Our room was to die for. We booked the air de olive for a more luxury experience and we were not disappointed. The view was amazing, bed was comfy, the double shower was HUGE and just omg, amenities were great, interior decor was beautiful. The staff helped me with an early checkin and late checkout and held our bags for us after checkout so we could spend some time doing other stuff in San Juan while we waited for our flight. All of the staff were very friendly. I felt safe and at home. I highly recommend this hotel. We will be staying here again on our next visit
The staff were welcoming and the place was very clean. The updated and newly renovated rooms are worth staying there. The restaurant on the rooftop was perfect to close any evening. Natalia in the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful.
Great location though sparse hotel, no desk, poor lighting, one chair, minimal towels and poor water pressure. Staff is friendly and pool/ bar area are nice. Clean but doesn't super clean. Noce being across from the beach. Pool is on the roof. Great view but small area
Do not stay here!!!name of hotel should be changed to Run Down San Juan water and beach club. Dirty everything from sheets to floor to bathroom. Stay away, unless you enjoy disappointment and uncleanlinesses. They need to close until remodeling is done or provide their current information to unaware guest before they book here. I had a second reservation canceled and the hotel staff try to say they were doing me a favor since it was a non refundable reservation!!!
All around felt like a “bait and switch” experience. What was advertised was NOT what was delivered. I reserved the room on the O:live website. The photo of the room looked dated but after reading the room amenities (and reviews from other travelers) and understanding that Aire O:live was a new twist on the original O:live, I decided to trust the room amenities write up instead of the photo. Upon arrival, pleasant Natalia greeted us. I asked if one of the 2 rooms with private pools were available to upgrade to but she said the hotel was fully booked. After receiving our branded Aire O:live room key we headed to our room. We knew we’d been duped when we walked off the elevator to neon room number and blue neon lights on the ceiling and around mirrors in the hall. Upon entering the room we saw a dirty floor, more neon lighting. Some weird curtain thing covering the safe and coffee area. The air conditioning was old and not powerful. The blackout shades were falling down. Their was a fire alarm (or something) beeping every 10 minutes throughout the night. The “luxury linens” I read about the hotel having were completely non existent. Pillowtop mattress… non existent. We would have left the hotel and gone elsewhere but didn’t wasn’t to lose the almost $600.00 we paid for 2 nights in our “non refundable” Aire O:live room. We found out that only certain floors of the hotel was “Aire O:live”. Again, not what was advertised, what I read on the website or what was printed on my room key. They seem to be caught in the middle of an O:live experience and a Sea Water Beach Club experience (the hotel it is.. or was…). Even this review is in a no-man’s” land as it will probably fall into a review under the old hotel. Really disappointed. …
Hospitality was awesome. Open doors for you, greet you every time you leave and come back. The rooms… awful. Uncomfortable bed. A/C unit never shuts off unless you turn it off your self. House keeping only changed sheets and towels and periodically grabbed the trash. We were there for a week and they only swept and mopped one time. Sand was all over our floor 24/7. There was always construction going on near the front entrance so it was difficult for Ubers to get to us.
When I arrived at the hotel I asked the front desk person if there were any available upgrades as I am an Expedia VIP Gold Member. She said no. Proceeded to check me into room 503. The room was horrible. No vibrant paintings on the wall as picture on the site. Paint and tiles were chipping. Bathroom was dirty and the water controls were awful. The TV didn’t work. The bed was not comfy. Just all around not worth the money you spend to stay here. I called back down and I was told she would find another room. 20 mins later a room on the 9th floor was available. This room was much better than the previous room. I don’t understand why this wasn’t offered to me in the first place. Upon check in I was also given a letter that the hotel would be out of power and water functions from 11-5 pm the next day. Completely unacceptable. I had to walk up and down 9 flights of steps at 5 months pregnant. Just ridiculous. The valet service was awesome. Quick and reliable. The snacks and drinks in the room were overpriced. Not a good experience. Very close to the beach and surrounded by convenience but not worth it to me. I won’t be staying here again. …
No nightly air conditioning; power on and off all night; construction noise all morning; staff rude with attitudes; $500 extra charges for towels and water??; paint & chlorine smells everywhere; expensive hotel says "beach front" which translates to parking lot view - far away from beach!!! Don't be fooled or waste your money - everyone we met was complaining
This hotel is old, the elevator looks like it falling apart. The rooms do not have any furniture. No sofa, no work desk, and no refrigerator. The King Balcony view is very nice, but everything is old and falling apart. My shower head almost came out of the wall, the hot water takes a long time to heat up and then it does not last long.
We were not refunded our funds for the reservation even though we didn’t stay there because we couldn’t travel to Puerto Rico because our flights were cancelled due to Hurricane Fiona. They should be more compassionate with clients who cannot not travel due to natural disasters
