Myself and my brother were a little hesitant at visiting this hotel after reading the poor reviews; however since arrival on Wednesday we have yet to see any of the poor reviews actually make any sense. The staff have been very helpful, rooms have been cleaned everyday, all the holiday makers having a great time out at the pool including children. The hotel is well worth the money and will definitely look at staying here again if we return.

Looks like this hotel hasn't changed in all these years - as a 19 year old it was great! The room key seemed to work on any room - which made it fun! Food was crap but booze was plentiful - used to drink at Piccadiley Corner just down the road

I stayed here in June with three girl friends, on our first girls holiday. (Aged 20-22). After reading the reviews, we were quite nervous to arrive and were a bit worried about what we would find! The most important point I want to make is that for the money we paid, we had exactly what we needed. The holiday was a last minute package which didn't cost a bomb. The staff were a mixed bunch - some really helpful membes such as the reception staff, but the restaurant and bar staff were a miserable lot. We were there during the 2016 Euros and to say the football caused a riot would be an understatement; several fights broke out during the first few days of our stay which meant the police were called several night in a row. The lift was also out of order for the week because of said fight taking place in it. However, staff were more than willing to let us use the service lift since we were on the 6th floor and couldn't face the stairs after a skin-full! The restaurant was very hit and miss - there was always something to eat, for example chips, bread rolls and salad. Each night was something meat or pasta based for the main meal, and a lot of fish. Not a lot of option for vegetarians but definitely something for everyone. We booked all-inclusive, which stated would include snacks all day, however on arrival there was nothing available and were told that all inclusive didn't include food between meal times. This proved a problem as a member of our party is a Type 1 diabetic, however there's a small supermarket over the road, with reasonably priced food, drink and souvenirs for sale. There is also a small, outside restaurant about 50 yards from the hotel, with cheap but brilliant meals available- all freshly cooked in front of you, with really helpful staff. The beach is a ten minute, downhill journey with loads of shops and cafes along the way which makes for an enjoyable walk! The pool is very small, but creates a good atmosphere with everyone being gathered round it together; it was clean however there were several tiles missing from the bottom, which created sharp edges. The lifeguard doubles up as the barman, and is a great laugh and very welcoming.. however didn't pay much attention to the pool and very often we would have to serve ourselves from the bar as he was somewhere else, and on his phone. The room easy very basic - it was obvious on arrival that the hotel staff hadn't booked us two twin rooms as we thought, so had crammed two more beds into an already cramped twin room. The beds were clean on arrival, however sheets weren't changed during our stay. I know people don't change their bedsheets at home daily, but at least once a week is to be expected on holiday! The cleaners didn't come into our room at all during the week, until we asked at reception for it to be cleaned. After asking, they came in but simply emptied the bin, and took the dirty glasses/ mugs. Upon speaking to other guests that day, the only other groups/ rooms that also hadn't been cleaned were English. Coincidence? Overall, I think you get what you pay for. We met several families during the week who were less than satisfied with the hotel, as it wasn't very child friendly. For a group of girls like ourselves, it was ideal; a bed to sleep in, close to the beach and main bars/ strip. Food was edible, and it wasn't an expensive holiday.

Please do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else! On arrival I was told that I had no reservation and to essentially go away (with a small child in tow). Then after paying for the internet, showing my reservation... then pleading with them to call the emergency number. The manager finally said that we were here and low and behold my name is on the list. No apology and very rude! Then my room isn't ready and I'm sent away. The original receptionist who insisted that I was not down on the list, see's us return and confidently tells me that HE has sorted it all out for us and that my name was written incorrectly... which is a lie. He then takes our passports and 'forgets' to give my daughters back after only having them for one minute. This I find suspicious as he had just accidently forgotten to give one passport back to a German couple. Then we find the room dirty and beds awful, even for a budget hotel. BUT worst of all is the food which is repetitive and quite frankly rancid. All the money I tried to save booking this hotel is blown as we had to eat out so much. The drinks range is also terrible. Also the pool is tiny, wasn't cleaned in all the time we were there and only open from 10.30-6.30. Even if its cheap it should not be this bad, the hotel nearly ruined our entire family holiday.

Avoid like the plague! Very tired run down hotel without the basics! On arrival we were told we weren't on their records as staying there, they eventually showed us to a room but was told to 'knock first!!!' Seriously?! We definitely didn't plan on sharing when we booked! We were finally given a room that was empty, but there was further disappointment, the room had 2 beds, 2 bedside tables and one dressing table, that's it, no chairs to sit on or even something as simple as a waste paper bin. The balcony was also bare with no table or chairs, not that we'd want to spend any time out there (see pic) We were scared to sleep as we didn't feel confident that the room we were in was actually a free room! We left and booked into another hotel the following morning! To families and couples please avoid, the hotel is falling to bits with absolutely no security! If you are wanting a drunken holiday and don't intend on remembering the hotel then go for it!

I was looking up to see if this place still existed, and it does. I stayed here back in 1987 with a load of mates. It was my first holiday abroad and I loved it. No it's not the Hilton or the Ritz, but it is a good hotel for people that just want sun sea and excursions. The food was basic but good, and the drinks flowed well. I had a very happy 2 weeks at this place and would love to go back one day just to revisit old times. If it's anything like it was 29 years ago then it's well worth staying there. Especially if on a budget.

If you pay very little for your holiday, dont expect the Ritz. Staff friendly, rooms fine. Food alright if your hungry. Pool very small. I would stay here again, but this hotel is not for children or families. Mostly German, i enjoyed my stay
