The rooms are nice, and the location is beautiful. However, service could improve a lot. Food is just O.K., and serving sizes are small. Although you can ask for seconds, they make you feel like it is not your right. Despite being in a place where fruit is great and abundant, they serve very little fruit. Day trips from the hotel are good, but there are some options that are not offered by this hotel (other hotels in the area do offer them).
If there’s one place I always look forward to going back to is Koralia. I love everything about it: The exuberance of its gardens; The fauna; The surrealistic wall art; The mosaics; The wellness staff; The charm of its lovely owner... There is magic in every corner.
This is probably the most lovely Hippie Chic eco Hotel in the Colombian Caribbean coast. Perfect location on an amazing beach front in Buritaca. Excellent service (although pandemic reduces considerably personnel) Delicious food, drinks and snacks available all day in the beach or at the bar. Live music during dinner, Dj sets at night. Me and my kids had a wonderful time
Be ready to disconnect and truly rest. This was our second visit and we were as satisfied as the first time. We particularly enjoyed the new variety of healthy meals. The quality and flavour of the ingredients were extraordinary. We especially recommend the short walk to Pozo Sagrado.
The nature surrounding Koralia is beautiful and the views on the beach even more so. In addition, there are wonderful activities to do in the area. The highlight of the property was the food. Chef Andres does an excellent job of merging farm-to-table and wholesome ingredients with a unique twist. The reason I give three stars is because I think ownership should have invested more in the physical materials for the villas. I was extremely uncomfortable for many reason. 1. No AC unit, 2. dirts and bugs all over the floor of the villa that would accumulate throughout the day, 3. no housekeeping service due to covid which is why it felt dirty (i should mention that for longer term stays they allow one day of cleaning service and it felt MUCH better when we had ours, 4. service was a bit lacking (for example, i asked for new towels in the morning and they were not delivered until the end of the day, the staff didnt deliver umbrellas to the guests on the day that it was raining and everyone got wet on the walk to breakfast, they dont serve water when you sit down for meals, you have to ask for it and it sometimes they forget), 5. the bathroom is terrible. half of it is an outdoor shower which can be nice but not when its the only option and when there is terrible water pressure and no hot water. the other half (toilet, sink, etc) is covered by some of the straw roof of the villa structure. When it rains, it gets exremely messy and dirty (bugs all over the floor and sink, leaves, dity, etc) It was the most uncomfortable i felt in a hotel bathroom in my life. I think all of this could be avoided if they covered the bathroom better with a tent and did regular cleaning. 6. lastly, i think they need to do a better job of lighting the property at night. It gets very dark and is hard to see. and they dont provide guests with flashlights. all in all, the lace has a lot of potential and it is very cute, has beautiful surroundings, great food, and friendly staff (everyone was super nice!). If you are looking for a more rustic, glamping type of situation and just want to unplug, than this is 100% the place for you. If you are like me (are a bit more needy and need better service/ammenities), than re consider.…
