We've been visiting PR every year for 15 yrs and have been to Dos Angeles 4 times over the last 4 yrs. Great hosts and location on a hill overlooking the ocean on the north side of Rincon. The rooms are super nice and the owners Yolanda, John and their daughters are the best! We go mostly in Sept but this year we were there in late Jan and I saw first hand why the surfers love this area. But there were still beaches that are calm to swim in. You can get great real PR lunches at the food truck ($6.00) right across from the old Econo or pinchos ($2.00) sold by locals to some great dinners at Tamboo on Sandy beach. There's massive burgers at the Big Kahuna on Sandy beach also. Puerto Ricans have been through a lot these last few yrs and we love going there to help any way we can, one way is just going there.…
Had wonderful stay with John and Yolanda. They were extremely informative and gracious hosts. Will absolutely stay here again. Here is some feedback on the room, location, breakfast, and Rincon. The room: Simple but nicely decorated and with a balcony that has a view of the sea. Some rooms have amazing views, so clarify with the hosts ahead of time if that is important to you. The location: About seven minutes' walk up a steep hill from the beach and several excellent restaurants. Everything we read said you need a car to visit Rincon and that is probably true for most travelers; however, Dos Angeles was close enough to surfing, the beach, and dining that we walked almost everywhere. We rented a car from San Juan, but next time we may take a quick flight from SJU to Mayaguez and take an Uber or cab on the rare occasion we might need it. Breakfast: Every morning we were greeted with fresh tropical fruit, good coffee, an assortment of cereals and oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, juice, and a special pastry or bagel. We enjoyed it at open-air tables in front of the pool, which is fringed with lush vegetation. It was a perfect start to our morning and enough to keep us fueled through lunch. Rincon: Special in that it has both northern and southern facing beaches. Depending on the weather, you can have excellent surfing and snorkeling conditions the same day, just a couple miles apart. Be careful, entry into the water can be rocky at many locations. The Rincon Art Walk takes place Thursday nights in the center of town (a 10 minute drive from Dos Angeles) and is jam-packed with local art of all kinds.…
A jewel at Rincón Puerto Rico. A cozy place to be with nature and beautiful Pepe. Yolanda is the best. Of curse, because of the boss, Mayra. Clean rooms, excelente breakfast, adorable ambience. Just the place we are looking for.
We have stayed at Dos Angeles Del Mar in Rincon many times over the last ten years. It is definitely our go to spot. The owners, Yolanda and John, are wonderful. They go out of their way to make their guests comfortable. Your wish is their command. The guest house is lovely, the grounds are lush, and the pool area is inviting. Every morning there is an excellent continental breakfast. There is a wide variety of offerings served on a comfortable patio. One thing which stands out is how clean the property is. They maintain both the rooms and the grounds beautifully. It is in a nice safe area close to the more popular beaches in Rincon Staying here would be a good choice . You will be very satisfied to have stayed in such a warm, well run guest house. We certainly have enjoyed all our stays here.…
Met the very charming & gracious Yolanda upon our arrival to her lovely, small guest house in Rincon. Very peaceful with a Lovely view of the ocean from our balcony. Nice pool and setting. Comfortable bed & room, Definitely recommend. We're staying for 4 days. Just down the road the Casa Verda offers a very good dinner. You will Enjoy!
Once again I am so grateful to my friends and hosts John and Yolanda! Returning to Dos Angeles is like a homecoming and vacation all in one. Caring hosts, immaculate property and close to everything you’d like to experience in Rincon....but also tranquil and quiet. I look forward to my next trip. Thank you John/Yolanda. Jerry
Went to Dos Angeles for a quick weekend visit. The owner was amazing. She made my visit pleasant, welcoming and very enjoyable despite the fact they are still trying to recover from Hurricane Maria. The accommodations were impeccably clean, spacious and beautiful. The food was great but most importantly, they made us feel like family. We will definitely come back to enjoy and also to support the hard working people of Puerto Rico.
I stayed over night; will be back for a week. The guesthouse is superbly located to beach’s, beach bars and town. The host is amazing. Hearing about the recovery efforts was nothing short of inspirational.
I can't say enough wonderful things about this place!!!! John, the owner, is the nicest gentleman and was extremely helpful & accommodating during my 2 night stay (I had actually only planned to stay one night but fell in love with the tranquility & beauty of the property that I extended my stay). John sat down with me when I arrived & showed me all the best places to eat & drew me a map to get to town. The first morning, he prepared breakfast for me earlier than normal because he knew I had to leave early for a tour. My last day, he texted me suggestions of things to do in the next town I was headed to. My room was clean, comfortable, & fully stocked with all I needed. The property itself is gorgeous with a lovely pool & lush plants all around. The sound of the tree frogs croaking their music at night was amazing! I had a hard time checking out on my last day & ended up lounging by the pool for half a day until I forced myself to move on. This place doesn't disappoint!!!!…
My husband and I just returned from a three-night stay at this wonderful B&B. The house is on the top of the hill, just a quick walk from the beach. I was very, very happy to be staying at the top of the hill on the nights the beach restaurants/hotels played loud music. The B&B is quiet and calming. I loved going to sleep to the coquis and waking up to the roosters! John was very helpful in getting us situated and acquainted with the area. A healthy and delicious breakfast was available every morning. The pool was perfect to relax in after long days on the beach. The hotel is just a short drive (3-5 minutes) from other beaches and downtown Rincon. Overall, a fantastic stay!
