We had experienced Wildwwod 20 years ago -it was a surprise then and I thought I would "do it again." It can often be a letdown when you attempt to recreate that special atmosphere, which a memory can "embellish." When I walked into the kitchen, on our first visit, I could smell my grandmother's kitchen and my mind drifted to...

My family and I loved our visit to Wildwood. One of the loveliest guesthouses we've stayed in. The kitchen is well stocked and a pleasure to cook in, the ducks are fun the chase and the fire delightful. We will no doubt be back next year. Thanks to the hosts for making us feel so welcome. Our family, the Watson's,...

Recently we took 3 other couples to stay with us at Wildwood in Mudgee. We had previously been overnight and promised ourselves we would go back with friends. It was indeed a fabulous place for a group. We suspect other groups probably eat out for lunch and dinner, but we were keen to cook breakfast and dinner. The house is...

Rob and Jude are great hosts. We were greeted by two adorable poodles. Rob and Jude then showed us around the house and gave us some dinner and drinks recommendations. Rob & Jude spent the right amount of time with us, made us feel welcome and give us lots of personal space. He lives in the house 5 mins away...

So lovely to stay at Wildwood. Rob and Jude were amazing hosts. The rooms were clean and we'll made up. If you're after the country experience this won't disappoint. There are so many animals on the property (kangaroos, geese, bunnies, and two dogs, plus the neighbors dog!) Hospitality is amazing - breakfast in the mornings, wood stove even driving us...

You drive through Mudgee past vineyards and you start to smile. You cross this bridge and take the right at the bend in the road, follow the dirt road to the end then turn in the driveway which takes you past trees, dams, kangaroos and wooden and metal sculptures - still smiling this is looking good. The house looks charming...

Lovely long weekend. House looks out on a dam with birds and kangaroos on the hills around. Four double rooms with ensuites in a large separate house with earthen walls and wooden ceilings. Breakfast was great, hosts friendly and kind. Highly recommended.

What a find! Wildwood is a beautiful country retreat only a stones throw from the vineyards! The owners are genuine, helpful and ever so friendly! They really did make us feel very welcome!! We will be back and truly recommend Wildwood to anyone staying in the region seeking a luxurious country retreat.

No locks on any bedroom doors so we didn't feel we could leave valuables around given there were other guests also there, no privacy from owners who arrived 1 hr early to cook breakfast and turned music on in common lounge room beautiful roses though

What an amazing weekend away. Arriving from Sydney needing some serious R and R, we were met by the lovely Rob and Jude. The guest house is pure country leisure, comfy big bed, clean, country house style throughout. Jude is an amazing yoga teacher and agreed to give me 2 classes, what a lovely surprise - this woman really knows...
