I wish I could say I loved it because I really wanted to love it, especially because travel is so restrictive right now. It was mixed for us, not amazing, but not terrible. The good: loved the spa and some of the activities. The rooms are very nice, fresh and new. We arrived post dinner after a long drive, and called, and they had dinner waiting in our room, it is very pretty with plenty of outdoor options. We loved the farm and the axe throwing. Lovely fire pit outside. I left my Apple watch by the pool and someone returned it to the front desk. Some of the turn downs were special with little items and sayings. That was a nice touch. People were friendly. The mixed: I emailed several times to book activities, and it was patchy as to whether I got a response. When I did, it never had the full information or didn't hear back on one thing, so had to go back many times. Also, was not told of several things they had available that I later heard about from my travel advisor after she visited. There is one restaurant and no specials, it got very old after a few days. It is also expensive and doesn't have enough options. Service was patchy, sometimes fast and sometimes it took forever and no one ever came to check back. Same with pool service. Sometimes there was service, sometimes not, Sometimes there was lounge pads, sometimes not. The plugs next to the bed only worked sometimes, They had to come twice to try to fix them, with different explanations on the issue. Our welcome after a 6 hour drive, was very rushed. We got a tea and our key and were told that the person was the only one there and had to deal with other things, so we did not get any orientation. We did have dinner waiting in our room which was amazing, but the next day nothing was removed, so housekeeping was also patchy, sometimes very clean, others things not cleared and bugs on the floor. To their credit, when I did a survey and said it was mixed. I heard from the manager who offered to speak and wanted to hear more. Unfortunately he was 15 minutes late for our call, apparently helping someone on site, and I was onto other things, and not going to chase them. That was was an example of missing the mark. Just quite mixed and not cheap. For an expensive 5 star I expected much more and we typically stay at the best resorts around the world including Auberge's.

We stayed at the Lodge at Blue Sky for my daughter's wedding weekend. This lodge is set in a gorgeous area of the mountains with a creek running through the canyon which creates the most amazing and relaxing sound. Every room has fantastic views of the surrounding hillsides. Sitting on the balcony with the firepit glowing and listening to the creek was a wonderful way to unwind at the end of the day. In the fall, wildflowers were still blooming, the leaves were beginning to change, and the sunsets were spectacular with the famed "golden glow" on the hills. Each room is perfectly appointed with everything you could desire. The staff put customer service and satisfaction front and center. Traveling and holding an event during the pandemic was a bit stressful, but the lodge's policies were reassuring and made us much more comfortable. Thank you everyone!

We visited The Lodge at Blue Sky from 9/3-9/7, and couldn't have asked for a more genuinely welcoming, caring, friendly and accommodating staff - special thanks to Jackie and Adrian for making us both feel so special throughout our stay. We will not only plan a return trip(s), but also bring our friends with us as well. Pre-Arrival: Collette, my reservation agent is one of the best I've interacted with. She patiently answered all my questions, took the time to understand our likes/dislikes and recommended to us the Sky Suite which was very much on point with what we look for in a room. Even though there was a system glitch where I got sent a payment notification from another Auberge property, Collette took care of it right away. Check in: The hotel lobby was impressive - high ceilings, glass all around, inviting furniture, amazing mountain views, we were welcomed with chamomile tea, greeted by Joe the GM, presented with a printed copy of our planned activities. Suitcases seamlessly delivered to our room. Even though there were a number of activities listed in our print out we didn't sign up for, Adrian took care of it promptly. Activities: We took yoga classes from Molly and Carrie, both amazing yoga instructors - precise in instruction and intuitive in pacing the class. Chris, our forest bathing hiking guide was great as well, his calm style allowed us to slow down to actually take the time to observe and enjoy our surrounding. Room: Our room (Sky Suite)was suited on the highest floor on the main building and had quite the expansive view. Amenities were great - natural bath products, a well stocked with healthy snacks, drinks, and a personalized welcome letter and bottle of wine. What we didn't realize was the property allows pets, even in the main building, and we were unfortunately put in a room that was between 2 dog owners on each side. Their dogs howled so loudly for at least 15 minutes at one in the morning we were so badly awoken, thinking there was a murder next door. We brought this up to both Jackie the next morning. She went above and beyond and immediately made arrangements for us to move to the Earth Suite, no questions asked. Dining: Overall food at the restaurant was nothing short of innovative and tasty. We had one of the most unique experience dining inside a yurt on top of the mountain - thanks to Hannah for working with me to put the menu together, to Brian, Corey and Chef Bishan for the amazing meal and hospitality.

My wife and I stayed at the Lodge for our babymoon and had a wonderful time! The property is stunning and peaceful. There is plenty to do there from hiking to painting the landscape. The staff was also extremely friendly and accommodating. The food is amazing but also limited since there is only one restaurant onsite and the menu doesn’t change regularly. Although we had a wonderful time there, I think the Lodge is going through some growing pains since it is so new. There were some communication issues during our stay, and we had a few activities scheduled for the wrong day or didn’t meet our expectations. The lodge more than made up for these mistakes but it did have a minor negative impact on our stay. Overall, our stay was still fantastic, and we will definitely be coming back. I think if the Lodge can work through some of these growing pains that this will easily be a five-star review in the future. Tip: I would highly recommend taking advantage of the free activities. My wife and I did yoga almost every day which we really enjoyed, and each class was different. We also loved the free s'mores which were probably the best s'mores I've ever had because all the ingredients were homemade.
