decent thing about this hotel is the matress, proper memory foam. Other than that, nothing good to say about the hotel. There is no entertainment AT ALL. the pool bar is non existant, and the pool is filthy.staff friendly. Breakfast is a sham of cold food. The...drinks machine never works

My partner and I have just returned to London after a weeks stay in Hotel Costa Mediterraneo. We had a lovely holiday on a budget. One thing we could not fault was the cleanliness. Wherever you went it smelt of nice clean soap and the bed linen/towels were fresh. Check in was quick, we arrived around 2am and had to pay the usual tourism tax, which being a 2 star hotel, it wasn’t very much at all. It obviously has been recently renovated, yes the further you go up the stairs the older the flooring becomes but come on- who goes on holiday to moan about old floors? I really didn’t mind our room, the bed was big and super comfortable, even a third bed which we used as clothes storage! Freshly painted walls and very clean. The wardrobe was nice and new with 10 hangers and there was a safe too but we did not use. The bathroom was basic but we had no problems with water temperature and enjoyed our daily showers. This hotel gave me Travelodge vibes. So, now the things we think could definitely be improved upon to gain more clientele. I really think as a hotel you need to listen to the reviews about noise and come up with a solution. It was the only thing to be honest that made us slightly unhappy with our stay! We had room 408 which was right next to the elevator and it kept me awake most nights… you could hear it going up and down, people’s conversations, and the lift door being smashed against the walls when people open it. Breakfast was raised to 9 euros during our stay, we tried it once, arriving at 9:15am. What was left of the baguette was not enough for two people and didn’t get replenished but the scrambled eggs and bacon did. I don’t think it was worth 9 euros but it was nice to enjoy the “hotel experience” and the food was nice! We thought there was a drainage problem as every morning when we flushed the loo a smell of rotten eggs filled the bathroom for around 30 mins- 1 hour. And lastly, the TV situation! I asked reception if there was any English channels as we couldn’t find any and they said there was 2 or 3 but alas we couldn’t find anything. The TV itself is super small and placed on the wall far away so if you’re blind like me it’s a little tricky!

Room Tip: If you get room 408, ask to move immediately. The lift will keep you up all night!

Stayed for a week in April. Nice clean hotel, close enough to centre, lovely helpful staff, . Nice breakfast although found it strange that bacon, sausages, eggs in the morning were cold, although maybe that is normal for Spain

We visited this hotel as a couple in our late 20s, in April 2022. Our first time abroad since the pandemic, so we were looking forward to it. The hotel was very clean. The cleaners were super friendly and always said hello. The pool area was so quiet, we had it to ourselves often. The decor was fairly modern, standard for a budget hotel. A big supermarket just a few minutes walk away, through a park area at the bottom of the road. The beach was a ten minute walk (although it is up hill coming back). Perfect location for the bus stop to visit Palma. On this basis, it was a great budget hotel for a break away. However, the noise was almost unbearable. El Arenal is a popular party location, with large bars/clubs aimed at German tourists. Which of course, means lots of drunk people. There was absolutely no sound proofing in the hotel room. You could hear every word in the surrounding rooms. You could also hear the loud noise made by the lift, which was in constant use around the clock. One afternoon there was a fight in the room next door, and it sounded like they threw furniture at the walls! I only had between 3 and 5 hours sleep a night, due to loud/drunk people leaving, arriving and just hanging out in the corridors and in their rooms at all sorts of hours. I've stayed in lots of budget hotels in Europe, and hostels but never experienced noise like this. I saw the reviews but assumed it would be fine, but it really is as noisy as everyone says. The first night, I was scrolling through hotel websites at 3am to try and find somewhere else to stay as it was too loud to sleep, although due to cost we decided to just put up with it. This hotel is probably perfect if you want to stay somewhere low cost and want to party/stay up late every night or are a very deep sleeper! It was clean, had semi comfortable beds and pillows, and an okay shower. However, I personally wouldn't recommend it if you want a relaxing holiday now that restrictions have been dropped.

My partner and I spent four days in this hotel. We had such a lovely time!!! Our hotel room was perfectly cleaned every day. Thank you to all the cleaners! The receptionists such as Carmen and the other lady (who I cannot remember her name but begins with a letter 'A') were so lovely, they were always ready to help us. Ana (the breakfast lady) was also very lovely towards us. The breakfast is simple but tasty! The location is perfect. Great swimming pool too. I must say, on Monday night, there was a male receptionist doing the shift. My partner and I asked for some ice, the receptionist asked me to wait whilst he finished with a customer. So I waited. All of a sudden he begins to swear, everything he was saying sounded so rude. I didnt understand if it was at me? He made me feel really uncomfortable. Therefore my overall rating is 4 stars. Thank you for the experience! Muchas gracias !!!

Ok The hotel is remodeled but I found 2 thing that are I credibly awful. The food is really terrible and you have to pay for air conditioning. In mallorca. In the middle of the summer. You have to pay for air conditioning. How??

Check in was very efficient the man was very helpful and friendly, we checked in around 8pm. Room was nice and clean. All staff really friendly. We stayed for 10 day's, couldn't fault our stay apart from a noisy person trying to get in his room late at night, which the night man helped him get in his room, apart from that no issues.

me and my husband had a long weekend away. when we walked into the reception at 10pm after a long day,we came across the male receptionist having a massive argument with an older lady and kept going while we stood at the desk. not good first impressions.. omg when we got out of the old lift we were hit with woodchip paper with hundreds of layers of paint. our door was so flimsy it was unreal. and it had a tiny little bathroom lock in the inside.. did not feel safe at all. room was small but clean.. bathroom needed tlc. shower was hanging off the wall. bath was all chipped.. not good really. breakfast was a no no for me.. there was your usual stuff bacon eggs and stuff but it was luke warm. i was so pleased we only stopped for the weekend.. theres no way i could of done week.. if i was you.. i would look elsewhere.. unless you dont mind sharing a hotel with workman using it for digs...
