Exuding rustic charm, character and stylish simplicity, the unique agro eco-luxury resort Jetwing Kaduruketha is the latest link in Jetwing's hospitality chain. Located in the peaceful village surroundings of Wellawaya, it is perfect for that idyllic holiday you've always dreamed of. Just four hours away from Colombo, the hotel is set amidst paddy farmland and natural forest, and has been designed to nestle itself as unobtrusively as possible into the rural landscape. Twenty five dwellings are spaced out over an expanse of 60 acres, with each dwelling surrounded by forest and paddy fields to maintain secluded privacy. A major portion of the land has been given over to the cultivation and harvesting of paddy, giving guests the opportunity to experience the culture and daily life of a traditional farming community.

We travelled from Ireland and stayed with our two children (6 & 11yrs) in January of this year. The hotel is just incredible in many ways: - the setting is just magic, paddy fields with mountains in the background - beautiful rooms, swimming pool, and restaurant - Great food -

On arrival you could see that this place was special. The winding path to our bungalow raised expectations and we weren't disappointed. The room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom and a decking looking over the ricepaddies. Mr Faisal made sure we were well fed at the

We stayed here for 2 nights and wow! It’s a beautiful hotel surrounded by amazing view across paddy fields. The wildlife is abundant. The rooms are individual chalets and don’t have air conditioning but do have a fan. Even though it was hot when we stayed it was a nice

We stayed at Jetwing as a family and facilities offered are not on par with a normal 5 star stay. The architecture of the rooms doesn’t cater for weather conditions at all. It was a rainy day and our bathroom was flooded. It was a massive health and safety hazard as anyone

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience on TripAdvisor following your stay with us. We greatly appreciate you bringing these issues up to our attention as guest feedback is highly valued at Jetwing hotels. It is truly disheartening to read that your stay with us was not in par with your expectations and we sincerely apologize for all the inconveniences caused. The layout and design of the guest rooms are inspired by the architecture of traditional village homes in Sri Lanka, with modern equipment to make the guests' stay comfortable. We have both indoor and outdoor bathrooms and we do understand your concerns with regards to the flooding of the outdoor bathroom during the rain. However, please do know that our butlers are always on standby to clean and makeup your rooms at any given time. However, we are glad that you liked the food and appreciated the attentive services of our staff. Once again, please do accept our most sincere apologies and we do hope that you will visit us again despite your less than perfect stay. Ayubowan! (May you live long) Naminda Rathnayake General Manager

It’s not beach area, but island interior. It’s... in the middle of nowhere:) there is nothing around apart of forest, so if you look for something in the city, choice different one

In the room I have stayed there was a 3rd bed, which we requested them to remove. With that bed in the room was not really cramped. There was a big sofa in the room so you can request them to remove the sofa and add another bed. Rooms are designed for 2 and maximum of 4 but if the hotel allow you can stay. Better not complaint for lack of space if you ask them to have 2 more beds

Udawalawe is possible. If travelling to Kaduruketha from Colombo, you will be backtracking to Udawalawe. Another possibility is doing the park on your way from Colombo to Wellawaya where the hotel is located. Both possibilities need an early start.-ideally by 5 am you should be on the road!

Yes you can arrange it as a day trip as udawalawa is located 90km away. Are you planning for full day safari or half a day safari? There are lots of safari operators in the area you can find them via web or through the hotel. Are you planning to stay 3 days at Kaduruketha? Then yala park safari visit may also be a good idea. Sorry that I couldn’t respond earlier.
