An overall nice hotel in Ayia Napa. Staff very helpful and polite. We had a room from the renovated area and was really nice, clean and spacious. Pool area was fine and clean, on both of them. We used the one on the side, next to the kids pool. The beach in front of the hotel, Makronisos Beach, was fantastic. There is a small archaeological site at the spot which you can visit.

Asterias is by far our favorite Beach Hotel in Ayia Napa and one of our favourites in the whole Cyprus. The reasons are: Location - Simplicity - Service. We have stayed several times and always loved it. My recommendation is to try to stay for at least 5 days and enjoy the beach life. Asterias is located in the most beautiful beach of Ayia Napa, Makronissos. And even if Makronissos is such an amazing sandy beach, it's one of the less populated because it's a bit out of city centre. Crystal clear blue green waters and golden sand. The hotel is a really beach front one with direct access to the beach. You can enjoy the whole day lying on a Beach bed enjoying drinks and snacks from the hotels beach bar. Asterias is a big hotel with many rooms and many choices. It's an more than 30 years old building, that is recently renovated. The architects added an external metallic cell to protect the main building from heat and add more shadow to the rooms. The decoration is nice and you quickly feel comfortable and welcomed. The rooms are nice and clean and the view from the sea view ones is fantastic. The people working in the hotel are extremely polite and helpful. The pool is nice with a nice view even if the beach is so beautiful that I don't see why someone should even consider swimming there. Another great surprise is the hotel spa. A big indoor pool, steam room, sauna and jakuzzi. Many different treatments (Aromatotherapy, Indian Massage orThai Massage etc) in great prices. My wife and I enjoyed many their service several times and have always felt fantastic. There are some sea view rooms with private pool and jacuzzi. Never stayed there but we will definitely try it sometimes. Hotel prices are logical and for what you buy it's probably the best money spent in Ayia Napa. That's why the only problem is that the hotel is fully booked every year so try to book really early. Even months before your holidays. It's a great experience worth living.

We got married on the 26th August 2020 at Asterias beach. Our wedding has been a bit of a journey after the Thomas Cook collapse and having to reschedule due to COVID-19. We had a lot of doubts about the wedding taking place because of the restrictions in place. However, we flew out to Cyprus on the 22nd August and the wedding happened on the 26th August. And what can I say? Pure perfection! Firstly Asterias beach hotel is a beautiful hotel and the rooms were to a high specification. Secondly, the venues are idyllic. We had the ceremony at the golden sands ceremony venue. This venue is set aback from the sea and the views while getting married are amazing. It is covered slightly with canopies so guests are not in direct sunlight too much. The level of detail and thought put into the venue is first class. The white wooden venue really stands out against the greenery, clear blue skies and clear blue sea. The level of care used by the maids to set up the venue is exceptional. We even noticed the day before the ceremony, the gardeners and maintenance were preparing for the day. I really feel the care attention is genuine. There is even a love heart cut into the grass area next to the golden sands venue. Little touches like this made the day extra special. We used the Golden Sands royal gardens for our cocktail reception. I would 100% recommend having a cocktail reception as this allows everybody to interact and breaks up the formalities of the day. Again, this venue was stunning. It was spacious, open and well maintained. We hired Neo, the very talented saxophonist to play during our ceremony and the cocktail reception. I would 100% recommend him as he is well worth the money and really makes your day feel that little bit more special. Finally, for our evening reception, we used Koralli rooftop. Wow! It’s amazing. It’s spacious with beautiful views of Makronissos beach and sea. The venue was beautifully set up and because of its location, you felt VIP. The bar staff and waiters were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We had the barbecue buffet and the food was sensational. Absolutely delicious. It was set up beautifully. We had concerns as at the time of our wedding, Cyprus laws prohibited dancing due to the pandemic. However we decided to keep the DJ and this was the right decision as it’s created the atmosphere. Being British, we love a good dance on the dance floor, however in my honest view, not having a dancing floor did not impact the night at all. We had a dance around near the tables in very small groups and we were still able to have our first dance. Overall, the venues you can hire at asterias beach are world class, beautifully presented and are worth the money. The next morning, we were provided with breakfast in bed. This was a selection of full English, toast, pastries, meats and cheeses, fresh juices, filtered coffee and a bottle of champagne. None of this could of been possible without one special lady. Suzanne the wedding manager at the hotel is beyond words. I have never met somebody more interested in providing a world class service. Her attention to detail, her organised and her communication with us were brilliant. Even when things went wrong during the 2 years of planning, she was there for us. Even when things didn’t go our way while at the hotel, she sorted it the best she can. She goes over and above. All I would say is trust Suzanne. She has great ideas and guides you to come to the right decisions. Yes, it’s our wedding but this lady has been the business for many years and knows what she talking about. Suzanne, words can’t describe how thankful we were to have you as our wedding coordinator. You have been a constant for us. Thank you to all the staff, from maids, gardeners, waiters and Suzanne. I have no suggestions on how it could of been improved as to us, it was magically perfect.

As a young couple i can only recommend this hotel. Even tho there are lots of families with kids it was very calm and a relaxed atmosphere. The food was decent and could have been bether especially when it comes to the proces. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The guy who runs the outdoor pool activities is a bundle of friendlyness and enthusiasm. Great guy but unbeatable in boccha 🙈. The pool area, the beach and the rooms were great. Thanks a lot for the suprise in our room do to our honeymoon. Very much appreciated it.

This is a fantastic hotel, ideal for a family vacation..Me and my husband and two children aged 5 and 6, returned home today after a three nights stay at Asterias Beach Hotel in Ayia Napa. Our stay was a trully delightfull and this is why I decided to comment on TripAdvisor for the 1st time: For a start, we had booked a family room on the ground floor, as we thought it might be easier getting about with the kids, but After our arrival we realized that the balcony view was the exterior wall of the hotel and that our room was not on the renovated section. As soon as my husband addressed the matter to the reception staff, they gave as a choice of a free charge upgrade to either a room on the 1st floor overlooking one of the pools or a room on the 4th floor with sea view. They actually gave as keys to both rooms so we could choose which was quite fun and after viewing both, we selected the one on the 4th floor because of the breathtaking sea views..The hotel is extremely clean, spotless I can say and obvious that the hotel follows all the protocols and health measures to prevent expansion of the covid_19 pandemic, which was one of my concerns before deciding to go on holiday this year. The hotel has a beautiful atmosphere and offers many options to its guests..There are 2 large pools (one ideal for families as there is a kids pool with water toys close to it and a playground) and a coral beach with crystal clean turquoise waters that impressed me more than the one in Atlanthis of Nassau Bahamas where me and my husband had stayed on our honeymoon 7 years ago. The food was exquisite, the least that I can say with a wide selection of gastronomic dishes for both lunch and dinner. It actually felt that we were eating at a 5 star hotel rather than a 4 star and even though we had booked half board, next time we will deffinently go for full board.. The staff were extremely friendly and polite, always smiling and go out of their way to satisfy your needs..An example was Mr Victoras at the reception, who even though we decided to eat more than an hour later after the room service had closed in the evening, he went out of his way and arranged it for us.It was also great because of the kids club operating three times a day and giving parents a chance to have a break. I would like to thank animator Lindsay who both my children adored for going out of her way to make their vacation unforgettable..I loved the aqua aerobics and aqua zumba sessions performed by Iulia at the pool..Her energy and enthusiasm was inspiring.A true entertainer and we had amazing fun...We would like to thank the management team of the hotel for their great work and we will deffinently visit again next year!!!
