My husband and I purchased a gift card valued at $479.00 for his parents as a Chistmass gift. It's one of those "Romantic getaway" deals for two days and one night at the hotel with meals and hotsprings entry included... The front desk person charged us the full amount for this and mailed the gift certificate to the parents. They...

On our recent trip to Chena Hot Springs, we spent 5 nights at the resort. To begin, the pros/cons we found are as follows: Pros: -great place to see the Aurora Borealis. Being almost 60 mi outside of Fairbanks, no issue with light pollution. The lights were visible each night, sometimes as early as 10 pm, other nights at 2am....

I went here for one night hoping to see the northern lights and to experience the waters of the hot springs. Both were the best experience. The water is really warm and in some areas hot, it is lovely just to wade around in there and just look at the stars. The restaurant was very good too and the prices reasonable....

I enjoyed their hot spring a lot, make sure you visit their rock lake. The hot spring is free for the lodge guest, or the day pass is $15. Their aurora viewing trip is $75 (regardless of staying at there or not). You will go up to ~3000 feet and far away from other light sources. We stayed at their...

The Staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Moose Lodge, it was everything I expected and more. My husband had reservations about going in the winter time, but this was the perfect time. The hot springs were wonderful. It was so beautiful with the white snow. We went snowmobiling, dog sledding and just walked around the...

This place is 56 miles from Fairbanks. In Alaska 3 miles from town you are in other third world country. The rooms and facility are old, but clean and accomodating.this place generate its own electricity, used the thermal heat to heat the complex and also grow their vegetables for the restaurant consumption....therefore salads are fresh. Food in the restaurant is...

Location- Fantastic location. More of a youth camp than a “resort” not a romantic or comfortable place. Many activities snow mobile, airplane rides, cross country sky, snowshoes, a very short Dog Sled ride, snow coach tours (very slow going), aurora viewing (got a great viewing). All the equipment is old and rickety. There is nothing else around so you are...

I did not stayed at the resort for the nights, so this is the review only for what I experienced. Restaurant: 3 star. This restaurant is located in a lovely house with interesting decorations on the walls and ceiling: bear skins, moose horn etc. The food is average, but you should expect too much in Fairbanks. All restaurants we tried...

First of all, be aware that this is not a luxury resort. It is a funky, slightly run down and tacky place with beautiful views and plenty of things to do. It may be a bit overpriced, but considering the location, I'm sure it costs a lot to operate. We stayed two nights in a Signature Room (4 people and...

My husband and I traveled from Arizona and stayed 4 nights, this was our first time visiting Alaska. We took the snow coach to Charlie Dome and were blessed with an awesome light show the first night. We really didn't see much Aurora activity again unil the last night even though the forecast was a 4...come to find out the...
