#16 of 109 hotels in Ayia Napa
Travelers' Choice
The award-winning Olympic Lagoon Resort Agia Napa has now been extended and upgraded to a five-star luxury hotel, offering its guests an even more enjoyable holiday in Cyprus. Both the new and the fully renovated rooms and suites provide luxury and comfort in different types of accommodation to match the needs of families with children or couples seeking privacy. The Hotel-within-a-Resort concept offers couples the option to book adults-only accommodation and enjoy a variety of areas for maximum privacy and tranquility. The resort’s seven restaurants offer inspirational options, while serving great food. Four indoor and outdoor bars/coffee shops serve snacks and refreshments in between meals, as our favourite new gelateria. One of the most exciting venues is the new indoor entertainment arena, where guests can enjoy a daily programme of spectacular evening shows. The perfect finale to end a day in and around the resort’s five themed lagoon-type swimming pools including the lazy river.

Been ages since we went (oct 20) but just never got round to a review. We went during covid and in spite of this had an amazing time. Every precaution was taken to ensure we were safe, and everyone said they felt secure. The food, entertainment, drinks are superb and the food was the best ive had in any all inclusive. The roast beef, pork were melt in the mouth...wow! The staff are insanely attentive, polite and always smiling. An absolute credit to the hotel. Special mention to Dianna and Olga who were so polite, hardworking and had drinks to us in minutes! Lovely beaches a short walk away and so much to do for our 6 year old who loved every aspect from the pools , to the shows and beyond. Only two gripes. One was our room faced onto the main road. We did ask to move a couple of times, but unfortunately the hotel was full as lots of trips to Turkey were cancelled and moved to our hotel. Whilst the room was lovely, the road noise was disturbing. Im not a serial complainer type, but please look into triple glazing. Other gripe wasnt with the hotel but other guests who attempted to flout the covid rules. Why? Just wind your neck in and follow the rules. Despite this the hotel still is deserving of 5 stars!

Dear Vbugsy1862, We more than highly appreciate receiving your amazing review. Thank you for taking note of the precaution and measures implemented around the hotel, as health and safety measures continue to be of the highest importance in all our resorts. Our culinary team will be overjoyed to note this wonderful feedback publicly on TripAdvisor, along with all the hotel teams who work hard to provide the maximum in quality service to our valued guests and do go the extra mile to ensure that we exceed our guest expectations. Dianna and Olga will be thrilled for the mention and are indeed a credit to our hotel. We thank you for your understanding of the room type and rest assured we would have done our utmost to meet your request had upgraded rooms been available. We do encourage our guests to ensure that they study the room types and views available before booking. Regardless we do hope you enjoyed the ample amenities and facilities available in the guest room. Last year, in particular, we did urge our guests not to flout the covid rules. This is, of course, at the personal responsibility of each guest. It does seem that these safety measures will continue to be with us, around the world for some time yet, hence we do hope future guests will respect others and follow the regulations for the safety of all and as per the governmental mandates at the time of our future operations. Your 5 bubble ranking has been received with great pride, especially at this time of uncertainty affecting the whole world, we do hope to be able to welcome you in the future, where rest assured we will provide you with our utmost in 5-star services. Keep well, sending you sunny regards from Cyprus, George Pallis General Manager

Having had many holidays and cruises cancelled like others due to Covid we booked this one only a couple of weeks before due to Turkey being taken off the travel corridor. Despite the hassle and stress of getting the tests done it was worth it. I'm not a lover of AI hotels normally but this was a Fantastic resort!! Clean, well equipped rooms with comfy beds. The pools were brilliant and the lazy river an instant hit with everyone. I loved watching the daily weddings from the river. Food is superb in the al a carte restaurants - particularly the Greats and the Orchid. The american diner is probably the poorest choice of places to eat. The steak is not great and the cheesecake I just don't know what they were doing with it but it was like rubber. The Greats however if your lucky enough to get in each week was amazing with everything our party had on the menu being 10/10. The waiter there Angelos who also works at the Garibaldi is a credit to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The Orchid restaurant food is very tasty and fresh. Again it has a fantastic waiter with Raj - lovely man. In fact the staff are probably the biggest asset this hotel has given they all got the news the hotel had to close early whilst we were there due to Cyprus being added to the quarantine list, they continued to serve and smile. The entertainment is the best I have seen in a hotel - usually its pretty average and cheesy. The team worked hard to put professional shows together and delivered archery lessons, etc in the day. In particular Eleanor and Sarah were warm, friendly and entertaining in addition to being extremely talented. I don't normally leave reviews mentioning people as I usually don't take much notice of names unless the service is bad but that just shows how great this hotel and its people are worthy of mentions.

Dear TheTorrington5, It is more than an honour to receive such a wonderful review in these current times. Your feedback has been received with great pride by all the management and staff. Our culinary team will be thrilled o receive such constructive feedback and have taken on board your comment with regards to the diner, which will be passed on to our Executive Chef to reevaluate our food items (thank you for bringing this to our attention). Angelos and Raj along with many of our team members have been a huge hit with our most valued guests and who have all been recognized for the extra attention given during this year's covid operations. Our Kanika All-Stars performers managed to achieve fantastic reviews this year (especially Elena and Sarah) and their shows and daily entertainment activities were very well presented and appreciated by our guests of all ages. Indeed, we fully agree with you recognition goes a long way and we are more than grateful to you for taking the time to upload your TripAdvisor review. Your feedback means a lot not only to the Olympic Lagoon Resort Management but your 5 bubble ranking to us is considered a huge achievement. Thank you! It would be more than a pleasure to welcome you back in the future. Keep well, stay safe with warm regards from a sunny Cyprus, George Pallis General Manager

We visited this hotel as we were unable to self isolate when Turkey was taken off the travel corridor. We upgraded our room and it was very nice but no separate bed for our large 10 year old only a sofa. It’s a very good looking hotel with excellent service throughout the week from the girl’s serving at the lobby bar. It was very very busy at half term and space was an issue on the family side. Weather was fantastic but felt the a la cartes were a little disappointing. My highlight was the fresh pasta man at lunch absolutely awesome. We ate in the American Dinner when we weren’t in an a la carte and had excellent service. Really pleased we visited this hotel and can see why there are a lot of excellent reviews. Many Thanks Neil Alison and Jack Armstrong

Dear nella86, We were happy to hear that you opted for the Olympic Lagoon Resort, after your original holiday was cancelled, something which is affecting many family vacations this year and seems to be ongoing in this sad situation the globe is facing. Your very nice review on TripAdvisor has been greatly received, especially in these unprecedented times. Indeed some of our beds for people sharing rooms are specially designed sofa beds to match the sizing of a normal single bed. We were saddened to read that our a la carte venues did not meet your expectations , however happy to read that this was made up with the highlights from our pasta station member who is indeed absolutely awesome and that you enjoyed the Rock n Roll Diner. The Olympic teams and I, thank you tenfold for your very kind words. Hoping to welcome you back in the future. Keep well, stay safe. George Pallis General Manager

Booked with Tui at the last minute 3 bookings later due to cancellations because of Covid 19. We flew on wednesday and up until Tuesday evening werent sure if we would be going as our Covid results had not come back.Flight out was different as there were only 12 passengers on the plane so it felt like a private jet. Any way when we finally arrived at the hotel we were well looked after by all the staff who work so hard in these trying times.Hotel well run and very clean plenty of sanitiser, temp checks at meal times and gloves provided for collection of food from the buffet. The food was good I enjoy most foods and tastes where as my wife is a little more careful what she eats but she tried and enjoyed most things. The pools were clean and well managed especially sun bed allocation which works well also clean beach towels every day.The poolside bar had a well stocked large selection of drinks and again as with the rest of the hotel well run. We spent a part of most of our days by the pools nothing nicer than to cool off in the pool after sitting cooking in the sun. Entertainment was lower key than usual due to covid but the Queen act was great. Our flight home was one of those awkward times of the day and due to my wives medical condition we really needed to keep the room for most of the day,we explained the situation to reception who were so helpful and made provision for us to keep the room until our departure time.

Dear B9857LOmarkb, It was an honour to be chosen for your last minute holiday and can fully understand the stress caused in waiting for results. On the other hand we were happy to read that our teams looked after you well and for recognizing the hard efforts implemented by our staff to ensure not only the fact that we meet our guests expectations but ensure protocols are followed to guarantee our visitors health and safety. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the Queen Act performed by Minus 1 a very popular band in Cyprus. Thank you for noting the efforts made by our team to ensure that your wife was as comfortable as possible on her last day with the provisions made by or front desk team. Your 5 bubble ranking at this current time, is a huge recognition for the team and our award for meeting your expectations. Thank you - Thank you - Thank you! Keep well, stay safe. With the warmest of sunny regards from Cyprus, George Pallis General Manager
