Wow ... what an interesting place! Where to start... OK - some of the comments below if applied to pretty much any mainland UK hotel/guest house might be seen as negatives, but in this remote corner of Lewis they were most definitely positives! We arrived and were met by Louise who was very smiley and chatty. We were shown to... More

You feel like part of the family staying here. Louise, Pete and Siobhan are very friendly and helpful.had a nice room with a whirlpool bath and separate shower. Some may be a little uneasy as there is no lock on the door but we did not find it a problem. Really enjoyed the dinner on our 2 nights stay and... More

Staying at the Decca B and B was a wonderful experience. The hosts, Pete and Louise, are extremely welcoming, offering us tea and delicious gluten free home made cake on arrival, having clearly understood our dietary needs. Evening meals are an option and Louise is an outstanding cook - home made (gluten free option) bread and innovative puddings! The portions... More

Simple B and B with comfy beds. You come to the Decca for the food. Evening meals have to be booked but imagine home sized portions of the world's best comfort food. Breakfast with fresh homemade bread, a choice of cooked locally produced items, fruit cereal, juice ....... Don't expect boutique rooms rather imagine a stay with a family member... More

Enjoyed a comfortable stay here and appreciated the warm welcome given by the owners. The only thing was that I thought £45 per person per night was a bit on the high side when compared to other B and Bs on Lewis. However, I would recommend staying as the owners are very friendly.

Thanks for your comments and we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay. We do appreciate that we are not one of the cheaper B&B's in Lewis. We do, however, have an ethos that requires us to shop locally, make as much of our own produce as possible and pay our staff above the living wage. We serve sausages... More

We stayed at the Decca for one night in May 2016. It's wonderful! Peter and Louise are the most welcoming hosts you could wish for, their food is sublimely comforting and the setting is to die for. Standing in the garden on the morning of our departure, all I could hear were skylarks and lapwings. No traffic, no hubbub, just... More

We had one night here at the end of our Hebridean road trip. This is a small family run B and B, with home cooked food on a set menu basis. The dinner was lovely and with extremely generous portions! There is an rspb reserve across the road, and the lovely Europie beach a short walk or drive away. We... More
