Situated right on the beach of Cyprus's east coastal city of ayia Napa, this property offers great views of the blue waters of Mediterranean. The beach is just a few meters away from the hotel and the bay here is suitable for swimming. The clear blue waters offer great swimming conditions for any kind of swimmer. The views from the balcony are amazing and one has to see the sunset from the balcony to experience it. The hotel also offers good breakfast and one of the nights we stayed there also had a small music program as well. The staff are very friendly and courteous. It also has a good parking space for cars.

We stayed at the Alion Beach Hotel for a long weekend in July 2020 during the global coronavirus pandemic. There were travel restrictions and other control measures in place in Cyprus and at the hotel itself. Social distancing and other measures to restrict the spread of the virus we're being observed at the hotel. Set in its own well kept beachside grounds, the Alion Beach Hotel exceeded our expectations. What made it so special was the staff. The customer facing front of house team were exceptional. Each and every person who we came into contact with was very welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. We didn't have any overt contact with the back-of-house team members (eg, the chef, cooks, maintenance etc); nonetheless, it was self-evident they were equally exceptional because the food we ate at Kalimera, Symposium, The Deck and Ipanema restaurants was delicious. Other facilities that we used such as the well equipped gym were awesome. My only minor dislike was that the air conditioning in our room (408) was noisy at night.

Rooms: Clean, but dark lighting and worn down. It definitely needs TLC. Horrible water pressure in the shower, so getting soap out of your hair and oil off your body takes quite some time. I asked management to look at it twice and nothing changed. I assume all rooms are the same. I paid extra for panoramic views. Big mistake as the balcony on the panoramic view rooms don’t actually face the ocean. Balcony is small. Not soundproofed windows so expect to wake up early. Even on Easter Sunday the gardener and the construction workers next door are working.
Food: Breakfast buffet is small with not a lot of choices. Pool bar menu are ok, food is decent. Dinner buffet is small with below average food. If you are used to 5 star buffets with live cooking stations this not a hotel for you.
Staff: Friendly
Spa: Friendly staff, deep tissue massage is definitely not deep tissue even though you pay extra for it and prices are strap. I don’t think these are trained massage therapists.
Beach/pool area: Beach is very nice. Pool is small and is surrounded by the guests eating at the pool bar. You can’t lounge by the pool. You get assigned sun beds for the entire stay, which I found very strange. I would have liked to move around every day to get a different view.
If you have never stayed at a 5 star, you can be fooled to think this is one. However if you are accustomed to 5 star hotels you will definitely be disappointed. I will definitely not be back.
I gave it a 4 star but I’m not sure if that’s a tad too high.

After our flight to Cyprus with the additional COVID checks at the airport, and an hour-long bus ride to Ayia Napa we had a warm welcome by the front office staff. Throughout our stay they were helpful. Especially Natasha. If it was a dinner reservation, calling a cab, or organizing more towels for our room, she made sure we had everything we needed.
We also really enjoyed the breakfast. Starting a day with such a view, the good and fresh food that was being served and the delightful staff: what else do you want?
It was really reassuring to see the manager walking around and engaging in conversation with the guests to make sure everybody enjoying their stay.
The hotel made us feel really safe due to the additional hygiene measures to stop the spreading of the Corona Virus.
For our next trip to Cyprus, we will definitely consider the Alion Beach.

Stayed for 10 days at the Alion Beach in Ayia Napa. We booked this hotel thanks to a suggestion of our Swiss Travel Agent (yes in 2021 we still use a Travel Agency ). His suggestion was perfect as this hotel was more than expected. Ok is not a true 5 stars like the Intercontinental in London or a major 5 stars of a big chain but this hotel is for sure a 4 stars plus in my opinion. Another advantage is that this hotel is not a big one with 400 or 300 rooms but just 100 rooms that in Covid times is for sure a big plus. Location is top: on a WONDERFUL beach but only 15 minutes on foot from downtown Ayia Napa. The beach in front of the hotel is managed by the municipality but you pay only 7.50 EUR a day for the Umbrella and 2 sunbeds. If you want to stay in the garden the hotel provide you two sunbeds at a specific place for the duration of the stay: so no need to wake up at 7 am to find a place: you have it for the whole stay. Food was top: great breakfast buffet and also for the dinner- Every evening they change the theme (Greek, tex-mex, international, Italian, etc.) We booked a sea view room (strongly recommended as the sea is amazing in front of the hotel) and got an upgrade to a premium room (corner rooms). Thank you Alion for this upgrade! Room was ok also in size but furniture looked more like a 4 stars hotel. Excellent products in the bathroom. Swimming pool is a little bit small but with an amazing sea never used. Staff is everywhere in the hotel friendly and helpful in various languages. I would recommend this hotel for these reasons: location (on the beach!!), staff, food and size of the hotel. Sure again in Cyprus and sure again at the Alion Beach (maybe in 2023 I was thinking to come back!!).

Excellent!! Ultra friendly staff which make you feel like 'home' and make your experience even more pleasant. The location is amazing , and although the beach might be crowded and noisy you get to enjoy all that in privacy and tranquility. The breakfast is amazing, fresh and offering looooads of options for all breakfast enthusiasts! The rooms are clean and the wifi coverage - and quality , is super! I have to mention the staff ..again, since they are so helpful and kind and they make you feel so welcome. They always greet you with a smile and are more than willing to accompany any need you might have. I strongly recommend Alion Beach Hotel, if you are looking for a quick relaxing getaway or even a longer holiday. Quality, value for money and serenity, with amazing views and very convenient location! Although this not an adults only hotel, its more suitable for adults without children..where you can really relax and unwind!! Five Stars Alion! Thank you for making our weekend feel so good! We have just returned from the most perfect week ever at this Hotel, it's kept absolutely spotless and the Staff are all very friendly. We were made to feel so welcome upon arrival even though we arrived late on the night, we were helped with bags and shown to our room, the complimentary drinks and tray of sandwiches in the room were an added bonus 😀 we had a sea view room from which the view was simply stunning! The room was spotless and plenty big enough with a large comfortable double bed and a comfy single for our daughter, toiletries in the bathroom were replaced when needed and the use of beach towels and additional bath towels was great.
There is a good choice at breakfast and again sitting looking over the beautiful sea view and pool is just the perfect way to start the day, the staff at breakfast were very tentative, it's typical buffet but the staff go out of their way to say Good morning, clear away plates and serve you tea/coffee etc,
You can book sunbeds from reception for the week so pick your perfect spot and relax for your stay, there is also waiter service at your sunbed 😁
The pool and garden area is immaculate just like the rest of the hotel! the pool bar serves a great choice of snacks, meals, drinks and deserts. The food was superb all week, 10 out of 10 every meal and a meal at The Deck is a must but book in advance 👌
The hotel is right on the beach, a long stretch of sandy beach with crystal clear water, you can access all the usual water sports and its just a short walk to the harbour, there are plenty of beach bars, shops and restaurants around the hotel, it really is in a perfect position, Ayai Napa is about a 20 minute walk from the hotel, we did this once but it wasn't a place we would go again!! The fair is good however!
It was my 40th birthday whilst away and I was made to feel like a princess! I had a cake bought to the room and complimentary drinks from the Manager who is an absolute Gentleman 🥰 We booked a private dinner by the beach on the evening, this was such a beautiful experience, George, our waiter, was perfect throughout the meal, he couldn't do enough for us, it's an evening we will all remember forever!
There is so much attention to detail and personal touches at this Hotel it is 100% worthy of the 5* we have been to some lovely places but The Alion go above and beyond, the staff all work incredibly hard, our whole holiday was just absolutely amazing from start to finish, we will definitely be back next year!! Thank you for such a perfect holiday, we couldn't have wished for more!

From covered parking to personal sunbeds, from carefully chosen decor and furniture to the sound level and evening lighting of the pool, Alion offers a 5-star experience that exceeds the usually pretentious or impersonal hospitality of its peers.
The rooms and hotel interior is simple and cozy, free from ornamental distractions. Hence the beautiful landscape of the blue sea, fuchsia bougainvilleas and local flora is accentuated even more.
Extra precautions are taken due to the pandemic and all personnel takes the extra mile to make you feel safe. Natasha at the reception was superhelpful, Mr. Antonis at breakfast and dinner gives a unique local touch to your dining experience. I wish I could name every member of the staff who has greeted and served us.
The beach in front of the hotel is not crowded at all. At check-in you choose the sunbeds you wish to have during your stay. This creates a stress free experience, as you don't need to wake up early and sprint to reserve a sunbed with your towel.
Food is of truly excellent quality. Compliments to the chef!! The hotel participates at a sustainable tourism initiative that, among other environmental actions, serves local produce and dishes at breakfast. This is particularly appreciated even by us, locals, who can't find traditional delights such as kidonopasto that easily.
Whatever the time, you can see the hotel manager walking around, interacting with guests and staff, taking care of important matters, as well as all these details that matter.

What can I say! This hotel offers the highest of standards something evident from the very moment you step into its reception! The rooms are very nicely decorated and the bathrooms are renovated. It can boast stunning views as well as the perfect location due to it being on the beach. It’s cuisine is also a must and worth a mention! Must try ipanema, the hotels Peruvian restaurant! We arrived early in the morning and the receptionist invited us to have a complimentary breakfast. Our room had a lovely sea view and had recently been updated. The buffet breakfast was small but of a good standard and the hot food options changed daily. The bar staff were very attentive and the evening meals of a high standard and good value. A relaxing hotel to unwind and recharge your batteries.

Yes we do have ch Nguni rooms which can be used for changing after the beach. You are welcome to use the facilities ( sunbeds etc) until the departure time
Hi Mrs Carlos, t’as of course is possible to dine at the restaurant and charge your room. And yes normally as from the middle of April the weather is suitable for swimming.
There are more places to choose from in the Ayia Napa area.
