I last reviewed Minor Bay Lodge back in 2012. I had just returned from a spectacular fishing trip to the lodge. I have just returned from yet another trip there. My review from back in 2012 still stands. If you want to catch BIG Pike, Walleyes and Lake Trout, this should be your destination. Service, food and accommodations are still...

Just returned from my third trip in ten years. (Surprised to see one of my catches on this site from 2012!) All have been outstanding and memorable experiences. The fish are plentiful and the guides are entertaining and knowledgeable. As technology becomes ever more intrusive and habit-forming, it's great to take a break from that leash. Though life seems much...

The trips to Minor Bay become better and better. That is amazing since it started out by simply being great. This year we caught enormous fish and shared wonderful accommodations. My son-in-laws, brother, our grandchildren and some friends had collectively an extraordinary time. The guides are excellent. They know where the fish are and know how to fish for them....

I made my third trip to Minor Bay in early June and again Randy and his staff did not disappoint. The camp is very well appointed and the staff always very friendly and helpful. Now the real reason to travel to Minor Bay, the fishing. This property is on one of the greatest Northern Pike fishing lakes in North America....

The fishing here for huge northern pike (my personal best is 49.5 inches) here is the greatest I have ever experienced. Especially on a fly rod, which I use 99% of the time, but fun on casting gear as well. Accommodations, boats, guides, and food are also very good. I will continue to go to Minor Bay every June as...

Thank you for your comments regarding your guide. The two guides you are referring to in your review are no longer with us. They have been replaced with experienced, highly recommended guides and going into the 2013 season we have a very professional guide corps (with no weak links) that do their utmost to provide our guests with an exceptional...

I'm just back from my annual trek to this exceptional fishing lodge way up north in Canada. I've been coming here for 15 years and have never been disappointed. The fishing is outstanding. Trophy Northern Pike (over 36") are a staple at Minor Bay. You also can catch jumbo Lake Trout and walleyes. Shore lunches are incredible so bring pants...

The wilderness is pristine and the experience is unequalled. C'mon Canadian fishermen...don't leave all this fantastic fishing to our American friends. The secret is out! Get to Minor Bay.
