best hotel I've seen on Tinos!

We stayed here in May 2011. Don't know the cost since it was part of an island-hopping tour booked for us by Greek Sun.
This small family-run hotel has been entirely refurbed in the past couple of years or so, and everything is very fresh and spotlessly clean. It is located on the not very busy main road on the outskirts of Tinos Town, which is an easy ten minute walk away (or 5 euros in a taxi). Our bedrooms were on the front, but we were not aware of any traffic noise at all. Rooms were on the small side, but perfectly adequate for our two night stay. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom was fine, and the shower was the best we encountered anywhere during our holiday. Breakfast, served in the pleasant lobby/bar area, was very good indeed.
The owners were in constant attendance at reception - very approachable and helpful.
We did not use the rather small pool - more of a plunge pool than a swimming pool. All in all, we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, which we consider very suited to a more mature clientele.
We hired a car - well worth it, because although the island is small, there are lots of places of interest to see.
