Best place in Guasacate - 3 months in Popoyo

It was my second time staying at Club Surf Popoyo. Now, for 3 months. Best place to stay, 10 minute walking to the main wave, great place, clean rooms, amazing pizzas. All you can expect to have a great trip. Felippo and Barbara are fantastic. It's a place to be part of a family.

Surf trip

Recently stayed at Club Surf Popoyo for 8 days on a solo surf trip. Highly recommend the place. Owners Fillipo and Barbara where very welcoming and helpful as well was their entire staff. Rooms where clean and ocean is your backyard. They helped me organize surf lessons with a local instructor also helped me rent boards. Restaurant is great as well daily pre surf breakfast and the pizza is amazing as well as every other meal I had on my stay. They also help organize surf trips to other spots near Popoyo which is a plus to people who want to explore different breaks while in Nicaragua. Had a great time and highly recommend it.

Oasis

I have been visiting Club Surf in Popoyo for the last ten years…it keeps getting better and better…Clean, Comfortable & Affordable…it’s a magic combination…Fillippo & Barbara lead a the most hardworking and dedicated staff, their attention to detail amidst such a laid back vibe is amazing…not to mention their food is incredible, a true oasis in beautiful, remote Popoyo, Nicaragua…Club Surf is always on point…looking forward to seeing you next time…5 star all the way Best,Dan

Surf trip August 2014

I recommend the hotel and the excellent food. Felippo is a great manager and a amazing cooker, specially with his pasta and pizzas! Tranquility, silence, harmony and nature wait for you! Enjoy your vacation!

Loved our stay!

We had such a great time here, the place is really clean, all the staff are really friendly and helpful! It’s a great spot to chill and surf. Highly recommend it to everyone, we already miss it! Thank you everyone at Club Surf Popoyo!

Paradise in Popoyo

First off I’m not one to write reviews... I visited Nicaragua for the first time last year strictly to surf. I was lucky enough to travel with some friends who had previously stayed with Filippo and his Family at Club Surf Popoyo. They boasted about many of this places great attributes and this placed lived up to all the hype. From the quick walk to many great waves, to effortless airport transfers, to amazing food and great surf guide and boat services. This place is second to none! The best part for me is the hospitality they provide. You’re sitting ocean front in a very nice, well kept and extremely clean and safe place. You feel as you’re part of the Family. Filippo, his family and his staff are nicer than you can imagine. They welcome you each day with open arms and smiles on their faces. They’re all truly a joy to be around. This alone brings me back to Club Surf Popoyo each year! Thank you for everything Filippo, CHEERS! I’ll see you soon my friend! Irish…

Feeling in a paradise

The hostel is located on the beautiful Popoyo's beach. The rooms are cozy and extreamly clean, confortable and silent at night. In the morning you can have the wonderful breakfast cooked by Filippo & Barbara, with many variety from local "gallopinto", english breakfast or italian breakfast. Lunch and dinner are also amazing with italian special food lasagna, carbonara, and pizza at the night. During the day you can have good drinks any the time for refersh :-), rest on the amacas reading a nice book or go and enjoy the beach and the wonderful waves. If you are not an expert in surf, Filippo and Barbara can also help you to find the correct course and training for you, and all the equipment you need. Once you get there you have the feeling that you are just in the perfect place at that moment and nothing has to change. Definitely my best experience abroad, ever. Strongly reccomended for every kind of trip you are looking for, least but not last, traveling with kids.…

We wanted to travel, but fell in love with Club Surf Popoyo

Our plan was to stay for a few days before traveling further. At the end, the helpful and relaxed atmosphere around Barbara, Filippo and their staff made us stay for 4 weeks! We leave full of energy after our longer stay at this quiet place. We liked our clean room, the various food on offer in the restaurant and loved the great beach right in front of our room.

Best spot in Popoyo.

Filippo and Barbara are so incredibly sweet...they treat you as if you are part of the family and the staff is excellent. The place is as clean as can be and super comfortable...beers are always cold and waiting and the food is fan-frickin-tastic! I can’t wait to return next year if not sooner!

Always a great time every year!

Fillipo and his wife Barbara are the best! We wouldn't go anywhere else when we travel to Nicaragua for our surf trips. Best food, friends, and above all smiles! We love these guys every year! How can you be the best food and friends in the area! Its a must go as long as we always can come back ;)
