My fiends Lionel and Anthony and I stayed with Phil for one night in Septmeber 2020. Phil made us feel very welcome in his cosy, well-equipped and spotlessly clean B&B. He went the extra mile, helping us order a Chinese takeaway to eat in the dining room, supplying some nice local ales to wash the meal down, and entertaining us with tales of his adventures around the world. The hearty full English breakfast really set us up for the day ahead. All in all a very pleasant stay - many thanks, Phil!

We have just finished another section of the South West Coastal Path and spent a night here. Everything was perfect, even down to Phil - unasked - setting up a space to dry damp walking gear. The bathroom was amazong; the beds comfy and our bedroom cosy. The whole place was clean and welcoming and he is a great host. (The following night we were faced with accommodation that had mildew and mould on walls and ceiling, and cobwebs hanging off light fittings! Missed him so much!)

We stayed here as we were walking the South West Coastal Path. Phil was exceptionally helpful for 2 weary travellers. The room was clean and spacious. Although I prefer a much softer bed I slept soundly. The house is set in a really quiet location and only a few minutes walk to the charming beach.

Phil made us feel right at home. He cooked us a great breakfast and is very knowledgeable about the area. Although he has lived in the south for many years he has not lost his Burnley warmth and charm!

My sisters and I stayed with Phil the consummate host at both the start and end of the Two Moors Way long distance hike. We were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were clean, spacious and very comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities are provided in the rooms. Good wifi. The cooked breakfast was delicious and Phil went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, even introducing us to the delights of a dark and stormy. Highly recommended.

I stayed here with my friend Dylan as we started walking the Two Moors Way, booked through Contours. We had a great night's sleep in the twin room which was very comfortable, ideal for us with everything we needed and plenty of room for our walking kit bags, etc. The next morning, the breakfast set us up a treat for our walking day.
Our host Phil was very friendly and most helpful and also an interesting host to chat to.

The proprietor, Phil, made us very welcome and bent over backwards to help with everything we needed. The accommodation is very good and conveniently located if you are walking the south-west coast path. All in all excellent value for money.

My Dad and I stayed here during our stint on the South West Coastal path and couldn’t have had a better stay or a more helpful host. The b&b itself is spotlessly clean, spacious and a real home away from home - with a great breakfast in the morning to set you up for the day. It is situated right on the path, with a pub only a walk away. Phil couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful, he went out of his way to ensure our day following on from our stay went as smoothly as possible - even dropping us off at the next point of the walk to avoid us being affected by the tide later in the day. Thank you for a wonderful stay - and for the dark and stormys!

Phil was a great host. Our room was spacious and spotless and he was very helpful and accommodating for our needs the night we stayed. He also has a good sense of humour and is a fashion icon in the world of B&B (he told me to write this!)

Thank you Phil!

Best wishes Julie and Rob!

The beds are so soft and the best thing is my feet don't stick out of the end . The hot chocolate 🍫 was so tasty and has the best ever fry ups 😋 . It was in a great location to wembury has the best rock pools . Since we swam in the sea we were soaked through Phil let us change in the garage and talked to us about wembury and how he makes the perfect eggs 🥚 . If your lucky you might see the seal 🦭 I did . Also the rooms were spotless .Enjoy your perfect bed and breakfast holiday!!!♡
