We have stayed in many paradors over the years and during a four day period in August we visited 3 more: Cuenca, Teruel and Hondarribia. Cuenca - 5* Teruel - 3.5, so TA 4* Hondarribia - 2* Cuenca is a lovely parador situated directly across the gorge from the old town. It has great views both during the day and... More

The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, wonderful staff and an amazing location. We enjoyed a perfect dinner in the hotel with live music. The hotel is just a 5 minute stroll across the bridge, from the sights of Cuenca. We really recommend dinner at the hotel, delicious food. Only negative - we asked for a double bed and got two... We have nothing to add to other reviews about this top-notch hotel, but it is worth noting three things you should check out while here: The first is the Ciudad Encantada, which you likely already have on your list, but should add if you don't; it's a very cool place to hike, and not super difficult, either. Second is the... More

I've stayed in about ten paradors now, from Cacares, through Santiago de Compostela to Leon. For sheer beauty, this one however remains my favourite. Perched on the side of the gorge across from the hanging houses, it has views and a placement that take some beating. Very comfy bed and good facilities. Fairly surly breakfast service, but hey, its a... More

A beautiful building Ina magnificent setting, across the gorge from the old town. It is really romantic. The building is wonderful. The hotel rooms are very large and comfortable. The service is very friendly, though not 100% professional as one would expect at a Four Seasons or other top modern chain. The breakfast is very good. The dinner was good... More

Amazing hotel with an amazing atmosphere. Spacious rooms with great taste. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good service. Nothing to complain about. They also have a very nice and big outdoor pool for hot summer days which makes a big difference.

View and location is great. The historic town of Cuenca is breathtaking. The Parador needs an upgrade. The chairs were damaged and even broken in the restaurant. SOme of the furniture in the hotelroom was also damaged. Food was good not nothing special. Parking is nightmare, only good option is to rent a place in the garage for euro 15... More
