Location is excellent on the water right opposite the big hill (with some snow on top even in July) where you can do zip-line (I don’t dare) and walk on the historic Sjøgata. I did walk up Helgelandstrappa, 3000 steps up to get a great view of the hotel and town. Hotel dates from 1794 and has been with the same family 1885. One of the historic gems of northern Norway for sure. Only disadvantage was the tiny shower in our small bathroom.

This hotel really sticks out in Norway. Its like a family home, with colections of art, furniture, and relics from old times. It looks small and coshy, but its spacy. Food is great and has a very unique touch (I was not able to find out where the cooks are from. Not Norwegians I guess) Each room was a bit differently stiled. Also the hotel is odeally situated, near the river and the historical section of the town.

Stayed for 3 nights in January. Great service and pleasant staff, room was a little compact and noise from kitchen was apparent until 11.30pm and again from 6am. Avoid rooms on second floor. My colleagues on upper floors had much better experience

Nice family owned kind of hotel. Some of the rooms are really nice as they are quite new. Breakfast is good but i recommend their own beer. The restaurant was also nice. There is a zip-line close by. Would be nice to have the time to try it.

A family-driven hotel with a superb location at the fjord, extremely nice staff, good rooms, excellent food. Although a quite big hotel the atmosphere is just like if you are at home. Highly recommended👍
