My husband and I have been traveling the east coast, we arrived at the YHA where we were promptly picked up, and checked in by a very helpful member of staff. The room was clean, along with the kitchen. Which had a large space to accommodate a great number of guests. It had a good atmosphere also!

The hostel in itself is amazing and it's location is in the center of Noosa. However it is VERY noisy. There are signs everywhere that say that there is no noise allowed after 11 pm and it's quiet after 11.30, if you are lucky. Because it's all wood you can hear everything and because there is some kind of wierd... More

I stopped here for 1 night in order to break up my travel from Rainbow Beach down to Brisbane and I can honestly say this is one of the best hostels I've stayed in :) Although the room I got was surprisingly small for 4 people, it didn't bother me as I was only there for a night. Wifi was... More

We stopped over here at Halse Lodge while we were making our way up the east coast. The hostels location is spot on, a 5 minute walk to the beach and shops and restaurants are nearby, including a restaurant and bar in the hostel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay... More

Lovely atmosphere, great kitchen space, bar/dining area and my room was very clean/bright. Toilets and kitchen area was always kept clean and showers were great. Staff all so friendly and shuttle bus from station to hostel is so convenient and well organised. The location is perfect as it is close to the national park/coastal walk and beach front. Cafes/restaurants are... More

We stayed in a private double room for 1 night. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The location of the hostel is great - 5min walk from the beach and restaurants/shops (Betty's Burgers restaurant is great!). The hostel encourages you to eat and drink at their restaurant and you are not allowed to have your own alcohol... More

This hostel is fantastically located. The beach & the National Park are a short walk away. The shops are reasonably close (yes, its up a hill, but it is not an arduous walk). If you can afford the price, there are many eating choices close by. I liked the dorm - we were in a 4 bed shared dorm. It... More

My daughter and I stayed overnight recently at Halse Lodge and enjoyed our stay immensely. It was $85 for a private room with shared bathroom which was perfectly adequate for us. Lovely soft mattress with clean crisp white sheets. Remember to bring your own towels!! Location is excellent being just a short stroll to the beach and Hastings Street. Highlight... More

This is truly a gem hissed in the rocks !!! Right on the beach, this "country" style Lodge is packed with charm. It has a community kitchen & laundry, but only shared bathroom facilities. It also has a very affordable & delightful Restaurant which lights up nothing short of spectacular at night. There is an 11.00 curfew, so the noise... More

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Shuttle from bus station was good. Hostel is clean and the rooms are spacious. However the kitchen is lacking seating areas/ space. At least a 10 min walk to the supermarket but it's so close to the beach and the main shops!
