Lovely location and hot spring with potential. The best thing was the breakfast: good food, good service, good value. The rest of the stay was lacking. The front desk staff wasn't trained how to balance random phone calls with guests with reservations arriving late due to delayed flights. The several buildings are outdated. As in so run down they look... More

A popular springs located near Fairbanks AK. One large outdoor rock enclosed pool with varying degrees of hot water. No good place to sit and relax, you have to stand in the water. An addition of a few rock benches would be nice. There are nice chairs on the porch. The bathrooms were clean, the hot tubs disgusting and smell... More

When I heard hot springs, a picture of a large area filled with several hot springs lagoons came in front of my eyes. Well, Chena hot springs isn't one of such places that my mind had painted. It's just one pond that didn't seem all natural. It has few other things going on in the resort premises, however none of... More

The joy of the Hot Springs. If you have been to Iceland, you would be appalled at this hokey styled resort. Sure they have hot springs, but it isn't the Blue Lagoon. (Which is quite touristy within itself). Every move you make is a chance to encounter another fee. 25 cents for the locker to go in the springs???? The... More

The hot springs were nice and relaxing. Really hot, which I get. I'm just too much of a hot tub person so I had to take lots of breaks out of the water. But it was relaxing and if you can find that balance it's great.

Came with a big family. Called a couple days in advance and they never said anything about the pool being closed. Had a lazy river (with no current) but it broke the day we arrived. Kids can't do the hot springs so they were only able to do a hot tub. Had paid $100 for the kids to swim. Couldn't... More

OK -- this is not luxurious or fancy. But my friend's knee was much much better after a couple hours in the spring. (I would bring a noodle or some kind of hand held float next time. The room (50% off for Alaskan Residents - my friend) was beyond basic. NO WIFI unless you pay $8/day. We had fun, it... More

Just because someone drives all the way out here, doesn't mean they are going to submit to rude staff, horrible atmosphere, and nickel and diming. Front desk was so rude! Told us to park our RV at end of airstrip. I thought he was serious and the airstrip wasn't active. Then a plane came in! Then he told us we... More

We are Alaskan residents and decided to go for the first time while family was visiting. Despite the GPS and maps app it does not take 3 hours from Fairbanks, it takes about an hour. The hot springs itself is small, Americanized, and full of tourists. They charge $15 even if you're already paying to stay at the resort and... More

Who can say they went swimming in the winter? When I tell people about this they think I am crazy and find it hard to believe but you can! :) Wife and I had heard about this place and we decided we would go visit family in Fairbanks and then drive out here to see what's up. I was so... More
