Cuenca is well worth a visit and couldn't think of a better place to stay than this Parador. Managed to secure a good rate via the Parador internet specials and good value at 110 euros a night. Hotel staff friendly and helpful and good breakfast. Asked for a room overlooking the gorge when booking and had a room on 2nd... More

Having stayed in other Paradors, had hoped that this one would match or better them. However our particular room (no.222) was on the small side but did have a nice view over the valley towards the highest point of the old city. The smallness of the room was demonstrated by the fact that the bathroom door could not be opened... More

Just got back from a trip to Cuenca and I must say that this is THE place to stay if you want to feel a bit of history. The rooms are really big, with big beds and a huge bathroom. We paid extra to have a view over the Hanging Houses and really this wasn't worth it as you have... More

We only stayed at Parador de Cuenca one night and wished we would have stayed longer. The property is very interesting and the view of the gorge and hanging houses was spectacular. We had read to ask for a room on the 2nd floor on the gorge side and are so glad we did. Our room 206 was just as... More

An absolutely gorgeous hotel overlooking the city of Cuenca. We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every last minute of it. A walking bridge connects the hotel to the rest of the city. If you don't like heights, you can always walk down the street and then walk back up the hill to downtown (IIRC it takes about 35... More

We booked the Historic Cities tour direct with Paradors, which gives a very good rate compared with the nightly price. This hotel is in a stunning location, and has magnificent public areas. The room was large and very well appointed, the window was a bit small but then it was a convent previously. I think you can pay a bit... More

We stayed 2 nights at the end of August 07. Its location is excellent, the building is a converted convent and is gorgeous with a very relaxed atmosphere. Our bedroom was standard so didn't have the views, but it didn't really matter. Staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice, but dinner was very disappointing: mainly... The Parador is the best place to stay in Cuenca. The hotel is well positioned for the old town and it's location is stunning. It is connected to the old town via a footbridge over a deep ravine. The hotel is excellent and the rooms are sizable and comfortable. The food in the Parador is good but the menu would... More

Stayed at this Parador early June 07 for two nights. This was our first stay in a Parador so cannot compare it to any others. Was very impressed with the setting of the Parador and the way it has been converted, There is a very peaceful atmospere everywhere inside. Check in was very well handled and we were allocated room... More
