I don’t know where to start with how great this place is! My wife and I stayed for three nights and were very sad to leave. Our room was super cool, the second floor of a casita. A thatched hut build style but with screen material all around the interior roof framing to keep out mosquitos and jungle critters which seemed to be effective. Room was immaculately clean and comfortable, bathroom was very nice, modern and clean as well. The room didn’t have AC but it did have a strong ceiling fan which was plenty adequate for us. We loved the omelettes with the homemade toast in the morning and both the fish and chicken tacos were fantastic! Everything that we tried was very good, and it seemed that people from other hotels in the area were coming by to have their meals here. And the staff was always warm and friendly and accommodating and tolerant of our poquito espanol. We visited during the rainy season, which consisted of some rain late at night and mostly clear, warm and sunny days, lucky for us? Or maybe thats just normal? Anyhow it was perfect and the beaches were clean and beautiful and practically empty aside from a few surfers. Great days swimming in the ocean, crazy sunsets, nice walks down the beach to tide pools and rock formations. Plenty of cool stuff to do. We rented a medium 4x2 suv from Managua airport and it was fine for the roads to get there. There were some big puddles from previous rain but nothing problematic. Just be sure to take the route that goes via Rivas - the “shortcut” I wouldn’t recommend unless you are looking for off-road adventure! Also the guys who came to do the brick-oven pizza pop-up menu were very cool and the pizza was great. Nice surprise. I never would have thought to try the pizza in nicaragua but it was fantastic! Overall the whole setup at casitas pacific is very well thought out and it makes for a relaxing, fun and really unforgettable environment. Can’t wait to go back and can’t recommend it strongly enough! Thank you for having us!

Comfortable, clean, spacious accommodations on this beautiful beach. The included breakfast was outstanding. The pizzas available for purchase at night were just right for our group sitting under the cabana. Very friendly staff.

This is the second time I stayed here and it was even better than the first time! This place has EVERYTHING!! The food is great (there are vegetarians options thank god!) the rooms are so pretty; each one have like a theme, the prices are good!! And the people.. they are so awesome!! It was my bday, and they surprised me with a brownie and a happy bday! It was so nice!! The owners are so nice!! Words can’t describe how welcome they make you feel. Definitely I HIGHLY recommend this place. 🤩

We looked at a few hotels in the Popoyo area and none looked very attractive, or they did not accept dogs, until we arrived at Casitas Pacific: we immediately felt comfortable with the vibe, the owner and her mother were super friendly, and they welcomed my cute pup with open arms: we were sold! The rooms well designed with polished concrete floors and nice details that make them stylish without trying too hard. We had upstairs rooms which have no AC but with the ceiling fan and the breeze from the ocean we did not miss it at all. The beach deck is very cute - literally right on the beach, and the cocktails were great: could not have been a more pleasant way to watch the sunset before ordering dinner (it was pizza night so that's what we had and we were pleasantly surprised by how good and low priced they were; only wish they also had a simple salad on the menu to go with the pizza but not a big deal). Would definitely go back and recommend (the rates are more than reasonable for what you get: totally worth it and more..)

Though we have made several prior trips to Nicaragua, we were slightly concerned returning considering the political unrest of 2018. As a couple in our 60’s, we never felt even a twinge of unease during our 2 week visit. We rented a car and a motorcycle and travelled all over SW Nica and never once felt unsafe. It is an incredibly beautiful destination and infinitely more interesting than most other places one might choose to get away from the brutal Northern winters. Casitas Pacific is directly on a beautiful beach, is spotlessly clean, very comfortable, very affordable, and is run by kind, lovely people. The food is great. We loved the breakfasts served on the beach. I can not recommend this place highly enough! We can’t wait to return next year.
