Stayed overnight on our way to North Devon. Our room was clean and recently decorated with a horsey theme that reflected the area, Wincanton race course and Paul Nichols stables are both nearby. The room we stayed in would be a little small if you were planning on staying longer but sufficient for us. Good food and service in the...

Stayed overnight before the racing at Wincanton. The rooms were spotless and we were given a lovely welcome by all the staff. A regular haunt by the locals we really felt part of the crowd. The food was excellent and the wines extremely good value. Happily stay there again.

We booked this for Valentines Day and felt we had made a good choice. Instead of the normal fixed price menu for these occasions, there was a complimentary oyster and glass of prosecco followed by an interesting choice of 3 courses individually priced. We chose the sharing seafood board which included white crab meat, shell on prawns, a scrumptious smoked...

Called in for lunch while cycling past. Friendly reception, good beer and good choice of lunch menu. Food was obviously freshly cooked and very good value. Worth visiting again and I shall certainly do so.

We came to the Manor for lunch yesterday. The food was delicious, well presented and plenty of it. There was a varied choice of pub classics and more adventurous fayre. The service was friendly and prompt. I would highly recommend this delightful pub.

stayed for two days with a friend and was delighted to have chosen to stay here- staff very welcoming and the inn manages to combine the comfort of a 'local' village pub with a very very good restaurant section....rooms are excellent and very well maintained...an ideal getaway or base for a stay in somerset...no hesitation in strongly recommending the Manor...

Little break for some Christmas atmosphere. Lovely room, nicely decorated, seemed narrow though spacious but then the shower room adjacent is almost the size of the bedroom. Great shower, all beautifully tiled. Towel rail wasnt working but Im sure that will be resolved. The room itself was very warm and the temperature controls work well. Nice linens and fluffy towels....

Found Manor House at short notice. Great welcome, fab food and some great choices. Lovely relaxing bar great sleep warm and comfortable. Freshly cooked breakfast of choice, by preference I would have liked some fresh fruit instead of juice. What else can be said though a great place will be going back.

With my wife and two visiting friends went for lunch. The Manageress was attentive, subsequent service by another a bit on the slow side. Three of us had fish. Food luke warm and served on cold plates. The fourth, venison, was hot. Apart from the temperature the food was excellent and well presented. One had cheese and the platter was...

I must admit this was a disappointing review to read. However, upon investigation, it would appear that despite our best intentions we couldn't please these people. The lunch didn't get off to a good start for these visitors. They declared that they wanted to order from the Xmas Lunch Special Menu, despite being previously advised by phone and email (with...

I was working locally and wanted a quiet but friendly Inn/hotel. I was certainly impressed. The pub is inviting, relaxed and homely feeling. The food was excellent, the dishes were freshly prepared and used the finest ingredients. The steak was particularly good! I was only annoyed that I didn't save room for dessert. Ha! I stayed in an apartment/room in...
