We planned to stay 2 nights in Chena Hot Springs and we're glad we cancelled our 2nd night! We were bored out of our minds!!! First of all, unfortunately, the weather wasn't favourable... we had a wet day and night so that meant, no Aurora Borealis which we were hoping to see at Chena Hot Springs. Second night was meant... Had an amazing time with wife at the hot springs. Ice museum was an added attraction. Food at the restaurant was good had the thai curry and the salmon. Both perfectly cooked. Wouldnt stay there but good for a day's visit.

Incredible natural hot springs about an hour from Fairbanks, with fresh crisp air, and magical when snowing. Nice and easy trails to walk on; horse riding ATV, bike riding etc if you are cashed up make a variety of things to do. The staff and tour guides friendly, informative and helpful- they really make this place. Glimpsing the aurora borealis... More

We had a day to kill before our 1am flight back to the UK.... so we checked out of Fairbanks - drove the hour here. Paid $15 each for the hot springs - bought our own towels (recently bought from Fred Meyers) . Glad we did - theirs are $5 to hire and looked a bit threadbare and scratchy. Lockers... More

Drove the hour drive from Fairbanks for a nice relaxing day and got just that. Went on a rainy Friday so not too crowded, highly recommend not going when it's crowded. The rock pool is top notch! Fantastic! If you have kids it'd be tough as they can't swim in the rock pool, but it creates a great environment for... More

Need to go! So relaxing! Went in March when the weather was cold(only 3 degreesF) and windy. Still went in the hot springs. They have lockers for a quarter and showers. Can change in the locker room. Don't be afraid that it will be too cold bc your in your swimsuit. The steam from the hot springs keeps you from... More

The hot springs are nice when it's dark. The rest of it is minging. If you have a car drive there and don't take a 'tour' from fairbanks. Plus if you accidentally leave your camera or something expensive there and need it back.... don't email them because they don't respond and also after the 4th call explaining what I have... More

I just visited Chena and it was a lot of fun. The drive out there is very beautiful. The hot springs are very refreshing and the water feels great. The restaurant food was delish. The clam chowder is amazing. Also have the salmon infused vodka Bloody Mary. Take the ice museum tour. Travis was a great guide and the appletini... More

About 60 miles east from Fairbanks at the end of the paved road, there is a wooden gate, behind which is the parking lot, buildings and hotels. And signs to the pools. Following the signs, I found the green building where I bought the ticket (13usd). The lockers (25 cents), showers and dressing rooms are right behind the corner. There... More

This was a disappointment. There was a pool and jacuzzi filled with the hot spring water and one large relaxing pool for adults. Water did not seem clean but maybe that is how hot springs normally occur. The ice museum was a 45 minute tour that you were allowed to explore on your own. I was done in 10 min
