Great location, very handy to old town, great views, excellent facilities and staff, humbling atmosphere, highy recommended place to stay and eat. Rooms are not 5 star - they struggle to make 4 stars, but to steal from the Visa advert, there is a quality and history to the place that is priceless. Restaurant provided the best quality meal we... This hotel, was our second favorite stay of 4 Paradores on this trip. We purchased an upgraded view room (a must in this location), with views of the house of Cuenca overhanging the City. The Parador is easily accessed by car to the hotel historic hillside Cuenca is as easily reached by footbridge across the gorge dividing the town from... More

My daughter and I stopped over in Cuenca and stayed at the Parador. This fantastic old convent turned hotel is a great place. Beautiful location and very convenient to the old city by a walking bridge just off the hotel's main entrance. The rooms are fine although nothing out of the ordinary; fairly spacious and well kept; but when you... More

Great hotel. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. Setting and service were elegant. Food was well prepared and included all the local specialties. Take the prix fixe for 20euros. Complimentary glass of manzanillo. Great local wine. Fresh salads on cold plates. Local trout with pickled eggplant. All exceptionally good. Delicious dessert. All included in the 20 euros. Don't know... More

We stayed two nights here at the start of an eight day holiday in La Mancha and Extremadura and it was a great place to start, being quiet and relaxing. The weather was warm, so sitting out in the patio was wonderful, although of course, you could not see the amazing view of the Casas Colgadas from there. They were... More

Cuenca is a real find. A wonderful little town full of history The parador in an old monastar has the perfect situation to explore that gem. Hotel is fantastic for a day or a weekend.

We spent one night at the Parador. It was our splurge hotel for our trip and worth every Euro. The location cannot possibly be described- as photos do not do it justice. Our room was quite large and very comfortable facing the gorge. It was particularly fun to view it from the easy hike we took from just across the... More

We enjoyed our pretty room with a lovely view of the hanging houses of Cuenca. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and the room was very nice. It was especially nice to see the bridge and hanging houses lit up at night. Our only complaint was that we stayed there the Saturday night that they had a wedding reception (I've... More

Our family party of 4 stayed here at the end of July for 2 nights. This was our first time in a Parador. We had booked a superior room for ourselves and a standard room with young persons discount for our daughters. The Parador was a little tricky to fnd as our satnav wasn't clear and the signs in the... More
