...Pedro is a fantastic barman- efficient and so friendly and nice and always had a smile and a laugh!... You really need a car in the area to get out of the Quinta bubble and explore further afield and go to some lovely villages with restaurants that are kinder on the pocket!...

...The area is a lovely part of the Algarve and highly recommended, if but a little more expensive than other parts of the Algarve...

Dont stay here, the one bed apartment 060 was dark, old, smelled musty, and had the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. I booked a double and got a twin, when I communicated frustration to the staff they were unhelpful... Nothing "four star" about this stay...

The food in the cafe was badly presented and overpriced for what you get as we were all still hungry when we left... Staff in the restaurant were also lovely but the price took the good out of going there...

The units are well maintained and modern... Cab or driving services are expensive to get to other locations in the area (eg Loule, Faro, Quartiera, designer outlet, etc)... Taxis are usually cheaper than the driving service that is offered by the resort...

My wife and I had a weeks holiday at Vilar do Golf commencing on 13 October, this was an exchange arranged through RCI. We arrived at 1pm our apartment was ready for use by 2.30pm, it was well presented, very clean and in a great location with a SW facing garden/patio... We have had many holidays at this resort in the past 10 years, the staff and management should be congratulated for maintaining such an excellent standard of service...

...The staff were amazing in every way from sorting out our Airport Transfer which the people we booked with originally couldn't help with even though they were responsible for the 12-hour flight delay. The resort was clean and every staff took pride in being helpful and were always friendly...

On arrival we were given assistance to our apartment by lovely young lady on reception duty, during our stay we had a full week of relaxation, which was our plan... Airport Transfer was excellent, even our driver was waiting for us on our delayed flight Thank you to all staff at Vilar Do Golf who made our stay a fully relaxing holiy...

We were welcome nicely and receive an upgrade for our accommodation without asking for it... We are just back from a wonderful stay at Vilar Do Golf... The grounds and pools are immaculate and the villas have been refurbished to an exceptional level... The main restaurant onsite, Il Vero is fantastic and an upmarket Italian but you can also pop in for a drink too... The small shop onsite has a wonderful bakery so you can grab your fresh breads, croissants, pasteries and pastel de nata's in the morning... Best to drive 5 minutes up the road to Pingo Doce at Quinta shopping for the big shop though... The pool bar introduced a happy hour this year which was very welcome!... Pedro is a fantastic barman- efficient and so friendly and nice and always had a smile and a laugh!... Great to hear the playground is going to be refurbished later in the year which is needed... You really need a car in the area to get out of the Quinta bubble and explore further afield and go to some lovely villages with restaurants that are kinder on the pocket!... But there are beautiful restaurants in the area too and a few that are walking distance...

We've been staying here for more than 10 years and the resort never disappoints. From the meet and great front of house team to all the staff around the resort, the service levels are excellent... Walking the garden of the resort that surround the villas and apartments is a treat in itself... The on-site Jafers mini market is very handy as well...

Still one of our fave resorts in QDL. Lovely large villa's with a great little shop on site... Pool is a touch cold and there were no activities when we stayed but hopefully they will start for the summer soon...

The on site supermarket has everything you need to eat between breakfast at Cafe NOA, or an evening meal at the on site Italian restaurant... We did not have a car but found the hotels shuttle service great... It dropped us by the boardwalk where you can walk across a boardwalk bridge to the beach, stopping at Gigi’s restaurant... As we enjoy walking we walked back from these restaurants, however if you time it right you can get the shuttle back, or if not call a taxi... The swimming pool area is very pleasant, lots of sun beds, nice pools or an in door pool if you prefer... There is a pool bar that serves drinks & light snacks... The resort is beautifully kept, lots of beautiful trees & shrubs, it’s also amazingly quiet, just bird song & the occasional golf buggy... Our 2 bedroom villa (no.12) was close to reception & the supermarket...

You will find a small supermarket, a cafe, restaurant and clinic on the complex and of course one of the many, beautiful golf coursed in Quinta do Lago together with club house, golf store etc... This is a well maintained and beautiful area... Explore the local beach and the many walks on offer...

Arriving at Vilar do Golf you are made to feel extremely welcome... Although we aren’t golfers we did play mini golf and had a great time... The clubhouse and ability to be able to sit and watch the pros whilst relaxing is a bonus...

Vilar do Golf is a delightful place to stay for some winter sun... The bed was comfortable, the indoor pool warm and clean, the grounds well kept... The on site supermarket was adequate so long as you went further afield to get fresh meat and fish... The car park by the beach is free early in the year and there are some good walks and bird watching opportunities from there...

Vila do golf is a beautiful holiday village ,perfect to get away and relax ,or spend your time golfing,or walking. Excellent accommodation and very friendly and helpful staff...
