We spent two perfect weeks on a family holiday in January in this truly wonderful place. The island and its beaches are idyllic and the fabulous rooms and facilities blend in beautifully.
Every member of staff was fantastic. They could not be more helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The moment you are met at Male airport by the charming and efficient Ifuru Island Rep, you know you are in safe hands.
Upon arrival at the resort, you are greeted with the most friendly welcome. Everything is taken care of to ensure your time is enjoyable. We had a two bed beach villa with pool which was decorated and furnished to a high standard and immaculately clean. Everything you need is provided. Rooms, pool and private garden are cleaned daily and fresh towels, linen and drinks for the minibars provided. The spacious accommodation opens via its garden onto the beach allowing you privacy, freedom and peace.
If you need reminding there are others on this tranquil paradise island, choose from the Beach Club Bar where friendly welcoming staff provide you with your choice of cocktail to enjoy on the comfy relaxing sunbeds, or the Hubba Hubba Bar overlooking the resort’s pool and patio area. Experienced bartenders will mix you up your favourite, or something new from their extensive list of exotic drinks. Even lounging by the pool you are waited on at all times with regular drinks, cold towels and fresh fruit.
Lunch and dinner can be taken at a variety of restaurants, at one of the bars or the poolside pizza kitchen where your delicious pizza is personally cooked to order. Everywhere the food is sublime. Our family of five, with varying tastes were spoilt for choice everywhere we ate. Quality of the food preparation is the highest imaginable and if it’s not on the menu, just ask.
Whether dining a la carte, ordering something not on the menu, or enjoying fresh fish and steak from the Palm Grill, from exquisite snacks to fine-dining, everything was included as part of the all-inclusive package. Quite honestly we could not have wanted for more.
Our three children in their early twenties found lots to do when they weren’t relaxing. Scuba diving with trained instructors is on hand, Kayaks and paddleboards are available FOC and snorkels, masks and flippers are provided so that you can enjoy swimming out to explore the reef. For the sedate, just walk gently out into the warm water with the sand between your toes and shoals of brightly coloured fish will swim around you while you enjoy the uninterrupted view of the ocean and neighbouring islands.
At the marina, charter a boat to take you to other islands or jet-skis if you are feeling adventurous. There is also a tennis court which was enjoyable for the family, especially as the kit provided by the Spa, includes your own “Ball-Boy” who arrives with your racquets, balls, chilled water and fresh towels and then proceeds to collect every ball you hit over the fence and provides such a perfect service you think you’re at Wimbledon !!
The Island benefits from its own private airstrip which enables the on-site skydiving. It’s a must for every age group! Safely in the hands of experienced skydivers, you can jump in tandem and experience the exhilarating thrills and fabulous views from the air.
If you want to relax and unwind, the resort’s Xanadu Spa is beautifully designed, extremely well equipped and you can relax in the sauna or steam room, enjoy a massage from experienced therapists or join a yoga session in the peaceful surroundings and tranquil gardens.
We give this Island Resort our highest recommendation. The staff are truly amazing, well trained, impeccably mannered and fun to be around. Wine and beverages are of the highest standard (even the coffee is fabulous), the food is ‘out of this world’ and the hotel facilities provide for your every comfort.
Do not hesitate to book your holiday here. The resort opened about 6 months ago and you have your own private island. Book now before word gets out and it becomes fully booked all year.

Our recent stay at Ifuru Island was a memorable one. Ifuru is the place where all the staff remember your personal taste/preferences / names after meeting you just once. So much attention is paid to detail, and they clearly want to cater for the guests. The food was out of this world, probably the best resort food anywhere in the world. All the Chefs are professional and take real pride in their culinary expertise. The service was impeccable and more that what we had expected from the team.
Our day always started with a stroll on the pristine beach before breakfast, where a fruit platter always awaited our arrival. The day was then spent by the pool or on the beach.
Hubba Hubba bar is the centre point of the resort where we were well looked by Rudy, Vivek, Raj, Queenie, Vikas, . Deva Takesi thank you the Green Power every morning and thank you to Kuva for the best masala tea everyday. Lahiru, thank you for the best thin crust garlic and chilli pizza.
At Social House breakfast and lunch is served with buffet dinner in the evening. Thank you to all the staff and specially to Shay, Nikki , Ida, Marhush, Julie , Sandun, Masa, Rocky, Deli and a very special hug to Annie the Smiling face of Ifuru. Shyam and Vishal thank you for taking extra care of my wife who is vegetarian.

The island of Ifuru is a new resort for the Maldives which officially opens in early December 2023. I had the pleasure of a pre-opening stay on the island and the resort.
The Beach Suite accommodation was spacious with large walk-in shower, separate toilet and dressing area. The main area has extra large king size bed, fridge and room for a fold down single bed. Double fronted sliding glass doors to a personal patio with outside bed/seating plus individual chairs for 2 and table. Its a stone throw from the white sand beach and aqua sea.
The main resort area for dining, pool and bar is a short walk either via the beachfront or pathway from behind the accommodation, if you are feeling lazy you can always call for an electric buggy to pick you up and take you to the main resort area.
Large pool area both shallow and deep with a new surprise every day of inflatables. Between the restaurants and the pool is a grass area with palm trees scattered around and in the evenings there are an aray of coloured light balls.
Palm Grill consists of beautiful carved wood benches and tables. Food is a choice of Meat and Seafood,
Main restaurant for breakfast and dinner is ala carte. The bar area serves pizza every afternoon and you can choose to have a variation of what is on offer. Praline Chocolate Dessert is fabulous as is the ice cream and sorbets.
The waterfront restaurant is a short stroll along the beach or via main paths or via buggy. Look for the blue blue building which extends into the sea. Food is superb and the desserts are to die for.
The large pool area and beach is well equipped with comfortable loungers, seats and umbrella's.
Staff are friendly and helpful with a couple of exceptional members of the team that cannot do enough and provide the extra touches consistently.
The island has alot of vegetation so provides a great canopy to walk around. There is a gym, plus bungalows with their own pool area. The island has its own runway, so transfers from Male can be arranged either via scheduled Maldavian airlines or via speedboard and seaplane.
The resort is new so have yet to experience the volume of holidaymakers and demands but I am sure they will be able to step up to the challenge.

Ifuru Island is remarkable and was a magical experience! We cannot wait to go back. We had the most incredible honeymoon. The resort is spotless and the staff make it very personalized and give you a one of a kind experience. The service, food and atmosphere was like no other. The food quality was outstanding and I can truly say that I had some of the best meals of my life at Ifuru. My first shout out goes to Sonia Armitage from Luxury Travel Escapes who recommended and booked this resort for us. She knew exactly what we wanted in a honeymoon and exceeded our needs and expectations. Another special shout out goes to Kuva Nesan who tended to us everyday and knew our order without fail! This man has the kindest most genuine heart of anyone I know! He went out of his way everyday to make sure we had shade, food and a drink! We thank Lahiru for making the most delicious pizza every day! Ari was a joy to have as well as she served us almost every night for dinner! Nikki from the Social House took care of us as well and made sure we always had what we liked for breakfast. Qeenie from the Hubba Bubba was so sweet and made sure we were always taken care of as well. Ammaty did our wedding shoot and the pictures were amazing! We have the best sunset and ceremony pictures. He is truly very gifted! Rochelle-The GM was just so welcoming and treated us with such kindness. She felt like an old friend we were seeing again yet we had never met! I returned to the Maldives for the third time and this time I was looking for a natural island with fine sand. it was exactly what we wanted. The beach is gorgeous and our villa on the beach was two steps from the water where we spent most of the day. swimming pool close to the ocean with many places to relax, superb beach bar. The food: very good and of high quality, we really liked the waterfront, but the buffet was extraordinary. the little one always found something to like for both lunch and dinner and the chef even made her favorite mozzarella sticks. for the first time I had the courage to find them in a resort that was delicious! We are not big drinkers but we enjoyed mango passion fruit mojito every day with or without alcohol! The staff is kind and very attentive, you feel that you are important to them, which means a lot to us, and that's how we should be treated in every resort, but it doesn't always happen, unfortunately! We went on a dolphin excursion and snorkelling twice, we liked it so much! The villa on the beach was new and very beautiful and the cleanliness was exceptional wow, I have rarely seen it, even the shells collected by our little girl from the beach were arranged according to shape and size by the person who made our room! We celebrated our daughter's 5th birthday and we received a very tasty cake, by the way all the desserts are wow, even the ice cream reminds you of Italy... During the days at the pool, you can serve free pizza which is delicious in conclusion, Ifuru pleasantly surprised us from all points of view and we can't wait to return to the island next year!

This is our 2nd trip to Ifuru and not sure how it managed to but it totally exceeded itself this time.
Upon landing at the private airport you are quickly whisked to the Friendship centre before going to your villa. The villas are amazing, all sunset, all very spacious, equipped with everthing you can need. Bathrobe, flip flops, slippers, all toiletries required.
On this trip we managed to do a few excursions; Dolphin cruise on the Catamaran, Snorkelling cruise and we even managed 2 sky dive jumps which was just beyond amazing.
The food is outstanding on this island from the delicious breakfasts at Social House, Pizza by the pool at Hubba Hubba, lite bite to eat on the beach at Beach Club, such amazing wraps, salads with a fantastic vibe, the 2 destination dining restaurants are another level; Beach Grill and Water front.
Anne and her team at Xanadu spa are amazing, we had the pleasure of early morning Yoga, the best full body massage, facial and hair treatments. Make sure you leave room in your luggage because the products used at the spa are fantastic.
Be sure to purchase a bottle of the islands own Scent, this is unisex and is just gorgeous and will make you keep your memories that little bit longer of Ifuru when you have to leave.
Every member of staff goes above and beyond on this island. Big thanks to everyone of them, Riushad our room attendent was just amazing and amazed us with his outstanding bed decorations.
The Sky-Dive team, thank you for such an amazing experience, each and everyone of you are just fantastic, if not slightly crazy for jumping out of planes every day. Dave, Will, Chris, Gina, Tano, Juan, we will be back.
End of your stay be sure to take advantage of the laundry service which is just amazing.

We went to Ifuru for our honeymoon and were blown away by the natural beauty of the location. It really is paradise, our villa led directly on to the beach and dazzling blue water. The wildlife and greenery is stunning, walking between the Social House and our villa seeing bats, crabs, lizards etc.
Our villa was great, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom with a standalone bath and inside & outside shower really made use of the surroundings. Being able to walk a few steps from our bed to be in the lovely Maldivian sun gave us the perfect location to relax, both secluded and with good access to the beach and lagoon.
The lagoon was home to multiple beautiful fish, perfect for snorkeling. I'm a complete beginner, but the equipment was all available and the lagoon is not too deep. I really enjoyed this.
The staff at Ifuru are superstars, we were greeted on arrival by Ayaan, who made it clear that he would ensure we had our best ever holiday. He was not wrong, he was always available to sort anything we required during our stay, be it reservations to the fantastic restaurants or booking excursions and the spa, or even just to get a lift around the island. Our villa was kept spotless and with lovely added touches each morning and afternoon, thank you Kasun. And the staff in all restaurants and bars were fabulous, with very high quality food and drink on offer.

Good afternoon, travelers! I am writing a review while my impressions are fresh) This is not my first holiday in the Maldives, there is something to compare with. The hotel is new on a natural island, so it’s very green! We got there by Manta Air seaplane and back by domestic taxi straight from the island where the hotel is located. Initially, I was negative and thought that the sounds of the plane and the smell of kerosene would be felt, but no, it was absolutely quiet and no discomfort. We lived in a beach villa with a luxurious bathroom. All rooms have good hair and body cosmetics and a Dyson hair dryer. Room cleaning twice a day. Everything is clean and perfect. The most luxurious main pool, every day different inflatable toys for swimming - ducks, flamingos, etc. The food in the main restaurant is excellent - buffet breakfast, ala carte lunch and dinner. You can also dine ala carte in a restaurant on the water, it’s incredibly beautiful and delicious. I can’t help but tell you about the beach club, a very stylish place with good music and a DJ, watching the sunset there is a special kind of pleasure! The sand on the beach is like flour, there is a coral entrance, and there is really good sand. The reef at the hotel is quite far away, we saw a turtle on the side of the diving club and a large white stingray regularly swims in the area of the main pool. The hotel has a children's club, a wonderful spa center, and yoga. In general, there are a lot of Instagrammable places in the hotel, you always want to take pictures of all the details. It is clear that a very good designer worked on the hotel. The staff is amazing, fulfills all desires and whims)) To summarize, a worthy hotel for a good holiday for both young people and married couples. I highly recommend it for those who value comfort and quality

This is our eighth visit to the Maldives, and Ifuru stands out as the best resort we’ve experienced. From the resort itself to the food, staff, accommodation, and amenities, everything was exceptional. It’s evident that Rochelle Kilgariff (Island Vibe Boss) did thorough research before the resort opened, ensuring a magical experience for all guests. Rochelle went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, constantly checking if there was anything she could do to enhance our holiday. She truly made us feel special. The staff were incredibly friendly, and while it’s impossible to mention everyone, we want to highlight a few. Isse ensured our villa was always spotless, and the creative artwork on the bed and bath was amazing. From the bar team, Isuru, Angel, Queenie, and Ida crafted fantastic cocktails and provided excellent service. The restaurant team, including Delia, Miyeoung, Mahrus, Nikki, Juli, and Shayy, were also outstanding. The food at the Waterfall and Bar Grill was A La Carte and did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the fresh pizzas served around the pool, perfect for when we didn’t feel like going to the buffet. The homemade ice cream and sorbet from the pink hut were delicious. A special mention goes to Chef Nadedja, who made our last night at the resort memorable by preparing an amazing meal tailored to my taste when the buffet didn’t cater to it. We are eagerly looking forward to returning next March for our 35th wedding anniversary, and we have friends who are excited to visit too.

Its not the offical facebook page, its a group that I set up as I have been to ifuru 6 times, I paused it as I have another group with over 40K members that covers Maldives in general as thats what I speacialise in and it makes sense to just run one group.
The GM was always moving on in September they have had a new GM in place months ago
There are more places to choose from in the Ifuru area.
