Casa Verde Hotel features 19 beautiful guest rooms, most with semi-private balconies with views of the crystal blue ocean, our refreshing salt water pool, or the tropical gardens of the Caribbean. Our rooms are decorated in a minimalistic European style designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. We offer luxury and many amenities, but at a price for the budget-minded traveler. We have two seasonal restaurants and bars and are within walking distance from gorgeous Sandy Beach and many other shops, bars, and restaurants. Naming many of our rooms after different local surf breaks we feel shows our love of the ocean, Puerto Rico, its locals and all the splendors it has to offer. Whether you are coming to surf or just unwind, we have something for everyone. Come and experience the splendor of Rincon and all that Casa Verde Hotel has to offer.

Detailed Reviews
My wife and I stayed for 9 nights this January at the Casa Verde Hotel. Truly great location just seconds from the ocean. Convenient to a few local restaurants and bars in the Sandy beach area. Convenience store/gift shop right across the street as well as the Big Kahuna Burger Bar. The hotel also has its own bar and restaurant, both of which are excellent! The staff made us feel comfortable, relaxed and worry free the entire time we were there. We stayed in a Superior King room which was very clean and plenty of room
Be prepared to hear loud music (bands or djs) late night from 10 pm to 2 a.m. on some nights at the Burger Bar does have entertainment. Our room was facing the backside of the hotel parking lot but we could hear the music as if it were right outside our room, so just an FYI to be prepared for that. I don't think there are any rooms at this relatively small hotel where you can escape the sound of the music, so if you're looking for a quiet place 24-7, this may not be the place for you. Lastly, not so much a complaint as a critique: the timing of the cleaning staff varied from mid morning to late afternoon. Most, if not all places we've stayed, the cleaning staff is in and out between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. We had staff show up at 4 p.m. one day and 5:30 p.m. another day. It may have been due to unknown circumstances, but just making note of it. All in all, we highly recommend the Casa Verde hotel. It was a very enjoyable stay!

To be honest, it was a disappointment.
Let’s start with the positive:
1. Great location. You can walk to some beaches, lunch spots, restaurants, etc.
Now for the negatives, and I truly don’t enjoy leaving a negative review:
1. The level of noise from music and chatting from surrounding areas was unbearable. I went to sleep around 9:30 on a Saturday to have a full Sunday and I didn’t fall asleep until 12:30 due to music and noise.
2. I thought Rincon was a charming colorful, surf town? The room is virtually sterile white like a hospital. No furniture, art, etc.
3. The thinnest bath towels I’ve ever encountered. Like bath towels disguised as paper towels.
4. The fan in the bathroom, which comes on automatically when you flip the light switch in the bathroom? Loud beyond belief. Yet, I left it running to help drown out the noise on the loud night and it didn’t help.
5. Maid service? I didn’t know if there was daily service due to COVID-19 but I guess there was? I came back to a few missing towels but my bed was unmade and the curtains I had left closed were now drawn. I was trying to avoid other guests having the ability to peer into my room.
6. The rooms face outward, exposing you to the elements, wasn’t really expecting that…maybe I missed something?
7. The shower did not get warm until the 3rd shower. It was freezing otherwise.
Aside from my disappointment, I’m more just dumbfounded. This place had a ton of positive reviews and was even featured on the Discover Puerto Rico website. Perhaps it’s pay to play? To met it missed a ton of the lodging basics, which was again disappointing.
Regardless, Casa Verde, what a letdown. I hope other guests’ experience are much improved.

I have never written a bad review but When i called to book my room i asked for a quiet room ,they suggested the pools room . Was that a joke ?
it seems to be the closest to the kahuna bar , thanks for that .
tonight i am lying directly opposite from the live music.
I have a 4 am wake up to drive back to San Juan .
There is no coffee in the room, when i asked for a coffee machine , they said they have a machine but no coffee for it .
There was no water in the fridge when i got in late sat night .
The room is sterile , the fan in the bathroom is incredibly loud , feels like a below average motel.
i do not understand why this place has good reviews ,
There seems to be a noise problem from all their latest reviews

We were unable to reach reception despite attempted calls at different times.
Upon our late arrival, there was no one in the reception despite being told that someone would be there until 10 or 11pm and a note was left in the reception’s closed door directing us to go to the Kahuna bar to meet with the bouncer for access into our room. In summary, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, the room’s floor was dirty, the music from Kahuna bar played loud all night, there was no hot water despite a sign in the room that said to run it for 10 minutes, the hotel's bar was closed and the hotel staff was cold and indifferent to our concerns. Upon checking out, the reception staff member “Alex” did not even acknowledge or said goodbye. I must conclude with this warning: Be careful using the Waze app in Puerto Rico as often times it provides inaccurate directions. In attempting to find the hotel, we almost got stuck on a dark narrow gravel road with deep holes atop of a steep hill.

I recently spent almost two weeks traveling around Puerto Rico with two friends. Not only was Rincon my favorite of our destinations, but Casa Verde was my favorite of our five hotels. We arrived late in the evening to find that the hotel had been remodeled since we made our reservation, and the room we had booked in the guesthouse with a queen and single bed now only has one queen bed. Billy cheerfully accommodated us by letting us choose which of the available rooms we would like to stay in. We ended up with a serious upgrade and stayed in Maria's, a large room in the hotel portion of the property with its own patio and ocean view. This set the mood for our stay in Rincon, which could not have been better. The staff at Casa Verde is great, and the hotel and local beaches are beautiful. The hotel has a pool area and several lounging areas in addition to the bar/restaurant, where we spent a good deal of time. Apparently noise used to be an issue, but this was not a problem for us. Since the renovations, the hotel bar closes at 10 and the bar/restaurant next door closes at midnight. If you want to stay out later, there are a few other places within walking or short driving distances. We really did not want to leave Casa Verde! I have already recommended it to one friend who will be traveling to PR, and I am hoping to make it back myself in the future!!

I watched the episode of HOTEL IMPOSSIBLE that Casa verde was on before we went
They hotel itself was great and the staff is excellent.
The big problem is the Kahuna burger bar cranks up the music at 10 and goes until 2. AM. The music pulsates throughout the hotel. Making it IMPOSSIBLE TO SLLEP.
Ironically this was on of the biggest things the show said. Guests book a hotel because they want to sleep!
So we will not be staying here again unless they do something about the music

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. It had fairly good rating from Booking.com and TripAdvisor & is 1 block from the beach. I originally booked through booking.com. I then read reviews recently from Booking.com that if your room is in the building where Kahuna Bar is, then you will hear the loud music all night through 2 am.
I called Casa Verde hotel reservation directly and the agent confirmed that this is true with my current reservation since it was in the building where the bar is. I asked if the hotel had a room in a quiet location. The agent said that they had partial oceanview room in the building across the street but it cost more ($45 per night more). I went ahead and booked a new reservation.
We were on the 2nd floor facing the ocean and the room was spacious. It had a refrigerator. The problem began on Friday night when the VERY LOUD music started at the Kahuna bar. It happened every night and we left on Monday. We are not exaggerating that it was hard to sleep and time the music and bar noise!!! Luckily, we had our Bose noise cancelling earphones which helped somewhat and slept with them throughout the night. Needless to say, we are not happy that we paid more for a room that was supposed to be quieter and had to wear our earphones which were not comfortable.
We definitely will not stay in this hotel again. It is too bad since the location was good and the staff especially in the Sandy Beach Cafe were very nice.

If you're here to party all night every night and don't need much sleep, then this is for you. If you're in Rincon to relax, and not to listen to drunk yelling all night, dont't stay here. I bet this is why they make their guests pay the whole amount upon arrival. The room was nice and clean. The guy who ownes the place was very service minded. We were 4 friends who stayed for 5 nights and we were desperate for sleep. It would not matter wich room we got, the noise of the hotel bar (live cover band) and drunk crowd was all over.
If they had been honest about the party factor on the website, they would get the customers who are happy about this, and not have to deal with bad reviews. Hope this saves someone's vacation.

Audke, Thanks for taking the time to write your review. Although we try very hard to convey how March is in Rincon and at Casa Verde, it is difficult to get the word out to everyone. I have looked into making the necessary changes to our webpage to reflect your points being made. This review should also help...and I thank you. It is no secret that Rincon has become a very popular spring break destination for many colleges. March, in particular can be frustrating if you are not in "the party mood"...no matter where you are staying. We are very fortunate to have two of the most popular restaurants and bars in Rincon and I am sorry this message was not conveyed to you in a clear and concise manner. We will be making the necessary disclaimers on our new website in an effort to help our guests make a more informed and educated decision regarding Rincon and the month of March. Thanks again,

Hotels and restaurants are functioning. Roads are fine in San Juan-Aguadilla-Rincon region. There doesn't seem to be wifi anywhere. The elecrical grid goes off occasionally as they are still making repairs, but the hotels and restaurants all have generators so there is always power. Cell phone reception is fine. Bottled water is plentiful. The beaches are gorgeous and the waves are super! We did have some trouble keeping our devices charged. While there is power, it doesn't seem to be full throttle because sometimes we couldn't charge our phones. Solution: bring a couple of charged portable batteries with you. PR needs its tourism industry back, so get down there and have fun!
Hi-
The Kahuna Burger Bar is there and serves beer and burgers and can get crowded and noisy in high season. However right now, Rincon is in a rebuilding phase. We are one of the few places open and serving great food to our local patrons. We hope you come by and support the area and stop by for a beer and the chance to meet the warm, happy people in Puerto Rico rebuilding this community!
