Service is excellent, with the friendly staff always ready to help you out if you ever needed anything or give you great ideas if you’re unsure of what to do for the day.
There’s an on-site restaurant that offers affordable meals prepped by Chef Tom Briggs. The menu includes open tacos, burgers, and salads, with free breakfast options ranging from fresh fruits, pastries, bread, and an egg station.

Extremely basic hotel don't be fooled by the photographs. Rooms are tiny. Medusis beach club is next door and you can hear the loud music until late which is not ideal if you are after a relaxing getaway. The staff were rude and uninterested. The breakfast process which they have enforced due to covid is absolutely ridiculous - one member of staff serves the continental buffet whilst all other guests stand close together in a queue in the middle of the restaurant! The location is good however having previously stayed at the Conrad (600m down the road) I would 100% recommend paying that bit extra to stay there as it is exceptional!

Dear DK290, Thank you for your recent stay and feedback. It is disappointing to read that you did not enjoy your stay, Medusis is near the hotel and is open for about 4 weeks of the year. We are constantly in contact with them over their music levels and based on their low demand for the past 2 years we are not expecting them to be around much longer. The standard rooms of the hotel are 22sqm which of course are smaller than the Conrad however the price is also not comparable as well as we are a 4 star boutique hotel and they are a 5 star hotel. We have several different room types on property which go up to 80sqm. I am very sorry to hear that you found the team rude and disinterested, this is an unusual comment and I can assure you this will be investigated. We really enjoyed our stay in this stylish 'Palm Springs' vibe hotel. We were a family with two older teenage daughters. The service from staff was excellent and the breakfasts truly delicious. The pool area is very relaxing with a lovely outdoor eating terrace with staff on hand to serve from the beautiful bar area.
Rooms were cleaned very well by friendly smiley ladies daily with a large environmentally friendly pack of water left. I asked for an extra suitcase stand and within minutes it arrived.
Hiring bikes was very easy from the hotel and was a 15 mins cycle to the beach/boardwalk where you could cycle much further afield on the beautiful boardwalk which goes all the way to Faro airport. The boardwalk is a real asset to the area. We saw turtles and wild flamingos which was very special.
We cycled to the shopping centre but walking to it would be an option also with some care.
Rooms are styled minimally in good taste with quality fittings and quality toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and a small fridge and kettle was in our room. QDL is a stylish resort with some fantastic restaurants. The weather was very kind to us which obviously helps.
We would love to stay again especially at a time to enjoy the outdoor film screenings.

This hotel is clean, the staff are excellent and the service is very good- they cannot do enough for you. The rooms are basic but clean and anything extra I required (a kettle for baby bottles) was brought straight away. The location is good for local restaurants and bars, very close to Quinta do Lago by car. I wouldn’t recommend walking as there is no footpath but Ubers are reasonably priced and arrive quickly. The pool is slightly heated so it was a lovely temperature for the baby to go swimming. The gym is great and the spa area is lovely. The food at the hotel is very nice, it’s priced very similarly to all the local restaurants and bars which is on the higher side but not extortionate. We rented a car which the reception kindly sorted for us which was more reasonably priced than when I had been looking online prior to our holiday. The hotel is no frills but pleasant and fit for purpose.

We have just returned from a wonderful 9 night stay at this lovely Palm Springs inspired hotel! The staff are v friendly always cheery and nothing too much trouble .. all the staff wear masks and the sanitising was v high stands all over the hotel .. we had a suite which was nice and roomy .. very comfortable and lots of storage could do with some more hooks and little better lighting but minor things .. hotel v clean we also hired bikes to go to QDL shopping.. the food at the hotel is of a really good standard + you must try the film night! Overall we would stay here again.. lovely atmosphere great staff and food and good location !

This is my fourth time staying at the wonderful Magnolia and it never disappoints! This time round it was myself and 7 fellow golfers who stayed for 4 nights B+B and I thought some of them would never leave because of the very tasty pancakes cooked to order at breakfast!. Brilliant staff all over the hotel, special mention to Thiago who helped us with restaurant advice and Claudia who helped me with the golf booking and didnt mind answering all the emails I sent, I find the location perfect and if you like to walk/cycle/explore than at the gate turn left for Quinta do Lago, right for Vale Do Lobo and nearly straight on for the beach, rooms perfect and cleaned every day to a very high standard, our group were delighted with the Magnolia and that was a relief as I had highly recommended it and the golf courses in the area. i'll be back again at the end of July for holidays and hopefully another golf trip in April 2023 Mark Sheehan

Really lovely hotel with nice rooms, good pool area and delicious breakfast. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Probably better as more of a base than a hotel you would spend a whole week lounging around at. We were here for four nights and it suited us well as we were off out doing different things each day, but I would have been bored if we had just been sat around the pool all day. Most of the guests seemed to be on large group holidays or golfing trips.
We were disappointed that the complementary bikes were unavailable as the surrounding roads have no pavement so it is difficult to get to anything outside the hotel by walking. The first day we walked to the beach which took around an hour along roads were you are walking in the dust. We ended up paying €54 euros to rent two bikes and helmets to get to the beach. In hindsight,although the bikes had novelty value, it was cheaper to get an uber which was less than €5 each way.
However all in all we had a really good stay. Breakfast was a highlight with poached eggs and pancakes cooked to order and lots of other choice too. Pool area and hotel were really clean and I really like the style they had gone for.

Myself and 20 or so friends had the delight of staying here for a few days to celebrate my 40th. And also what turned out to be one last hurrah before lockdown.
Absolutely loved the place and cannot speak highly enough of the staff who were working there during the beginnings of a very difficult time.
The service and assistance that was provided to all our guests to get us around the resort and to various lunches was second to none. And the help they provided to put us all up for dinner around the pool on the Saturday evening with the DJ and bar service was just what I wanted to see off the evening in style.
I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to our return!

A true testament of good staff selection and training ... for the welcome at reception which because of the current conditions were firm about policy but delivered in such a friendly and cooperative way to the easy check in process .
To say that my son and I were impressed with each member of staff we encountered is an understatement the young girl from Skerries a real find , the hotel and facilities were spotless and overall a well-run Hotel .
I have stayed here many times over the years and impressed each time .

Whilst this is not my first stay here, and will not be my last either, it is the first time I have left a review, not because the previous stays were not worthy.
Excellent staff, all very attentive and ever so polite.
The General Manager Tiago checked our group (golfers) in which was swift and hassle free.
All of the staff are lovely and particular special mention must go to Kyana for her service around the pool and bar.
Some reviews mention room size? They are ample in size, spotlessly clean, housekeeping was great.
Pool is heated and the temperature of the pool is constant whether it’s 7am or 7pm.
Congratulations to Tiago and his team and thank you for making out stay not just comfortable but very pleasurable.
Would highly recommend Magnolia.
