This is a quiet resort, peaceful, and full of beautiful scenery, the one thing it lacks is amenities. This wasn't too bothersome because there are plenty of fun activities in the area. I didn't catch any fish, but may not have been the resorts fault so I will not remove points for that. Overall, it was a lovely place, near... More

So we booked/made the reservations to stay at Lake of the woods Resort. I have to admit, at first I was like what am I/we going to do there, at the resort or in Pinetop, (we are from Phx, Scottsdale area). I'm so glad I went to Pinetop & stayed here. We (2 people) stayed at the Cedars, October 1-3.... More

My husband's dream vacation--log cabin on a lake and fishing for 4 days. We had such an awesome time. It's a small lake but quaint and quiet. We were in cabin 25--just beautiful! Everything we needed was in the kitchen. The gas grill was even spotless and came equipped with a cleaning brush. The staff is friendly. The weather was... More

We had a fantastic weekend. The fish didnt bite (rainbow trout) very much but regardless an excellent spot. We couldnt keep the yellow belly catfish off our hooks. The lake is beautiful and the owners were great. Very informative and there for anything we needed.

Lake of the Woods has been our go to "escape" for the past 15 years. The cabins are rustic yet up to date and plentiful. Here you can fish (without having to get a license), boat, barbecue and come in to watch the Arizona Cardinals on cable TV then take a nice hot shower. The lake has, eagles, herons, ducks,... More

We have been staying at Lake of the Woods for decades now, and can say with certainty that these are the loveliest cabins in the White Mountains. Each cabin is charming and unique and can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 20 occupants - something for everyone! The lake is delightful - eagles and herons and geese are daily visitors, along... Their cabins need to be updated, ours was very dark with very poor lighting. The sofa is so broken down, they need to replace it, you are almost sitting on the floor. We have been camping and traveling for years, this is not new to us, I was cooking and we only had 2 forks, nothing extra, the one wine... More

Our stay was enjoyable despite some small details like hair on the sheets. The staff was accommodating and remedied the problem. We would stay there again. I would give it 5 stars but the highway noise takes away from the ambiance.

Thank you JD and we are sorry about the issues you had while you were here. Depending on which cabin you are in the highway noise can be distracting, and we try to inform our guests on which cabins pose this issue. We look forward to your returning! More
