Stayed a couple of nights whilst trying to sort out a flight home. Check-in was quick and effortless. Rooms are very basic, smell quite musty and the furniture has seen better days. Surprisingly the shower was powerful with constant hot water which was unexpected. WiFi signal strength on the 1st floor was very good. The rooms also have a small flatscreen tv and a ceiling fan. Reception lobby has hot/cold drinks and snacks vending machines. Towels were changed daily whilst we were there and any rubbish taken away. The one asset this place has though is reception staff that are very helpful and friendly (they speak good English). If you just want a base to sleep with no thrills, then the Arenal Pins would suffice as its close enough to all local amenities. Just don't expect any luxury as the place desperately needs a deep clean/refurb.

Used this hotel as a stopover near the airport for an early morning flight with 2 children. The hotel is more like a youth hostel, full of German kids. The noise until around 5am was unbearable, loud music, people shouting etc. There is a lift, however you need to walk up 3 flights of steps to get to it?? The hotel itself is basic but clean and no air con was tough going in August...just stear clear if you have a family or want to get any sleep whatsoever!

I booked here for 7 nights in September. I arrived at this place by getting the 21 bus from the airport then walking about 800m to the hotel which includes going up a steep hill. The location of the hotel is quite near the beach and has plenty of nearby bars and restaurants. The only positive about this stay is that the staff were friendly. The room wasn't that clean, the bed linen was poor quality, the towels were not very clean and the fan in the room squeaks very loudly when turned on. Even though I paid for Bed and Breakfast I did not fancy the breakfast from this place. There seems to be far nicer places to stay nearby. I was very thankful I was able to stay at a friends hotel for 3 nights otherwise this place would have driven me mad.

We have just returned 19/09/2014 after spending 5 nights at Arenal Pins Hostel and we were impressed with our room as it only cost £93. Balcony with 2 chairs, bathroom with shower over half bath with constant hot water, 3 single beds in our room as a couple, wardrobe, bedside table, dressing table, plenty of mirrors, furniture old and standard. grateful for lift as we were on the 4th floor, bin emptied and clean towels daily. We slept well, no noise maybe as it was September, the 24hr reception all lovely and helpful, supermarket next door and location really good for short walk to beach front. We had a late night flight home so appreciated the use of the free shower rooms on 5th floor available to use after a long day in the sun to refresh with towels also available, we had to check out at 12.00 noon No tea/coffee facilities in room, machines in reception for 1 euro but we took a travel kettle. Wifi only in reception with 2 sofas. The bus stop a few yards from entrance to the left was only 1.50 euro to Palma, bus number 23. would book again.

I stayed at this hotel begining of August for 5 nights. When we arrived it was really late and there was no problem to check in.Always someone at the reception. It's a really low cost accommodation, 2 single beds, a chair, a wardrobe, a table and a smaller table between the beds. Everything was really old and odd, the bed covers were stained and dirty, the towels smelled like bleach. The cleaning was superficial, towel were changed every 2 days. It is extremely hot at night as there is only one old fashioned fan. Extremely noisy as well, earplugs are a must! It was ok for us as we didn't actually spend time in there we wanted to enjoy the island and the beach and we did not expect much either as we didn't pay a lot of money. The only thing that really upset us was the breakfast. We had it included in the deal but we felt really sorry for choosing it as it consisted from one small brioche, one small croissant, slices of bread, jam and butter - which we could have bought from any shop much cheaper - and orange juice or coffe from the automatic machine and that was it and it was the same every day. If you're lucky to get a room on the first floor you get free internet, if not you need to stay at the reception to get signal. The staff were all middle aged local people extremely nice and polite, all of them especially the only lady there that saved us as we nearly lost the transfer bus to the airport. If you get shuttle to the airport make sure you are in front of the hotel at least 10 minutes earlier as the bus might be early and you end up running after it as we did :) As position I would say it is very well positioned close to the beach, to the bus stop and lots of mini supermarkets around. Everything seemed very cheap to us compared to London. The Arenal itself it is full of young crazy people most of them Germans and it is really noisy all the time so if you like peace and quiet you better go on the north side of the island. As general I think that Mallorca is a really good destination for holiday, has a lot to offer and I will definitely come back!

I booked the room in this hostel with the help of one web resourse (like booking). They sent the voucher and later hotel refused us a room and redirected me to another hotel... I stayed and paid at that (another) hotel. After 1 month arenal pins hostal charged from the card amount for "no show" though they themself refused me with a room (saying they didn't have free rooms , problem with water etc). Now they don't answer e-mails. Be carefull leaving you card details!

I stayed at this hostal with my boyfriend last week and got what we expected. The first night we arrived we were told that they didn't have a room ready for us - this was my fault because I booked a room for the 28th instead of the 27th, but because we technically arrived on the 28th (at 1am), the hostal took on full responsibility for my mistake and a very kind receptionist spent an hour calling every hotel in the arenal to find us a room at the hostal's expense. When he couldn't find a place for us he was very apologetic and even offered us a room at his house! We of course refused and stayed at a friend's house with no hard feelings. When we called the next morning to check if they had our room ready it turned out the last guests had destroyed it so we got moved to a hotel just down the road for 3 nights. Upon return to the Arenal Pins we got decently sturdy beds which we put together without major problems, the furniture served its purpose, the ceiling fan kept us cool at night, we had hot water in the shower and the broken shower head was replaced after we reported it to reception. The balcony is a decent size but we were overlooking the main road, which can be quite noisy at night (not the hostal's fault), on the upside though, we were just above reception, which meant we had access to the free wifi. Cleanliness can't be faulted really, towels were changed every two days as stated on the posters around the hostal, the receptionist also changed ours earlier upon request. Bedding was plain and simple but very clean. Once again, thank you to the great receptionists, who also allowed my boyfriend to use the reception computer to transfer data from his camera to his hard drive; very kind!

We stayed in Arenal Pins in April/May for five nights. Despite us arriving around 1am, the reception was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 109 and we were the only guests on the first floor so it was nice and quiet. The room is very basic with two single beds, inbuilt wardrobe (several hangers and drawers), a desk and a single chair in the corner. The room and the bathroom were all nice and clean and towels (but not the sheets) were changed once during our stay. The housekeeping staff is a little on the too efficient side at times so hide any bottles/ plastic cups that might even vaguely resemble rubbish. However, on the third day more people arrived and then we realised that the walls are indeed paper thin and earplugs are a must! Also, you can hear the traffic from the streets. Additionally, the beds cannot be pushed together so not the best option for couples. Also, the bathroom floods every time you shower as the shower curtain is slightly too short and directs all the water onto the floor. The location is good as it is not too far from the beach front and there are few shops and restaurants right next to it. Also, there is a great car hire place (we hired a scooter) very close by. Altogether, the hotel is a good option for people who only need a room for sleeping and keeping the luggage in. The staff is very friendly and polite and luckily we did not have any issues with other guests in the hotel (as there were not that many yet). The balcony gets evening sun so it was nice to sit there with a drink and watch people on the street. In addition to earplugs, we would recommend to take a small travel kettle and some tea or coffee as the hotel doesn't provide any of these in the room.
