There was always plenty of choice on all inclusive basis including drinks. The hotel would benefit from providing bottles of water at the bar rather than pouring a glass of water out of the bottle, this would save alot of waste as there are fridges in the room.
The cleaners didn't change our bedding in a week and they making of the bed was poor but nothing we couldn't handle.
We had my Sons hat taken from our room, this was reported but not returned. This was disappointing as we know it could have only been the staff that took it. No one else had access to our room. My son refused to wear the hat and was taken off the shelf above the safe. The wardrobe could do with having doors for privacy of personal belongings so that items weren't on display to be taken so easily. Other people also reported items been faken from rooms whilst we were there.
Overall the hotel and location is great just a shame the theft of something of little value has left disappointing negative thoughts. We did use the safe for valuables but no privacy for clothes or other belongings which let's the hotel down.
My son also said a cleaner entered the room without reason late afternoon with no explanation.
The staff were all excellent throughout our stay. The pool bar staff and the restaurant staff. It was in our opinion a clean hotel which was excellent value. Having read some of the reviews you will always get a bad one or two. If you want 5 star everything pay a few thousand quid more to get that guaranteed. We were happy with the standard of service, the maid service and the room which we stayed in. You had a fridge in your room, bathroom which done the job and air conditioning which is a must.
If we had to mention any cons these could potentially just be regarding the pool/area. The swimming pool itself doesn't have a shallow area. It has an area which is like a raised seating area so if you have children you may want to take note of this. There is a small baby pool with a slide separate though. Also if you came in a larger group sunbeds could be an issue. We don't get up particularly early but people do go down and reserve theirs with towels. As there were only 3 in our group the days we did turn up at lunchtime we manages to get lucky and find some.
Now on the food front there was always plenty of choice. Some food tastes a bit different to home but you are in a foreign country. Breakfast was nice, as well as lunch and the evening meal. The staff were excellent in the restaurant, they were always on hand to clear your plates and offer you drinks. You can also get snacks at the pool at certain times. There was a notice abouts wearing trousers for dinner. I took some jeans but after wearing them on the 1st night I was probably the only one so they weren't needed after that.
On the drinks side of things at the swimming pool bar there is plenty of choice. But if you want a nice cocktail these are around €5 but so worth it. I would definitely recommend 👌
Entertainment wise they do put some on which is different. They also offer wifi at the hotel which is good.
Overall we had a lovely holiday and are considering coming back here next year
During the day you had to be up pretty early to get a sun-bed in the pool area. The pool itself was lovely and warm which was an helpful as you were unable to leave children unsupervised due to the pool being all one depth. Unless you were over 5’7” you were unable stand up anywhere in the main pool therefore unable to play with the children - there is a very small seated / jacuzzi area at one end of the pool which got quite busy and an ankle deep raised area at one side but nothing in between for mid-age children or their under 5’7” parents! There is a very small children's pool with a slide however our youngest (5) preferred not to play in there due to the sheer capacity of children AND adults who took to sitting in there! Food - breakfast was as expected offering cereal, continental and cooked with the bonus of freshly made pancakes much to the delight of our children. Lunch - nice choices however we regularly ate from the snack bar as more accommodating for the family needs. Evening meals VERY repetitive with very little choice or variety for the children and even the adults becoming fed up after a few days ( thank goodness for mcdonalds which was literally next door) one very small improvement could be to offer ice cream as a dessert in the restaurant as other than fresh fruit there was nothing they would eat. While we would be unlikely to stay again with young children we would not rule out as returning as adults only holiday or much older children. Don’t want to end on a negative as we did enjoy our holiday and this was partly due to the stafff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome in particular bar staff Eleni, Anna- Marie and the lifeguard / barman/ waiter Pari who spoke to us regularly and interacted well with the children ( he needs a pay rise as never stopped morning noon or night 😂)
This hotel also has the best Barman in Ayia Napa ( Ilias ) he goes above and beyond for the guests and can’t do enough for you. He was amazing with the kids, really kept them entertained and looked after them. A big shoutout to all the other bar staff too who were also brilliant with ourselves and the kids.
There was always something to eat in the restaurant and George who I believe is the hotel manager was amazing and always welcoming. He knew the kids was fussy eaters and went out of his way to ask the chefs to make the kids chicken nuggets and chips and bought them to the table for them to help themselves every night. He always made room for us all to sit together in the restaurant as there was 13 of us.
The hotel is very clean, our rooms were cleaned and towels changed everyday the cleaners do an amazing job.
All the staff at this hotel really look after the guests and we can’t wait to come back we really didn’t want to come home.
Thanks for a really good holiday!!
The food and drinks in the pool moderate the pie in plastic.
But the point of the case is the towels for the pool. It makes sense that there is a deposit of 20 euros but no charge as a rental of 3 euros each. First time in a hotel I met this thing. And when you want to change the towel, you're charged 3 euros irreversibly.
Unjustified. Because of the quality of the food and drink and especially the towels issue, I kindly put 1 star.
Thank you to George and all his staff members.
Jet2 site states no beach wear can be worn in the restaurant. This means men cannot wear any type of shorts - not just beach shorts. No restrictions on what women can wear. So even though they have paid for all inclusive they cannot go in the restaurant for dinner as they haven't taken trousers. The pool closes at 6pm so no early evening swim if you've been out for the day.
They have been to Cyprus twice previously but stayed at a different hotel. Hopefully this experience won't put them off returning in the future!
Ilias is the best barman we have had at a hotel, he’s amazing at his job and really looks after the guests.
George was brilliant with us in the restaurant, he was very welcoming and always had fresh food cooked for the kids as they was fussy eaters. I think they should probably cater a little bit more for kids when families are booking in.
The pool is very deep so be aware of this If you have children that can’t swim. A shallow end to the pool would be a great addition to this hotel as its a bit of a worry with the kids near the pool.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It’s is literally next to everything. It’s a 5minute walk to the harbour and right next door to the fair. Tommys bar is worth a visit this is just outside the hotel.
If you want a night out in Protaras you can get on a bus outside of the hotel and they run until 4am. You can also jump on the bus down to Nissi beach or a 45minute walk from the hotel.
We can’t wait to come back in 2023
