So this is my third time at the Lazy Parrot. Each time I came here, the service has been amazing. It’s literally a small resort. Anyone who wrote a bad review about this place is probably click bait. We met Edgar who manages the bar restaurant downstairs. They are planning to expand upon the cuisine and overall restaurant experience since the ownership has changed. Edgar provided us with outstanding service. This is a definitely a must go place.

The title says it. Read any of my other reviews about this place. I love it. Highly recommended. Jahby & Samuel, Tania as well as the rest of the staff make this place extra special. Always my #1 choice

After reading other reviews where the hotel responAfter reading other reviews where the hotel responds to, I'll make sure that I stick to the facts. We recently stayed here and upon arrival we noticed that the place seemed empty. No big deal. We arrived right at 4pm and were greeted by the front desk rep who was leaving for the day. She handed us our keys and said that she upgraded us to a pool side room for our anniversary. Funny thing is, we paid for a poolside room when we made our reservation, so this was not what I would consider an upgrade. If you look at their website there is no information talking about an "Off Season". Before we arrived in September, I asked when I made my reservation in June for a menu from the restaurant to have an idea as to what to expect upon arrival. At that point the reservation rep should have told us that the restaurant and bar would be closed during our stay. Upon arrival is when we were told that it was the off season and everything was closed. It would have been nice to know this as there are several other hotels in the area that have full service dining. Lastly, we received a call from the hotel the night before we were to check out (the day before Hurricane Fiona made landfall) to make sure we were checking out on time. They didn't ask if we needed anything, just want to know if we were checking out. I get it, it’s a hurricane but hotels have a duty to take care of their guests. Be upfront with your guests.

The loby is leaking from the roof. The room TV did not work. The restaurant And bar were closed and we were not informed in advance. When we arrived on Friday we tried getting in hold with the night manager and she called back Saturday at 12pm

My son and I are surfers and Rincon is a world class surfing mecca. Back in 2010, we were planning a surfing vacation and my wife booked a room for us (my son and me) at the Lazy Parrot Inn. Excellent choice!! On our first visit, we stayed in the "original section" of the Inn and it was great. The following year we stayed in the newer section and again, that was nice too. Year three, we elected to stay in the "original section" again but chose a room on the second floor with a big deck next to our room. That worked out for us because we could leave our boards on the spacious deck. The years after that, we elected to stay in the same room. Our "surfing home away from home". My wife never joined us on these trips. It was a Dad and Son vacation. We surfed. We ate. We slept. We chilled. Ditto all week! Our son is now married and although we still get together for lots of other good things, Rincon is o the back burner for the moment. This year, my wife wanted to tour Puerto Rico and visit Rincon and the Lazy Parrot. This would be her first time visiting the island. We spent a few days around San Juan and then headed to Rincon and the Lazy Parrot. One of the nicest memories of the L P was meeting Jahby and Sam. Jahby was the office manager when we first visited the L P and Sam, her husband ,was in charge of maintenance. To our delight, Jahby and Sam are still there!! What a sweet surprise. Jahby recognized my name when I made the reservation and made it a point to book us in the same room where my son and I stayed for all those years. It was so very special to share those sweet memories with my wife. Although we didn't go surfing, we certainly enjoyed that beautiful deck that evening under the stars, listening to the music of the Coqui frogs. It was perfect! The following morning we were able to spend time with Jahby and Sam and catch up on "life". It was great. One other note, the new owners have really done an amazing job with the L P. It was always a special Inn but now it is really pretty. Well done! We plan to return to Rincon and the L P as a "foursome". Mom, Dad. Son and Daughter-in-law........with surfboards in tow! Thank you again, Jahby and Sam. You are the best!

Just returned home from our second stay here and it has solidified itself as the best and only place we'd ever stay in Rincon! It's actually really nice to be up off of the beach strip, the grounds are tranquil and beautiful plus you can see the ocean and sunset while perched peacefully above it all. The staff are all so sweet and caring, the bar/restaurant has the best vibes you could ask for. Plays the best music, serves up delicious drinks and very tasty food and coffee. Seriously can't say enough about how cool the bar and hotel staff is! The pool is gorgeous and great for everyone including kids (we have a 6 year old). The rooms are very cozy, comfy bed, great shower-I recommend a poolside terrace room if available. Car is a must for beach hopping, hotel has parking. We always arrive late night and they are very accommodating about key pick up. We miss it already and cant wait to go back.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Lazy Parrot. We hear they are under new ownership and are making some very nice improvements. The pool area is very nice the rooms with balconies have good views and a great place to relax. The food at the restaurant was good as well as the staff. The only negative is that it is located a bit out of town and away from the beach. Also, when checking in you are presented with a very long list of rules and fines if they are violated, not so relaxing.

This is the most charming little place to stay. The rooms are all new with great balconies. The pool and common areas are super comfortable. We found some cool places to walk to, though driving may be easier. Had a great time, will be back!

I was looking for a calm place to relax and I found it! The room I was assigned was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The room had great amenities. There was a fridge and a microwave. I arrived after hours and had not yet received the email instructions to check in. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and tried to help me with figuring out check in. Once my email downloaded, I realized that it was quite easy to get my keys. I formally checked in the next day and the process was easy. The place has a restaurant called QueViva. The bartender, Frances, and her son were very nice. She made very good drinks. The artisanal pizza was very flavorful and the crust was perfectly crispy. The pool is not very deep but it was great to have it as an option. The hotel provides beach towels for use. There was some construction going on but it didn't affect me much as I was more interested in spending time at the beach and I was outdoors fairly early. Further, I don't think construction is a regular thing and thus don't think I should judge the place based on this. The staff were apologetic about the construction and were very nice.
