We booked a room here and then read some of the reviews and had apprehension. It was unfounded as from the cheerful greeting, to actually walking down to show my husband the room and give helpful hints on dinner, ice location, etc it was a great start. We had a huge king room with a kitchenette. It felt fresh and new, tastefully decorated and immaculate. I’m fussy and appreciated the fluffy white towels, white spread and carpet less floors. My own personal problem, I’m not a fan of memory foam mattresses but it was in great shape. I’d have liked a luggage rack and better toilet paper but I’d still give it a top rating. We were on the street side and noise wasn’t an issue. We will recommend Timberlodge to friends and would easily return.

Arrived 10pm without a reservation. Anita welcomed me, suggested the Jacuzzi Suite and walked me to my room. I was expecting quaint, rustic and dated--I was wrong. Rooms are gorgeous and large, with fridge, microwave, coffee maker/coffee, great wifi and water pressure. The jacuzzi is huge and was a welcome end to a long day on the road.
Anita is a warm, welcoming host and pointed me in the direction of great coffee, a car wash, and several restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
I decided to stay a second day, which necessitated a room change. Anita moved me to the room next door (a double), so that was quite easy.
Great location with lots to see and do in the area.
Thanks Anita, it was great meeting you!

Stayed one night with my two pups, after a four hour drive (and working all day.) While the office was closed when I arrived at 6, there was a number on the door that I was quickly able to call and a very nice woman quickly let me know which room I was in and I was able to get right in. the room was very large, clean and upgraded with all the amenities I needed. I loved being able to back right up to the door and unload. Do NOT let the old school front of the motel look fool you as the interior courtyard has a mountain kind of charm and the room I had was comfortable, clean and I felt very safe (104).

The room was nice and recently upgraded with no carpet and nice tiled bathroom. The TV was very large but no instructions were provided on how to operate it. It’s a TV, right? These days with smart TV’s, streaming, and two remotes, some written instructions would have been nice. The king size bed had nice sheets and comforter, however the mattress was memory foam which I don’t like. Your bed needs to support you, not absorb you. When we arrived at the hotel to check in there were two dogs chained up at the parking lot. Our dog refused to get out of our car. We were there for two nights, however there was not enough toilet paper provided. When I went to the office to get more, the Office was closed. The sign said it would open at 9 AM however 9 AM came and went and it wasn’t open so I called the number and was greeted with a sleepy person replying that she would bring toilet paper over soon. It seems that some of the residents at the hotel are permanent or transient. This to me has always been a bad sign. Finally several days after we left, we got a message through booking.com saying that unless we paid for our reservation in crypto currency our reservation would be canceled. Of course we were long gone by then, but the message did come through the lodge and was obviously a scam. I would never stay here again and certainly wouldn’t recommend that anybody else does. There are plenty of places to stay in Pinetop.

I am writing this review trying to go to sleep. The walls are so thin at this place it's like our horny neighbors at right here in the room with us trying to reproduce! The rooms are nice, there are no special amenities like Kleenex, paper towels or dish towels for the kitchenette rooms. No housekeeping services, so bring your own soap if there are two of you because the soap they provide is 2 inches long and one inch wide. Update on the horny neighbors, I can now hear them spanking bare bottoms.....Yuck!! It gives me great joy that I will be up early with my Vitamix blender that I brought and will serenade them with some nice blended ice and protein powder. If you're coming to relax and get some rest after a long day of fishing, hiking and shipping, this is not the place to stay. We will never be back!

1. Front door broken, we had to walk around the building and up a concrete block to the landing to get in the back door. 2. Paper thin curtains and no blinds, neighbors could see thru. 3. 24" table and a metal chair to fit one butt cheek, no easy chair. 4. Bare walls, no pictures. 5. Bathroom light fixture was on the wall a foot to the left of the mirror. 6. The only clock was on the microwave that was in the bathroom. 7. No blanket. 8. We stayed 2 nights and we had to ask for towels the second day. And the towels were as thin as the curtains.

The best aspect of this place is that you feel the people here care. They want to be human to you. Then you get the quality room. Internet is fast, AC is good and you feel comfy in the room. Its quiet and isolated in a wonderful spot with food and groceries not for off. Will definitely be coming back. I just can't say enough about the employees being great humans

We rented the Honeymoon Suite for 2 nights. Room was clean and quiet but lacked tissues and shampoo but had tiny soap bar only. TV remote and cable were scrambled and unable to watch first night. There was no maid service for second day: trash can full, no fresh towels, no makeup service and floor sweep. No replenish coffee packs. When reporting missing items and no service we were told "not included and if you want something extra, all you have to do is ask for it! Wow. Don't expect clean up, make up, trash removal, fresh towels, facial tissues and the tv to work properly. " we're not a luxury expensive hotel and don't supply what they do. Good luck if you book there. I was told I'm the only person to complain in 8 months."

What a joke! Booked thru Booking.com and got screwed! arrived on time in the middle of a bad winter storm, which we expected. Didn't expect an unplowed lot, and a closed lobby. Live-in host looked right at me and turned away. Sign on door read call this # for after hours...it was 3 PM! Called the #, no answer. Called again...no answer. It was freezing and I was in 12" of snow, no VM, alternate #, nothing. Drove away and got another room. Oh..don't forget, the tweeker peeking out the window from the room next to the office, then quickly vanishing. Later found out that most of the residents here are permanent. Wow that says it all, we all know who lives at a hotel. Tweekers! Got ahold of booking.com and they told me to bad so sad, I was a day late. Still fighting that battle. Don't stay here, and don't use booking.com!

Cute on outside but terribly dated and filthy inside. Carpet is awful dirty worn shag from the 70s. There were cracker crumbs on the bed and hair in the bed like the sheets had not been changed and hair in the tub. I do not know how anyone could describe this place as clean. Very disappointing.
