My daughter and her friend arrived last night at 11pm and the hotel is CLOSED !!!! They had to find another hotel near by and are waiting to see what happens today. The transfer bus dropped them off, told them to walk the rest of the way and when they got there the front gate was locked and it was in total darkness.

The older men need more training on how to be polite and friendly. The man who works the shift for breakfast is very rude. The first few mornings we would say hello and he just stared back at us and said nothing. If you don't enjoy your job, leave and I'm sure someone will do it better. The older man (sorry can't remember any names) who worked the dinner evening shift was lovely and helpful, always said hello and had a smile on his face..perhaps he should do the training for the other men👀 However the women staff were excellent! Very polite and helpful and improved our experience from the mornings we had. The older man who works on reception and the bar had an attitude and would also benefit from some updated training on how to speak to guests. The younger man on reception was friendly and helpful. No air con was a shock as it doesn't state this on their website!! Meaning we had to open the balcony door which is not only a risk but we also got tones of mosquito bites. They do give you a fan if you ask. There was not any vegan options provided after asking and explaining so I ate fruit, chips and salad most days..oh and the salad they use for lunch is the same one they put out for dinner😩😩 the sunbeds really need a padded cover rather than just sitting on plastic. The pool area is nicely set out for its size. We still had a lovely holiday and as I said before the women staff really positively impacted our stay. Majorca is a beautiful place that I will gladly return to, however the hotel sadly is not.

Good points-- all female Hotel staff are lovely Bad points-- food terrible, breakfast is cereals, toast, cold boiled eggs, hard tasteless crossiants,melon.. There's no hot breakfast at all. Lunch is salad consisting of lettuce (which is questionable), tomatoes and white onion, then a mix of those with tuna, a bowl of sweet corn and some rice. Both breakfast and lunch are supervised by the rudest man I have ever encountered on a holiday... You say aloa, he glares at you... He touches the food with no gloves on. Dinner is exactly the same as lunch but with either a fish or meat platter and chips. There are no snacks that you usually get with all inclusive and drinks are only available in AI between 11 and 11...the bar is vacant of staff and you end up having to go to reception to ask for someone to come to the bar. The rooms are very basic but what you'd expect for the price so not a problem, but the no air con is a massive problem, very hard to sleep... The only way to get some air is with the balcony doors open all through the night which isn't ideal... We were very on edge being on the first floor having to do that as two females alone. I've never been abroad and not had air con, it was awful... Ended up catching up with in the day when the sun was on the other side of the building! Website says that the beach is a few minutes walk... Erm... Nope... Its about twelve minutes down a steep hill - which you then obviously have to walk back up. Definitely don't recommend to anyone!!!

Visiting this place 2nd time. For people writing reviews: please keep in mind that the hotel is a basic, cheapest available place offering full board / all inclusive. hotel employees are local residents. they just work for low money and they are frendly enough. lots of customers are young people and comming only for having a party so the families looking for quiet place are forced to chose different place. rooms could be cleaned more often . I have just booked my next stay in the palm mazas.

The hotel just did not even meet expectations. As we arrived it just felt like the scene from the in between era movie, the area itself isn’t great either so not a place we’d be looking to ever visit again

When we made the check in , we were announced that we had to pay the eco tax, that is 31 euros, for 2. The problem was that we did not know about this tax before our arriving. When we asked for explanations at the reception, the lady there was very impolite, telling us that it was not the hotel's business to anounce the guests about this tax, but the agency, hotels.com, must have announced us. It did not seem fair, as this tax could have been maybe of 500 euros. I stongly believe taht guests must be announced of each tax they have to pay before their arrival or even before deciding to book a room. Secondly, lunch and dinner was an awful experience!!! Food was tasteless, and very little variety. Another problem was the fact that, except for the receptionists, nobody spoke English, even though the hotel was full of strange tourists. The only waitress when serving breakfast was as sour as a lemon, very impolite, speaking only Spanish, and when she looked at us, we almost lost our apetite, She was very angry and definetely not glad to see tourists eating and that she had to collect the dishes. A complete nightmare! The door from the balcony did not close properly, so it was freezing cold. Also, we did not have free wi-fi. Not even in the lobby. I did not encounter this situation anywhere I travelled. Not even in Israel. In 7 days that we stayed there, we kept money and IDs with us, because of the broken door and someone could easily jump into our room, from the next door balcony. To sum up, I will NEVER, choose this hotel again, and I do not recommend it at all to other people. And I am not a fussy person!!!!!!!

As a farmer, I will normally eat anything BUT the food was truly atrocious - wouldn't offer it to my sheepdog - seen pigs eat better swill. A full english breakfast would be preferable BUT that presented was just foreign crap emanating from a ghetto menu. We survived on toast and croissants for the 3 days of hell we spent there. After experiencing the slops for lunch and dinner for 2 days, went to eat out. Also beware of the difference between Full Board and All Inclusive. We were led down the garden path by OntheBeach - Full Board is only the food - nothing else - All inclusive is food AND DRINK. The rooms and general decor is depressing beyond the first floor. It resembles a doss house. The water pressure in our and other rooms showers resembled a trickle from running tap. The matter was drawn to the attention of the reception staff, who were very helpful, and it took two visits to the desk to actually get a decent shower. A large number of people had been bitten by mosquitos which descended upon the mess room at meal times because windows were left wide open. We didn't use it more than twice but the bar is the best thing about the place and has a decent barman. Arenal is not an area which I would recommend for the British - KEEP CLEAR. It is over-run with that ignorant lot who bombed our chips shops and they clearly like to hear themselves, no matter where. Wouldn't even send my landlord there with a one way ticket.

Stayed at this Hotel late September, found it to be friendly, clean, and nice hard working staff. The location was OK, 10 mins walking to beech. The food, excellent choice on continental breakfast, evening meal above average, but always hot and fresh, the price of Alcohol was good too, wine £1.50 a glass, big beer £3. This hotel deserves 3 stars, so I would give it 8/10. THE RESORT!, Omg!, FOR GERMAN'S only...nothing to do for Brits, all expensive German and Dutch bars, one bar called Bier Bar Express twelve euro for two basic drinks! Rip off, around Palma bay to Palma Nova you could get this for 5 euro!, This is where we started to hang out!, Oops we did have one Brit bar there called the Blues bar, this was a grim tiny basement place only open at night, selling cheap paint stripper shots, why this place is well respected in this site beats me, beer not that cheap either, they had beer pong, two of there 3 tables stuck together with plastic cups be on where people played with each other for shots they had already purchased, boring joke!. To sum up great hotel, but STAY well clear if your British from the Resort.
