Known for views and fun restaurant. These were well warranted and worth checking out. However staying here was a bit challenging due to thin walls and dated rooms. When we stayed, there was a party that went later than promised quiet time, and the power/internet kept failing. When we complained, the staff said "oh you must have never stayed here before haha." So if you want a lively scene, come here. If you want a quiet relaxing stay, go elsewhere.
I wanted to thank you for our wonderful stay. We had an amazing time; the measurements you guys are taking in regard to COVID is superb. We felt safe!!!! I want to thank a couple of employees that went above and beyond and they were (Wilfred, Jeremias, Jose and Dana). The whole staff was wonderful, we did most of our meals there and all of the service was great. The breakfast overlooking the beach priceless, the coconut drinks are amazing, the food for dinner delicious with even better service. We are already planning our next trip in March. Thank you,
On a 2 week trip, with 5 hotels - this was in our top 2...and was the most cost effective. they did a great job at making you feel health/safe (arrival - they only allow 1 person to check in family, then temperature screening). Property and rooms were very clean and well managed. The view is great, can swim right off the back of hotel, watch sunsets at the hotel bar. Can't say enough that this is a great property in Rincon for a basecamp - and if you get out San Juan - make this a stop.
We had a great time on our five day holiday at Hotel Villa Cofresi. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay confortable and quickly respond to any needs that my group had. Areas are clean and sanitize all the time, and only for guest at the hotel. The restaurant offered many delicious dishes to enjoy. Highly recommended ❤️❤️❤️
Villa Confresi is what it presents itself - an excellent hotel on the beach just outside the main downtown of Rincon. It has a restaurant on site, as well as a 'beach bar'. The staff during booking was very responsive and accommodating. Booking was easy, and the room we got was what I had booked. Arrival; if you have not been to the area, you may be thrown off when you get to the turn off into the hotel area, as the big sign at the top of the road is not the actual hotel - you have to drive down to the end of the road. there is a guard gate. On check-in, the guard asked for our Covid vaccine cards before they let us in. (a positive). Also, prior to entering the hotel lobby, the entry guard sprayed our luggage and hands with sanitizer. Front desk was quick, they explained everything and all a good experience. Hotel; it was actually bigger than I imagined.. I thought maybe just 20 rooms, but it was much bigger seeming (not sure of the actual room count, but couple be upward of 50-100 rooms. It did not seem 'crowded' though. We arrived on a Sunday night, and the bar area was very active, with a DJ. Boats had pulled up along the beach and we also playing music, adding to the festive atmosphere. The hotel definitely seemed very much family groups, with small kids as well as teens, with some sets of couples without family in tow. Because of that, the pool was usually filled with family groups. But, the beach is right there, and that is where we spent much of our time. There is a patio area that is apart from the main bar/pool area that is more quiet, so if you want to get away, that is a good place to lazy away your day reading and getting drinks and food from the bar. They could do with more umbrellas, however. And some groups took the lounge chairs off the patio and down to the beach. The beach is public, but during Covid protocol, only guests are allowed into the hotel property (every guest gets a wristband). Bar/restaurant; The bar staff is fantastic. Really. They're great - friendly, attentive, and seem to get to know every guest. The mojitos are fantastic! Food is good - burritos and quesadillas are good. For dinner, the steak is the way to go - and what they are known for. The other dinner items are OK, but don't impress terribly. But they aren't bad. You can eat indoors at the restaurant, but the menu is served at the bar tables as well outside. Location; it worked out as a location, but we had a car. To get to downtown, you likely don't want to walk there. But, also, finding parking around downtown is fairly difficult. The beach is not a surfing beach (at least in the off season in July.. can't speak for the true surfing winter months). There is also a convenience store at the top of the road if you want to get any essentials, waters, or case of beer, etc. for your room. Overall - a great medium sized hotel (it is a bigger hotel for the Rincon area, but not a huge 'resort' so has a homey feel). More upscale feeling, but not overly so (in a positive way). You could likely just stay on property your whole time and be happy, but also functions well as a home base if you're going out exploring. Some food is average, but if you pick the right things, the food can be excellent. Staff was always great, and the atmosphere was festive without feeling like you were in some huge crazy party. And there are areas of the hotel that you can 'get away' and find some nice seclusion if you want.…
