We were lucky enough to stay at the Lodge at Blue Sky right before the pandemic hit and honestly it’s one of our last happy memories of “the before time.” We swam in the pool multiple times a day. Had wonderful snacks and drinks at the bar. The room was such a beautiful design and space. The shuttle went to the mountain which was easy and fantastic. Hoping to return again soon.
The lodge was AMAZING and everyone went out of their way to ensure that we had an incredible time. Jody in the restaurant is the most kind, caring, and lovely lady!!! Loved the pool with a great view! Violet was so kind to us a well and served us right at the pool! Took a yoga class and really enjoyed that too! All of the staff were wonderful and we truly enjoyed our stay! Hope to come back to visit very soon!
We spent 4 nights at the Lodge at Blue Sky and it was a wonderful experience! We thoroughly enjoyed the hiking, fly fishing and just relaxing on the property. The food was great, although it’s definitely a “relaxed vibe” and it can take a while to get your food- which is fine as long as you don’t have anywhere to be. The bartender Dave was great and Kaitlyn in the spa was AMAZING! Not a cheap vacation but definitely relaxing and quiet when you need to get away! Would love to come see it in the winter!
The resort is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, and the activities are great. This resort has so much potential but fails terribly on the execution. The service is really quite bad for a place of this cost and caliber. 2 separate gifts from 2 different individuals had been sent up to the room - wine and flowers. When we were first shown to the room, the wine was pointed out. However, the flowers were not pointed out at all, were over to the side of the room and we never noticed them (I don't believe there was a card displayed either). I was incredibly sad and embarrassed when the gifter asked me if I liked the flowers after I had already checked-out and I had no idea what she was referring to. Really really upset with this. Due to the social distancing requirements there were only 8 chairs set up and they were usually completely full. I wish the resort would set up some extra loungers on the grass area outside of the pool so that we had somewhere to relax outside of the room. Also, the service at the pool was incredibly incredibly slow. ~30 minutes to get one drink delivered and this happened repeatedly. Housekeeper was not wearing a mask when cleaning the room. The shower head choice is a bit strange - the shower takes up an entire room, why not have a rainfall shower? It really was underwhelming. The restaurant's chef was very successful in NYC and we were excited about this but the service was truly awful in many ways, the portion sizes day-to-day were incredibly inconsistent, and the food was not memorable. Costs for activities are sky-high and in some cases do not make any sense. 1 person can go clay shooting for 2 hours for ~$400 or 2 people can alternate turns shooting over those same 2 hours for ~$800. …
We were there for a couple of events. The events would not have been so successful but for the amazing care and personal service by Management and Staff alike!! It is a very special place and we would highly recommend to visit for business or pleasure!
