Detailed Reviews
It is a nice place to spend a couple of days, offering a really special atmosphere, I recommend it to everyone. We have stayed there several times, the only thing I would complain about is lunch, there is a small variety and the quality also needs improvement. Everything else - accommodation, facilities, programs - make it be worth staying. The moroccan bath is gorgeous, unfortunately is not adult only any more.

The castle is in a huge park, where you can walk among the flowers, bushes, trees. Different types of clean accommodation, spacious rooms, excellent dishes, sports facilities, exciting programmes: Zina - whore course, historical village, open-air theatre with horses. Nice and helpful staff. I recommend it to anyone!!!

We have now been to the Castle Hotel 11 times. Every year our hearts draw us back, we love it so much. Last year was left out, due to the arrival of our baby, who visited us for the first time in Bikal. The environment is beautiful, constantly expanding and changing every year. It can be seen that they are trying to stand their ground in all areas and to innovate where necessary. The wellness departments are very special, it's really relaxing to be there. Very nice staff and it's a good feeling when we see familiar faces even after 11 years ❤️

The programs are excellent, the spas offer pampering relaxation! The place offers a wonderful, real medieval experience! The jousting is amazing, it's like it's real, maybe it is ;) It provides an unforgettable experience for both young and old! The staff is helpful and nice, we will definitely come back here!

ONLY FOR FAMILIES WITH LITTLE KIDS
The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere so if you want to be entertained there aren't too many options outside the estate - which is surprisingly large and growing. The whole thing is some kind of a theme park dedicated to the medieval period. The design of the rooms and the interior of the public areas are trying to reflect the medieval/renaissance sytle. Except everything is fake here everything is staged, you sleep eat and spend your days in a painted theater scene. This is not neccessary bad, but not everyone likes it. And the worst part is the historical inaccuracy and the complete lack of any kind of sense of taste. I don't know if an interior designer was involved in the creation of this complex. You can't imagine how unstylish and low-quality are the decorations.
The theme park is a medieval village with a few houses high brick walls and an arena for jousts. In the village you can buy handicraft items and the kids can try to make their owns. This is the best part of the whole experience. Except the workshops are not allways open. If you are unlucky (and about 4 days of a week you are) the workshops are closed and you can't do enything else here than walking or chasing the geese in the yard area of the willage. It is going to be very boring on the second day :)
They keep jousts - but not every day. This attraction is good. Clearly and very visibly fake but kids can enjoy it. Well, it was a bit strange when a medieval-dressed courtesan (at least she was dressed... mostly) invited the audience for her 'special' lessons - with a little effort we managed to explain (or miss-explain) our little boy what that woman is talking about.
The spa area is poor - the family part of the spa at least. It is crowded and skimpy. The adults only part is not that bad but we couldn't enjoy it as a family. There were many problems with the spa I don't even try to enumerate them.
The food. For a four stars hotel it is ok but not good. Most of the offerings were edible some of them were fine. None of them were creative or interesing. It was like a huuuuge but still crowded countryside restaurant decorated with extremly bad taste by a scene designer.
Overall I got the impression that this hotel looks very ugly and only suitable for families with small kids and just for a couple of days, mostly during those days when the workshops are open - call and ask them before you book! Unfortunatley the hotel management tries to make this hotel desirable for as many kind of uses as they can. They are tring to make it a family hotel and a business conference hotel and an impish love hotel for couples at the same time. The result is a very strange hotel I never want to return.

Imagine a big park in the center of a village. How you can use it ? This is, maybe, the story of this hotel.
They used European money to transform this big domain in a relaxing place, with few buildings decorated in different styles, with a little Moroccan & French spa with thermal water, a giant restaurant, organised tournaments with young knights and beautiful horses, and they also created a medieval style town and a village with few workshops and a small zoo. I really enjoyed the time spent there, to see few deers and domestic animals in a very paceful environment. What about your kids? They maybe will love to see them, and the knights, and horses, and the ladies, and to play in the thermal water also.
Let's be sincere, how many villages you have seen in your country have such nice spas ?
About the staff, we have to keep in mind that the people from the village are working in this place.
We went twice in this resort. Maybe it is not perfect, but we enjoyed the "standard" room with a big baldachin bed and the romantic atmosphere in the evening, in the Moroccan spa. Don't use this place, if you do not want to enjoy your time.
We will be back :)

We stayed in the Hotel as a couple in a Guest House. The first impression at the reception was excellent. The lady (Renata) was really helpful and friendly with excellent customer service. BUT when we entered in our room all the positve feelings changed to negative. Dust everywhere for example: picture frames, glasses on the table, on the carpet in every corner, top of the BLACK fridge, and some dead mosquitos and other bugs in the wardrobe. Hairs in the bathroom. If anyone would like to try one of those ice creams in WATER glasses just forget it because they use probably the cheapest, tasteless ice cream and they charge too much for it. Same applies to the most expensive coffee (Irish). It was served in a cheap ugly glass which made the four different layers of the coffee not visible. Otherwise the breakfast and the dinner was very delicious with many variations. The pools are very enjoyable with nice design and with separated kids pool area. We would expect every single worker at a place like this wearing at least a shirt with the same company logo on, full uniform is not necessary. Don`t be surprised when they charge you for parking at the checkout, it is not expensive for a day but there is the possibility they forget to mention it at the check in.
Overall the place looks nice with big green area and friendly polite staff. Excellent food. Cleanliness is very important and needs to be improved at this highly overrated place. If they improve these things the accomodations/stay will worth the price. At this stage the value/price ratio very bad and we would not go back.

Üdv,
