If you're looking for a full service resort or a social scene, Sky Beach Club is not the place to go. If you want peace & quiet in a relatively affordable (for Eleuthera) beachfront location then maybe it is. The sandy beach is long, great for walking and swimming, if the wind off the Atlantic is not too strong. However, there's a lot of garbage above the high tide line, washed ashore from ships dumping at sea and also no shade or place to sit. The beach pavilion shown in photos has been damaged and closed ; and though management said there would be chaises on the beach, none showed up during my 5-night stay. The hot tub shown in pictures is also closed. The pool is nice, but was quite cold during my stay, maybe because of a lot of rain prior to my visit. It also has a rough, toe-scraping bottom. On the plus side there were hardly any people using the pool or the beach during my stay. Sky Beach Club basically consists of several villas up on the hill and three 2-person bungalows next to the pool, bar and restaurant just a flight of steps above the beach. Only Bungalow #1 has a real view of the ocean and pool. The restaurant is not elegant but the food was very good. It does not open until noon and is closed on Mondays. Set up for doing breakfast in the bungalows is fine—microwave, toaster, frig, coffee maker, coffee and dishes—and eating a quiet breakfast on my terrace looking out at the ocean was nice. Besides an ample terrace, the bungalow was spacious, modern and had a huge bathroom, including a shower large enough for 2+ and a comfortable soaking tub with air jets. The main drawback of the place was no staff or management on site. This meant that (for American phone services) everything from check-in to any questions or issues was an international phone call to the management—and cell service was usually one bar. My issues were not major, just annoying to have to chase down, including lights burned out in bedroom (fixed), TV not working (not fixed), no cushions for terrace furniture (out being repaired), running out of coffee packets (took two days and 4 calls to get resupply, which was a jar of instant). Also take heed that the road into the club is one of the worst I've ever driven, all rocks and deep ruts up over a hill and then down again—my rental car made it, but very slow and careful.…

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful vacation staying at the Bungalow. It was clean, spacious and accurate in terms of what the listing had described. We made use of the kitchen accessories that were provided (plates, bowls, cups, utensils, minifridge, microwave, coffee maker ect.) which was helpful when picking up food in town with a car that was easily rented. It was extremely relaxing with our own private patio and various kinds of lounge chairs while also offering a more social atmosphere at the restaurant and bar. While we had seen a review mentioning a slightly uncomfortable bed, we slept comfortably every night. The views were amazing from the property, we felt extremely safe and at-home and spent a lot of time (frequently without seeing another person) on the beautiful beach just steps from the bungalow, as well as floating in the pool and taking advantage of the swim-up bar. I could not have asked for a more friendly and accommodating staff on the property and restaurant/bar as well (Mekell who welcomed us with a seamless check-in, Sammy at the bar, Pascal and Francesca at the restaurant and the younger staff helping to take care of the house and ground-keepings) not to mention - the food and drink at Pascal's was delicious!! Pam from the rental team was also extremely helpful with my Q&A's via email. Absolutely loved Sky Beach Club! We went for a week at New Years and it was magical. The resort is very small so you are never around a crowd. The water at the beach was as clear as a pool and there were never others around. It was very secluded and private. The restaurant food was really good and Sammy the bartender was amazing. All staff very friendly and helpful. We rented a home and it had everything we needed and was beautiful! The road around the resort is very rocky and not paved smoothly but that was not an issue. We are already planning to return as soon as we can! The only negative would be that I would’ve liked having chairs on the beach… but we made it work with just sitting on towels. Would highly recommend this quiet, beautiful little piece of paradise at Sky Beach Club. Cannot wait to go back!…

We stayed at the Villa and its was great. 4 bedroom, 4 bath...with more then enough towels. Kitchen was well stocked for family dinner with so many utensils. The quiet view of the ocean was great with no high rise hotel noise. Sammy the bartender is the best...and the conch fritters no words the best!!!! The road to the place was rough but we saw them doing improvements. Highly recommend a car to get to/from airport, grocery store and some local restaurants. Looking forward to another restful, peaceful stay in 2023.

Our Sky Beach Cub home for the week was one of our best weeks ever. It was a special girls trip, when saw the home for the first time, our reaction was, "Are you kidding me? We're staying here? How lucky are we!" When we entered the home, it felt majestic. The ceilings are high, and there is an incredible view of the Atlantic Ocean. The home is built to sustain hurricanes. There's plenty of room to relax, or mingle with your friends. Oh, and if you love travertine as much as I do, you'll be in heaven. There is a lovely pool/bar/restaurant on the property. Good food, pool, drinks, views, and entertainment. The Bahamas are a place, a state of mind, and are unique and untouched in many ways. If you want to let your car loose like you're on the autobahn, well, get that out of your way before you come here. The Queen's Highway and the side roads are not necessarily meant for speed. The quirks of the island and the club are what make it a special getaway. It's cozy, clean updated and safe. We're already dreaming about going back here! It's that special. Sky Beach Resort is absolutely heaven on earth! The home was beautiful, well equipped and very spacious. The views were out of this world! The private patio and pool were so relaxing. Everyone we met was so friendly. I loved walking on the beach (a quick 5 minute walk down the hill). We rarely saw more than two other people. But my absolute favorite thing was snorkeling. To be able to snorkel within walking distance from the home is so special. The coral reef and fish were amazing! I snorkeled every day that I was there. You can access a reef on either side of the island by walking from the resort. One of my favorite vacations ever!

What a lovely, lovely spot. We had such a blast at Sky Beach Resort! The home where we stayed had amazing views, a great kitchen and very nice en suite baths for each bedroom. One highlight was the daily walks we did on the truly amazing beach--so beautiful, and we had it all to ourselves most days! Enjoying drinks by the resort pool with live music one memorable evening was another memory I won't soon forget. And we also had lots of time to relax and enjoy time with friends while soaking in the spectacular views from many different spots in the resort. Sky Beach is the perfect spot to unwind and relax while you vibe with the beautiful nature that surrounds you.

Sky Beach is fabulous! This was our fourth visit and we can’t wait to go back! We rented a gorgeous home that was spacious and well equipped. Sky Beach is the perfect location in the middle of the island and close to the adorable town of Governors Harbour. We loved being able to walk to the pool and Sammy’s bar at Sky Beach. The beach is magical. You can walk forever and hardly see a soul. It’s like having your own private beach. We’ve been with couples, girls trip and families. It’s perfect for any kind of group. We love Sky Beach!

I cannot believe how run down this “resort” is! First of all, you need a rugged 4x4 to even get up this dilapidated entrance! The beach access roads on the island are easier to navigate than this road to the resort ! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! Disgusting! The pool needs to be re-plastered, I don’t even know where to begin with the disgusting so called “hot tub” that looks like it is broke or hasn’t worked for years… lovely collection of dead leaves and debris in it. Lets just say , this resort need a major overhaul, it may have been nice it its “hay day”, i do t even have the words to describe it. Look at the pics for yourself. I would t even let my dead dog stay here. Forget about the landscaping, or lack there of it! The only thing they have going for them is that they are on a gorgeous beach! You should be ashamed of yourselves to be selling this property, it shouldn’t even be advertised for anyone to book FIX THIS DISGUSTING PLACE! You are not doing any justice to your guests! We got a little bungalow which is quite amazing for a couple. It's directly at the pool, which has sea view, and Pascal’s restaurant Cons: - no check-in counter / desk - the road to the bungalow is quite broken - no room cleaning was done Overall a good recommendation and the many positive things are worth the few small cons
