The Hipotels Eurotel Punta Rotja is often celebrated for its serene atmosphere and direct beach access, with guests regularly lauding the stunning views and tranquil environment. Amenities such as the beautiful pool and a range of food options add comfort to the stay, while the half board option is popular among those looking for value due to the scarcity of nearby dining establishments. While the spacious rooms receive compliments for their comfort, some reviewers suggest decor and maintenance could be improved. Service is generally regarded as attentive, enhancing the hotel's charm, despite occasional criticism towards reception. The cleanliness across the hotel's facilities consistently impresses guests.

This hotel is fully deserving of its 4 stars and exceeded our expectations. It’s location on a small headland away from the main resorts makes it quiet and secluded, and I was concerned that we would have to drive into either Cala Bona or Cala Millor for restaurants in the evening. However, there are 5 or 6 excellent restaurants within a 10 min walk of the hotel all serving excellent food at reasonable prices.

We had rooms overlooking the pool area that were spacious and well furnished. The beds were comfortable and extra bedding and pillows were available. The rooms had mini bars fridges that were handy for keeping any water or drinks cool. The bathrooms were larger than expected with a double vanity sink in one of our rooms. Each room also had a small safe fitted into the wardrobe, but rather disappointingly you had to pay to use! €3.50 a day seemed a bit excessive.
Our rooms were on the 1st floor and located above the main restaurant. The noise from the restaurant early in the morning when the hotel was preparing for the breakfast service could be a little intrusive.

The hotel facilities were very clean and well maintained. The pool and sunbathing areas were well laid out and organised and there was plenty of staff to help with beds and sunshades. The gym whilst very small (3 machines and free weights) was clean and functional and an effective COVID booking system had been put in place to make sure only one room could access the gym at a time. The gardens were very well maintained.

The Spa is run by an external company, has numerous treatment rooms and it’s own indoor Pool. it also appears to provide an amazing range of treatments. However, when trying to book a treatment it became clear that due to a limited number of Therapists not all treatments are available - this could be COVID related. The price of the treatments was as expected.

The breakfast buffet was very extensive and had lots of variety, catering for all dietary requirements. Fresh made to order omelettes and eggs were available at a walk up kitchen. The pool bar served drinks and a very good menu of fresh food until 6pm every day.

We used the hotel bar most evenings before dinner and the staff were an absolute delight! The cocktail list was surprisingly good (and very good value!) I would recommend the Hierbas Mojito and the Sangria.

Overall the staff were very helpful and courteous and no request was ever too much trouble. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a fabulous location.

Arrived early afternoon greeted with a much welcomed glass of bubbly. First impression walking into the lobby was wow very clean, spacious and cool. A hairdressers and small shop is available near reception. Our room overlooked the pool and sea view. Room was large with 2single beds and wow the most comfortable beds ever! There is a large bathroom with shower over bath, toilet, bidet and twin sinks under a wall of mirror. Safe available in which you programme with your own number. There is a stocked fridge, charged as you consume them.there is no kettle or cups in the room so bring your own. There are plenty of wall sockets. The balcony is large with table, 2 chairs and clothes rack.near th3 hotel about a 5 minute walk is the only local shop but packed with anything you would need food, toiletries and drink including water and milk. Restaurant has an amazing choice of food and fresh bread, pastries and fruit for breakfast and supper. Breakfast items such as fried eggs and omelettes are cooked to order. In the evening fish and meats cooked as you order. All drinks and snacks can be charged to your room therefore no need to carry cash during the day. Pool sun beds plentiful and very little towel warriors in the morning therefore large daily choice for location of sun beds around the pool or quieter on the grassed lawns or near the sea front. There are plenty of pool side shower and toilet facilities there are 4 pools with maximum depth of 1:8 meters. The only down died is that a few couples brought their dogs and there are 3 resident cats which roam around at mealtimes, this could cause a problem given children are running around bare footed near the pool and potentially could pick up animal related germs ! The gym and indoor pool are clean . Pool towels are free but incur €15 if not returned at end of week. Towels can be swapped daily with the pool guard or in the spa area. There are 2 lifts available and ramps allow ease of access tote lower garden area although there are very steep steps leading down to the beach area. All in all an amazing hotel and only 4 mile from the busier Cala bona / Cala mill or.

Location is great if you search for relax and nature. Far from big parties, close to the sea and mountains (views are great). You can use the pools with free sunbeds/umbrellas, lay close to the seaside (sunbed/umbrella for 4 EUR a day) on a small stony beach or go to the sandy beach not far from the hotel (15 min walk). There is a bar next to the swimming pools, hotel restaurant and a small restaurant right next to the seaside.
There are also several places to eat and drink next to the hotel (“David” is our favorite:)). Hotel is a nice, rather simple one (would say 3 stars). Rooms are being cleaned up every day. Breakfast is good, variety of options: Spanish food, English breakfast, cereals, sweet/salty options, fruits and even champagne in the morning if you want to start your day with:) The staff is very friendly and polite. We’ve never used the gym, tennis/gold fields, inside pool or spa but all these options are available. You can also rent a bike. Free parking if available. There are days when it is easy to get a place, sometimes it is full, so you have to be creative finding a parking place nearby. There is also a small market next to the hotel and a photo spot with a sea view (20 min walk from the hotel). You can find a bus stop also next to the hotel (we’ve never checked the routes or schedules) but if you would like to travel and explore the island - renting a car is the best option. I’m general we are satisfied with our staying at the hotel:)
-
There is nothing horrible to be mentioned. We’ve got what we’ve expected. Some points to be mentioned are the same pointed out already in other reviews we’ve checked. It is a bit loud from the hotel side with a mountain view (service, cars driving, garbage trucks). Cleaning ladies might be also loud in the morning. And the bathroom tubes are a bit outdated = smelly and loud (you can hear water from the tubes when you/someone from the other room is taking a shower/using toilet).

Have stayed at this hotel on many occasions. Lovely location in costa los pins an hour by hire car from the airport. Area is residential with multi million pound villas close by. Stayed in a number of different rooms from the 7th floor to the first always had a good night sleep but the odd room could do with a touch up. This years rooms were on first floor facing the back and had been refurbed and were ideal for us but no real view but were quiet and comfortable and being on first floor avoided having to use the lifts which are small and at busy times very slow. Staff have always been great. Pool area and grounds are lovely but get busy but the atmosphere is lovely. Pool bar serves decent food. Two restaurants close to the hotel 2 min walk as is Marias supermarket which is superb for fresh rolls and daily supplies. Small beach area not much sand and Beach parasols and beds come at 5 euro charge for the day. Small jetty and steps into the sea, snorkelling is decent for this area. La Cabana is an independent restaurant at the end of the garden area great place for.a pre dinner drink overlooking the sea but must pay by card/cash as not linked to hotel room. Nice spa area which has free access to the pool/sauna treatments are payable and good. Separate indoor pool next to a gym which is very basic and not up to four star standard. Hotel has a number of private apartments and adds to the returning guests as this hotel gets lots as its such a nice place to relax. Entertainment is mainly every other night and is decent but don’t expect too rock the night away. There are four good quality golf courses within a 15 min drive and you can walk to the son severa one in about 10 mins.
All in all we love this hotel the staff and the area make it such a relaxing holiday.

I urge you to stay at any hotel other than this one. I will try to concisely share my experience.

• My partner stepped on broken glass! Yes, broken glass!! The steam room at the spa had broken glass all over the floor that he did not see and when he took his first step into the steam room, he shouted in pain and realized what had happened and carefully tried to walk back out. I ran to get a staff member who came with me to where my boyfriend had sat down outside of the steam room and had pulled a shard of glass out of his foot, which he was now holding in his hand. The staff member told us that the day prior, the door had broken so that's why there was glass. So they knew there was broken glass. They didn't clean it up. They didn't put up signs warning guests. And they didn't lock the door preventing guests from using the facilities. When we complained to reception about this, they told us the spa is a seperate company from the hotel.

• There were birds living in the ceiling of our room that would fly in through the exterior side of window on the balcony. Despite multiple complaints about the noise keeping us up at night, this issue was not resolved until 8 days into our stay and it was not resolved easily. When I was finally able to speak with the hotel manager, he invited me into his office but not to sit down, and was extremely aggressive from the get-go. He tried to make multiple excuses but when I wouldn't concede, he just kept shouting st me, "What do you want?! What do you want?!!" so when I told him what I expected and what I thought a fair compensation would be, he then began with another discussion until, again, he realized I wouldn't concede so he eventually gave in and that afternoon the window was sealed off so the birds could no longer get in and my partner and I recieved a free massage at the hotel spa as an apology. This is what I argued for, though I don't think a guest at a four-star hotel should have to argue for such a thing to begin with, especially because no one expects to arrive to a room filled with birds in the ceiling and walls.

• When I turned on the water, the showerhead fell and hit me on the head. I was so surprised and it hurt so badly that I immediately started crying. My partner ran in and got me a bottle of cold water to hold on my head and from that point on, we left the showerhead on the floor of the tub so it couldn't fall and hit someone again.

There are more complaints but I'm out of space here to type them.

The arrival at the hotel was welcoming and friendly and check-in was smooth. The gate to the hotel parking is
not well designed, you need to get out of the car to open it.
First lunch experience in the lobby for a snack was ok, it took quite while to get the ordered
Salad and a sandwich to be served.
The room is spacious but outdated and needs urgent renovation. The bathroom was a disappointment with
a bathtub and shower in one instead of just a proper shower. Found some hair in the bathtub and the water pressure
was very low that it was almost impossible to take a shower. After reporting that to the Reception I was assured it is going to be fixed.
for the first few minutes of the next shower the water pressure was good but quickly got weaker again. Still better than before
but not as it should be.
The lobby bar area with the sofas was ok and the service very good and friendly but not attentive. When you ordered drinks the receipt was brought along
with it and you were never offered a refill unless you asked for it. And that was the same for all tables and seems common practice. Felt
A bit like you can have only one drink there and some days we would have ordered more drinks but changed our mind as we were not offered it.
I’d suggest to your DOFB to retrain your staff to offer drink refills when a customers glass is nearly empty as this is a considerable loss of revenue opportunity
and service doesn’t feel attentive like that.
As well the bar staff needs some training for the cocktails on the menu. The whiskey sour and pisco sour tasted like mixed with sweet and sour mix rather than fresh lemon juice
And sugar syrup and were not shaken and just poured together and stirred.
The highlight was the restaurant with the dinner buffet. Would we have known it is that good and great value for money, we would have booked half board.
The food selection was good but not great but what made the difference is the freshness and flavor of the food and the daily changing menu. Your chefs are
great and know how to use spices and herbs to create flavorful dishes. That was truly awesome!!!
Service in the restaurant was good and friendly but you lose opportunities to generate more revenue with drinks there as well.
The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant is mediocre and could be improved with little changes such as a small candle on each table and just dim
the lights as they are too bright to feel cozy.
Overall the rooms were a bit disappointing, the public areas were good and with proper lighting would be more comfortable.
The positive difference was made by your staff that were always friendly and happy to assist and the great food in your buffet restaurant (even though I usually
don’t like buffet because most of the time the quality is poor) that was great value for money for 29€.
If you travel for Golf you have several great courses in the area.

We arrrived late but still within the check-in hours, we didn’t receive welcome drink, other guests receive it. We didn’t have soap in the bathroom to wash our hands. Also we had to ask for our room to be cleaned. We found outrageous that guests were booking their sun-beds in front of the pool with the towels and hotel stuff was ok with that (when you go to the pool at 10 a.m there is no place to lay down and enjoy the pool). Also there should be more elevators. The beds in the rooms are very uncomfortable (two beds that were constantly moving on the floor). The rooms are old, so don’t count on modern amenities. Food was nicely displayed but that is it, in polish 2 star hotels the food is more tasty. At the last day, the staff couldn’t understand the room number in English and they told us in front of other guests that we hadn’t bought the breakfast. So if you only speak English it can be challenging. If you like good view and calm surroundings, and don’t count on anything else, this is a hotel for you.

It was the first time in this 4 star hotel. Despite the good location and nice views it didn't match my expectations. They urgently need to work on cleanliness, change matrasses, address issues in the rooms, upgrade their food etc. In general an unrgent refurbishment is needed. Today it's only worth 3 stars.
Upsides: in and outdoor pool, views & location, friendly staff.

The location is brilliant.
The Hotel is sited in a very quiet area and is very relaxing.
The hotel itself is dated.
The rooms are from the 90's with peach walls, washed out artwork and cheap laminate flooring. The furniture and wardrobes are cheap plastic wood. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, aged dirty grouting and chipped tiles. The beds are comfortable but are two singles pushed together and they move apart. The balcony is great and the room size is big but it's not a nice place to spend time. Little things like no coffee making facilities, loud plumbing, cracked paint, rusty steel all make it feel average.
Bad bits:
We paid for a "sea view" and got a low mid hotel pool view with the sea in the background. The management at the desk were dismissive and rude when asked.
The serving staff are great but some of the management staff are just rude.
You have to pay for sun loungers down by the sea even though it's owned and run by the same hotel and issues you a receipt on hotel stationary.
There was a wedding on during our stay and they simple took over the alternative shaded area all day and made no effort to acknowledge the guests who had paid to be there.
The lifts are tiny and break down daily. Use the stairs.
No water coolers except a tiny one in the gym. No ice machine at all.
No room service options at all.
The spa still has the broken door another reviewer mentioned weeks later.

It could be a really lovely hotel given a massive update of decor and attitudes.

*I actually stayed here back in 2015

My wife and I visited this lovely hotel for a week as part of our honeymoon, it was a very last minute booking (I think we booked it 2 days before we went). First of all the location is stunning, a nice peaceful little village surrounded by greenery and the sea. The beach at the hotel although rocky, was beautiful and the water is crystal clear, just be careful not to cut yourself on large hidden rocks underneath the water. We like to get out walking so if you are feeling energetic you can actually walk all the way down the cost to Cala Bona, Cala Millor and S'illot, we done that and bussed it back easily enough. On arrival we had a little wait of maybe half an hour for our room to be ready but that didn't bother us, we just went for a nosey around the hotel and came back up to the reception and were given the key to our room, we were both very impressed with the room. It was large with a beautiful sea view from the balcony. The bathroom was very nice and there was plenty of storage for clothes etc. The staff were kind enough to have left us with a bottle of cava upon arrival at our room. We used the spa 3 or 4 times and honestly felt like a new human being, my wife had recently had surgery and was still in a little bit of pain and discomfort, the thalasso spa helped with this big time. The staff at the hotel were all very helpful and friendly. The pool was lovely, a good size and for the number of guests, didn't ever get too busy. We stayed on a half-board basis and found the food at both breakfast and dinner to be delicious with so many options. There are chefs there that will cook your meat how you like it for you. At the bars there was a wide range of spirits and good stuff at that. This is definitely a place that I would love to return to one day and would highly recommend.
