The hotel is centrally located, all sites and restaurants are within walking distance. I loved my room. I stayed in room #5. It was small but it had everything that I needed. The attention to detail is great. The hotel is so charming. The staff are all helpful and accommodating. It’s about a 5-10 minute drive to the train and... More

"Fur coat & no ...." Entrance very impressive but bedroom almost hostel like. Soap dispensers!! So sad cos it has such potential if rooms were properly designed with luxury fixtures & fittings noise would fade. We did not have breakfast as again dining area needs a makeover. Staff very nice & welcoming.

Really liked this place. Small, historical, very friendly staff. Can't speak the value because it was included in a Rick Steve's tour but the character and location was very nice. The staff was helpful as well in planning and finding things such as a running route for me.

We were made to feel very welcome at this hotel, which retains its traditional converted house feel. Our room was very clean, our beds pretty hard so did impair our sleep somewhat, and there are few little extra touches provided. I felt the breakfast was a little lacking, we arrived on a Wednesday so couldn't have the option of a... More

This was our first trip to Ronda and or first nice find was that the hotel is in the old quarter and packed with all of the charm we had hoped for. We were welcomed like we were houseguests not paying clientele and the hotel has that love feel throughout. Parking may not be right on your door step, but,... More

Stayed here one night, Sunday till Monday. This old house made into a hotel is very well done, we were given room 23 on the ground floor right next to the door way in. It also was next to the road so any one getting in or out of there cars made some noise as well as people coming into... More

We recently spent three nights at this hotel and it was a magical experience throughout. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and treated to an upgrade to a junior suite. The large room was beautifully equipped with a lovely four poster and authentic furnishings. The bathroom was large and tiled in traditional, colourful tiles immaculately clean. Breakfast was generous good... More

The building is beautiful and located close to areas of tourist interest. The staff were very helpful and the room was quiet. The breakfast "A or B" choice is slightly odd but is not a problem. Parking is a short walk away.

Thank you for a lovely comfortable reasonably priced stay at an interesting 'Moorish' . Well appointed reasonably priced, great service, well appointed, comfortable hotel.Would stay there again. Beautifully located, parking is a problem but well organised. Wonderful restaurants in the near proximity....some of the best Tapas we've had in Spain...a really lovely spot.

I stayed here for 2 nights and had a superb time! The hotel itself is breathtaking, and is conveniently located near all of the sites. The rooms are clean and comfortable, great air conditioning and excellent wifi. The wait staff is super hospitable and friendly. Ronda is gorgeous and if I ever go back I will stay here again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This carefully restored building dates from the 18th century and lies in the most historic district of Ronda, surrounded by ancient monuments.Retaining much of its original charm, the San Gabriel still displays an attractive stone façade and the coat of arms of one of its former owners. Spend a quiet moment in the library corner or in the typically Andalusian courtyard, full of plants and a trickling fountain. Here you can start the day with the hotel’s delicious breakfast. You can also enjoy a film in the intimate cinema room, which includes red velvet seats taken from the city’s old cinema. Combined with its privileged location, the hotel facilities make this a truly authentic Spanish setting for your holiday in rural Andalusia. ... more   less
