We were one week on holiday in this nice hotel and we known that El Arenal is famous for lots of groups young drinking and noisy people from Germany, but this hotel is situated in quiet area, so dont be warry about this. Rooms are basic with tv and ac,but somethimes little noisy from other room, but its ok, staff politely, food good, to the beach about cca 5 minuts, bus station to the Palma 1 minute. Lots of restaurants in neghbour. If you looking cheap good hotel in Mallorca, i can recommend. ,

Me and my girlfriend spent 4 nights at the hotel and I must admit I was worried when I read some of the other reviews, however on arrival and even though we were early at around 10:30 am the staff quickly made sure I room was ready and offered us a coffee by the pool while waited. The hotel and room itself was clean and tidy with the rooms cleaned daily and following my request we were given a room on the 4th floor overlooking the forest which was a great view and also kept us away from the hotel next door as I'd read this can be noisy but we were pleasantly surprised as although they could be heard this stopped around 11pm each night. The pool is small but perfectly sized for a quick swim a cool down and the bar staff were attentive and the drinks were priced cheaper than the local bars. As for the location the only downside was the very steep hill leading to the seafront which was a challenge some evenings and for less mobile people would have been difficult, that said there are plenty of taxis around or even a bus to bring you back up. The food was better than some hotels we have stayed at with a good selection at both breakfast and dinner, we never went hungry and the dedicated table is a great idea as it saves a lot of waiting around for a table. All in all this a nice 3 star hotel and we would happily stay here again.

We arrived early hours of the morning due to flight delay, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman on the desk who quickly booked us in, and then gave us a bag with sandwiches fruit cake which I thought was a nice touch, I had requested a high room overlooking the woods as I had previously read revues we were on the 6th floor, small room was clean with balcony, ceiling fan, and air con which was either on or off unable to set it but it worked well enough with the ceiling fan to keep a nice temperature, we were given a table number for the whole of our stay which was nice knowing you had no worries getting a table together for breakfast and evening meal, breakfast was a very good selection from cereal, cooked, continental, all drinks only downside was juice was very very sweet, evening meals were all good quality and different each night I would suggest it catered well for all food types, yes if you wanted a drink you did pay for this but not silly money, if you weren’t bothered about having a drink then it was no bother. We found the staff friendly and worked very hard, our room was cleaned daily, my husband also celebrated his birthday whilst we were there and on the evening of his birthday we went back to our room to find a bottle of champagne on ice with chocolates we thought this was a nice touch.the beach is a good 10 minute walk down hill but bare in mind it is a steep hill going back to it and not good for people with mobility difficulties.i would agree that the area was full of hen and stags ( that’s not hotel fault) the beds on the beach cost 16euro a day and inendated with people selling fake merchandise or drinks and massages. There is a train that runs the promenade and cost 5 Euro for a two trip ticket. having said all this we had a good time and did relax no one interfering with us and we never felt threatened by any one who had had a lot of drink. Back to the hotel the pool was very small and very cold so whilst we lay round the pool for a while we didn’t go in, the hot tub was also freezing so didn’t do that either, on our last day we spent by the pool as we had a late afternoon flight and I was eaten by flies, it’s not dirty I think it’s more because the woods are there the area was clean, I can’t recommend the cocktails we did try one each and they were expensive and undrinkable but again neither of us are big drinkers we just thought it would be nice by the pool with a ice cold drink. There are a lot of hotels around and to be honest we didn’t hear from them at night, yes the beds were very hard but we did sleep ok, and we could get bbc and itv as well as music channel on the TV when we wanted to have a rest before evening meals. I would suggest that if you want 5 star then you wouldn’t be booking a 3 star expecting more, the hotel makes no bones about its charges we knew that if we wanted certain thing we would have to pay for them including WiFi which it is cheaper to use data on your mobile the 14 Euro for week worth. We visited Palma and would go back for a long weekend there as it looks a great place to explore but that’s for another time.

My wife and i stayed at the end of August. First impressions where good . The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfy, but the place is coming down with flies. The pool which was quite good but you could not sit out because of the flies. The bar man was brilliant. The restaurant food was ok but flies kept landing on your food to a point we moved to apart of the restaurant that was least effected .Dont get me wrong this problem was no just at this hotel as we tried eating at other places near the hotel and they had the same problem.

We have seen many families with children in the hotel during our stay, been family with a child we would like to advice you - stay away, look elsewhere. The most dangerous thing about the hotel especially for toddlers and very young kids is the fact that full size door from floor level is permanently open between ground floor and first floor on stair landing, with one careless step child could easily fall to the ground and gets injured or worst. El Arenal where hotel is situated is party animal’s paradise, hotel "Bahamas" next to Manaus is a loud place with pool parties going well past 11pm every night. You will feel like boom box is switched inside your head at maximum level no matter which room in the hotel you occupy. Pool is smallest we have ever seen in hotels of this size, once couple of adults jump into it on inflatable beds there is not much point going into it. Children's pool is boarded and not in use. Do not dare to waste your money on 2 for 1 Mojito or Sangria at pool bar - the taste is awful (not freshly made). Hotel is dated in décor and needs desperate investment to bring it in line with modern feel. Beds in rooms are as firm as bricks - your backs will scream after couple of nights when you start missing your own bed at home. Bedding meant o be changed every 3 days, that never happened unless we asked every 3 days. Cleaning is very basic with emptying bins and changing towels. Do not expect floor hoovered or swept, we actually found lots of human hairs first time we moved into the room in the bathroom, we were not daring to look under the beds in case something nasty will surprise us! With addition of 3rd bed in the room absolutely no room left to walk, you will be reduced just to seat on the bed all the time under the coldness of air cone. Every balcony has metal see through mesh dividers, so do not expect privacy at all. Also as all air cone fans are placed directly at balconies when air cone is on the heat from the fan will prevent you enjoy the balcony, other vice you have to give up the air cone in your room. You have to pay deposit for air cone remote to make it work (be careful not to break or lose it). If you want cool drinks in your room you have to rent small fridge or mini bar at € 2 per day; you also pay for Wi-Fi daily fee. Breakfasts are poor and repetitive day after day, juice served is undrinkable chemical full of sugars. Many people steal food at breakfast in large amounts - particularly Italians filling their bags for the whole family of 4-5 people preparing and wrapping 10-15 sandwiches each morning. This is one of the reason guests are getting poor breakfasts, otherwise all good food will be wasted to feed hotel thieves. Staff knows about the problem but almost gave up arguing with dishonest guests on daily basis. The only positive sign is dinners - they are of a good variety, well cooked and not repetitive - well done Chief! The only downside of dinners is that most of the food is excessively salty (may be for a reason) as hotel decided to deny you any free drinks whilst you dining! You cannot bring your own; instead you have to buy water, fizzy drinks or beer from the hotel every time you eat. In our view this is greedy and cheeky, but people seems not complaining much about it, although some try to snick their own drinks into tables but staff is well trained to police that and next time you may find glasses are taken away from your dedicated table as punishment. Reception staff is friendly but limited in help about anything local (places, directions or attractions) we were better off finding the information we required from Google and Gmaps. Beach immediately next to the hotel by marina is dirty, busy and noisy. With kids going elsewhere under the baking sun will be a challenge as going on the bus takes time and been typically Spanish public transport is often late by up to 20 min. You could go 30-40 minutes walking towards Palma or take a bus to reach quieter and cleaner part of the beach but it has it downside - underwater currents making water hot and cold in turn every minute, so after half an hour you may give up the idea of going into the water at all. At night there is absolutely nothing to do in the area if you are not young, addicted to drinking or German. Idea of walking up and down the promenade and watching drunk people in their thousands every evening made us miserable for 2 weeks. Our best time was visiting Palma Aquarium, city of Palma, Es Trenc beach and Porto Christo to see caves.
