If you aim for the North Cape, you will need accommodation somewhere near. The Scandic Honningsvåg is just that! A "pass through" on the way. Rooms are quite small and not "cosy" at all. Restaurant is noisy and you feel, as if you were in a factory-cafeteria. The hotel is extremely central, right at the harbour.

Location excellent. Staff very good. Breskfast also good. But rooms for sure needs some remodeling. It felt very old hotel room. And why in a such small room is quite a huge table? Nobody really needs it. Please, get rid of those tables. Next time I shall be in Honningsvåg I shall find some other accommodation untill some remodeling is...

The tiny room was just adequate. Lights in room did not work (blown globes), no bath mat provided so shower water was all over bathroom floor. No black out curtains!!! ....In this location? Hot room with no ventilation made for an uncomfortable night. (Leaving the window and curtain open all night is not an option unless you don't mind sunlight...

We stayed in this hotel when we visited the northcape being part of our 22 day trip through Scandinavia. Although the website of the hotel stated that there was wifi in the room, this was not available. For wifi it was necessary to sit in the hotel lobby where it was not allowed to bring your own drinks. We were...

In Honnigsvag you are way up north and not much in terms of lodging. This hotel was fine and did its job. Right on the harbor and right in the thick of the small town. Clean, small and part of Insight tour.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a coach tour for 2 nights. They were obviously geared for one night stays as the buffet was identical on both days. We were given a time to go into the dining room like Butlin's in the 60;s. Woe betide you if you tried to go in 5 minutes early as an...

The hotel is well-situated for a visit to the North Cape and a view of the Midnight Sun. The rooms are rather small and limited in what they provide - no fridge/minibar, tea or coffee making facilities, the TV had a very limited rage of channels. The beds are very comfortable, the service friendly and helpful, and ours certainly had...

We arrived to Honningsvåg really late at night with our 4 year old kid. Receptionist gave us our room key and we were so ready to go to sleep after long day on a road. It tooked about 5 seconds to realize our room wasn' t been cleaned up after previous hotel quest, there was used sheets and messy bathroom....

Hotel is very busy with busloads of tourists visiting Northern Cape, staying just one night. As beds are rare and many tourists crowding the island, they can overcharge and give little in return. Hotel is crowded and noisy, same as dining and breakfeast. One has to fight for a plate, for a place to sit. No chance to eat in...

We were supposed to be at the Scandic Bryggen but due to industrial action we were moved here. Can't fault the staff they were most helpful. The hotel is clean and tidy if not a bit dated. Not sure why but most of the hotels we have been staying at don't have any parking to speak of. This one had...
