Hotel's Favorite
Haven La Chance is a nice hotel just before the sandy Sahara dunes. The room was nice and cozy and the shower was spacious with hot water. I liked the garden with orange and olive trees with a direct view of the dunes. The pool was also nice although I didn't use it because the weather was quite cold.

This hotel was a disappointment. It would be a two or generously a three out of five. The entranceway is clean and simple but overwhelmingly hot and not really well staffed. The stuff that was present when I went didn’t speak English easily or French from what I could tell, and seem to be doing 1000 yard stare. It was difficult to communicate with him and I wasn’t sure if he was either listening or cared. My senses the hotel is catering more to a backpack or adventurous crowd and yet many of the people there were middle-aged couples. The positives: There is a large dining room and a beautiful beautiful pool. My son enjoyed both a Morning and evening swim and found them both quite refreshing. When we returned from the desert tent experience, there were showers available for us to get cleaned up. That was very welcome and well done. The camel ride and overnight cost 400 Dh for me and 200Dh for my son because he didn’t ride the camel. I have no complaints with the cleanliness of the hotel. I do think it needs air conditioning or at least a fan that works really well. It was 44° the day we were there and just sweltering inside.

Yes, it iis hot. There is a/c in the bedrooms, With the large restaurant, A/C would be hard to mantain. The pool area can be quite nice. But it is the desert and can get hot everywhere. Thank you for your good points and feedback. I hope you enjoyed your basic Bivouac.

Hassan speeks super german and he is very kind and helpful. The piscine is nice and big and the palms are big enough to give much shadow for the camping car. We are now the third time at this place and we were always happy with it.
