    Family Stay at Noosa
We had a fantastic time here in Noosa. It was our first time to visit this beautiful place and the weather started out great, before the welcomed rain towards the end of the week. This didn't impact our love of this natural wonder. We did some of the walks, ate at many of the restuarants and cafes on Hastings street and also nearby at the marina and Noosaville. The SEbel is perfectly located in such a central spot. Walk to Main beach, shops and Aroma cafe at your fingertips! The two bedroom unit we stayed in was fantastic, spacious well appointed, great kitchen and fridge was large enough for the 6 of us. The lift near us was handy to get street access and we were right near the bus bay, 2 min walk which was super conveinient. The only bugbear was the lift at the entrance which seemed to be broken for most of our stay - we used it a couple of times with elderly parents travelling with us. Staff were very helpful, rooms were cleaned efficiently and daily, we borrowed boardgames on rainy days, umbrellas and everyone was happy to accommodate. The pool was a big hit with the kids, they absolutely loved the water! Plenty of sun chairs were available and overall it was a great relaxing holiday! Will definitely be back!!
Dear 29patriziap, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback of your stay with us at The Sebel Noosa. I am thrilled you had & your family had a relaxing holiday in Noosa and enjoyed your stayed with us. I am delighted you liked our amazing location and the facilities and amenities of our resort even on the wet days! Thank you for wonderful feedback regarding the team. I am pleased we were able to make your stay memorable! I sincerely apologise you the lift by reception was broken during your stay. I look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Noosa. Beautiful Self Catering Units Across from The Beach
These imaculate apartments have complete kitchens including a washer and dryer. The outide deck has a table and chairs for dining or entertaining. They are spacious and have comfortable beds. The complex has a lovely pool, childrens pool and gym. The location is ideal because it is so close to the beach and within walking distance to the national park. Shops and restaurants are located on the same tree lined street .

    Solid Property
The Sebel is a solid choice for Noosa. The location is great in the middle of Hastings St, the property is well maintained and we appreciated the extra Covid cleaning regularly taking place. We were in a two bedroom deluxe. The size was good and the apartment had everything you could want. Perhaps a few more sharp cutting knives would be appreciated. Having two bathrooms of good size was also appreciated. The only slight negatives were the age and comfort of the lounge furnishings and as a suggestion, perhaps an area could be set up where people leaving Noosa (like us) could drop off their unwanted beach umbrella, beach chairs, boogey boards etc, so that other guests could make use of them. In all a great stay.
Dear Hot_Dots, Thank you for your review regarding your stay at The Sebel Noosa and for taking the time to share your experience and provide feedback. I am delighted you enjoyed the location, amenities and facilities of our resort. Thank you for your feedback regarding the cutlery in your apartment and the comfort of the furnishings. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Kind regards, Stephanie Keane Front Office Manager The Sebel Noosa

The hotel is a building site The staff made promises which never came to fruition We were lead to believe the alteration would be nearly completed by late September The pool is not operational Bedrooms are noisy Our airconditioner in one of our rooms did not work There was nowhere in the hotel we could go to sit and relax The jackhammering started at 8:30 each day It was too noisy to have an afternoon nap We were promised free beach chairs and umbrellas , on the second day we had one umbrella and 3 chairs , the 2nd day there were none left - we were forced to pay 70 dollars for beach hire….

Maintenance work is necessary for most properties from time to time, but visitors planning a visit to the Sebel in the near future should be under no illusions about the degree of disruption caused by the current round of construction work (which to be fair is disclosed on the hotel's website). The hotel is a huge construction site at present, with hammering and drilling going on from 8:00 am, and the property divided up by endless temporary fences and barricades (it took me ten minutes to find the reception area and I had to ask two different guys in hard hats). The room was clean and neat but the fittings are showing their age, with carpets, furniture and appliances frayed or rusted at the edges. Perhaps these will be upgraded, too. Given the enormous disturbances caused by the maintenance work, a two-for-one drinks voucher wasn't really the degree of compensation we would have hoped for. All in all, a fairly joyless experience for us.

Extremely disappointing experience - there is currently major construction going on at the hotel, with jackhammering and angle grinding commencing before 8am. Understand that at times upgrades and maintenance need to happen, but still charging full price with no warning of the loud notice that will occur across your entire stay without forward notice is incredibly disingenuous. Would not recommend as a place to stay.

Responded 3 days ago
Dear Jordon, Thank you for providing us this valuable feedback surrounding your recent stay with us. We understand this recent stay left much to be desired and for that I wish to extend my deepest sympathies. We are very aware that our property is navigating a unique time right now, we rely on our guest's feedback to better improve our services and for this we would like to extend our sincerest thanks. I would also mention we are doing our absolute best to be transparent about our renovations works. This includes but is not limited to pre-arrival emails & texts, as well as all online booking platforms advertising with our maintenance notice. We knew this period would be unique to us and our guests and for that reason have tried our absolute best to be flexible and transparent. Should you be willing to give us another opportunity I would be very motivated to find you the very best possible rate and ensure you enjoy a much-improved experience. Reach out direct as you now have my direct contact. Sincerely, Claire Willoughby Front Office Manager

We booked this as a last minute getaway so got a reasonable rate. We had stayed here 7 years ago and liked it so decided to return. Staff very friendly, however there was a lot of construction around the pool area and surrounds so a bit of a mess really. Our one bedroom suite faced out to the (empty) pool area so not pretty. Suite appeared to be spacious and clean, however it was a bit tired in places, e.g. floor tiles chipped and cracked, inside the bathroom door was swollen from water damage from the bath, def needs to be replaced!! Old rust marks around the edge of the bath, with unsightly attempt at repair. Just redo the bathroom properly!! We did have a quiet room, and the tradies didn’t start up til after 8am which was appreciated. Not sure we will be back tho until the whole complex has been upgraded, at those prices! Great location tho.

Just beware - the Sebel Noosa is undergoing extensive renovations until December 2023. Stay there at your own peril. Fortunately we were able to cancel. Not sure where the renovations impact but I believe pathways and pool. I’d call them to find out before booking.

Responded Jul 6, 2023
Hi Knills, Thank you for taking the time to review us. We appreciate your feedback. For future, I would recommend giving us the opportunity to host you first before reviewing us. Although we are currently impacted by renovations, we are doing everything possible to ensure our guests enjoy the best possible holiday experience. We are also being as transparent as possible and recommending guests do not travel to us if they are not fully aware of the impacts of our renovations. This would have been made evident when making the booking on your chosen booking platform, within the Reservation Confirmation information you received & again upon your request to cancel that our property happily approved. These were all instances where our renovations were being advertised to you, as well as pre-arrival emails, text and phone calls. As a result, you were able to cancel in time with very minimal impact. We hope you will give properties a chance to actually host you before reviewing anywhere else in future. Kind Regards, Claire Willoughby Front Office Manager

Terrible front desk, rude and very unfriendly. The constant noise from the adjacent building, which was not disclosed, is also an issue that can seriously impact the quality of a guest's stay. It is essential for hotels to be transparent about any potential disruptions and to take steps to minimize the impact on guests whenever possible. The lack of basic amenities such as body lotion and shampoo and the heater not working are also significant concerns. Guests have basic expectations, and failure to provide them can lead to frustration and discomfort. The presence of cockroaches in the kitchen is unacceptable and could pose a health risk to guests. It is imperative for hotels to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the property. Finally, the strict policy regarding late check-out is disappointing. While it is essential for hotels to maintain a schedule, staff should also be accommodating and flexible whenever possible to ensure guests have a pleasant and stress-free stay. This hotel fell short in several key areas, and I would not recommend it to other travellers.

We have stayed before and we leave it long enough between visits to forget about the disappointments. Arrived and the reception is located in the car park with temporarily fencing as a part wall (not kidding…what WH&S). The furniture in the room is old, uncomfortable and outdated. The TV is set up through a very old foxtel box with the cheapest subscription so most channels not available, including free to air TV channels (weird that we wanted to relax and watch TV on our holiday). The WiFI was so bad we couldn’t even send, receive or file emails. We had to tether to our phones for our entire stay. They told us at check in (in the car park) that our room would be serviced every second day, which we were told would be Sunday (for the price we should get the room serviced everyday and a turn down service). I called at lunch Sunday to enquire when they were doing the service, they said 2pm. I stressed we wanted it done, it wasn’t done and when I called that evening, I had to call twice and raise my voice just to get clean towels. This ended with us getting a bottle of complimentary sparkling. The gardner loves to get out the leaf blower at 6.30am and rev it on and off, on and off, until you want to self harm (he has also woken every small child in the hotel). Do not start me on the renovations that we were not told about when we booked and the noise from the drilling and jackhammering was dreadful. I suspect we won’t forget this again next time we are booking a stay in Noosa.

We stayed at the Sebel recently for four days and had a one bedroom apartment on the ground floor. We booked through a travel advisor and didn’t specify a view type but when we checked in, asked if we could upgrade to an apartment with a view but sadly one wasn’t available for the days we were there. The room was really spacious, clean with everything you would need in it. The bed was comfortable and we really liked the open plan living, but being able to close the rooms off when you needed too. The bathroom had both a big bath and shower and some lovely cosmetics. Our room was at the back of the hotel and had no view, only that of buildings behind us, but the little terrace was nice to have regardless. Although the terrace was overlooked by buildings behind, there was privacy shutters that could be shut if needed. As we were staying for four days we did get housekeeping once halfway through for towel changing bed changing etc however I would recommend the hotel tops up things like tea / coffee / sugar / milk daily. It’s only something small but we had to keep going to reception to ask. The hotel offers free parking underneath and is literally on the main high street of Noosa. 30 seconds to the restaurants and a minutes walk to the beach. The hotel is having some refurbishments so there was building works going on which were unfortunately right behind our room. They did start at 8am and did wake us up a few of the mornings but it wasn’t too bad and we didn’t see any workmen within the hotel grounds. As we booked via a travel agent this was not something I checked on before we came out but in all honesty, didn’t effect our four days. I would 100% stay at this hotel again but next time would request an apartment with a terrace and pool view.

Requested twin beds, as an Accor Gold an upgrade is a benefit. On arrival was allocated a two bedroom apt, the twin beds were there, BUT in the second bedroom locked down and not accessible to us. Asked at reception if we could have access to the beds we requested, told $250 a night extra 😡. So that along with other issues means we won’t be back Stacey, slow internet, broken lamps, loud creaking toilet door, mismatched toiletries, many slats missing from shutters etc. Have been coming to The Sebel many many times, good location but it’s very very dated and Reno’s long overdue.

I have to be honest this hotel definitely fell well short of expectations there was still construction going on many entry exit points still closed lots of tradesmen walking around and quite a bit of noise as well. The room was good though it had the basics but nothing fancy the biggest down fall was the outside room noise that you constantly had from screaming children slamming doors very loud in courtyard areas where people made no attempt to be respectful of others and noice created without the doors and tv being on it would have been intolerable. The best part was the position of hotel very close to food places like cafés restaurants ice cream bars little supermarket vey close and beach access literally across the road. Parking was very limited very small car spaces I basically left my car in the same spot fearing I wouldn’t get my space if I came back later so that was disappointing luckily tour companies picked us up from Sofitel right next door. Would I came back no I wouldn’t. If your a family with kids and make a lot of noise it’s a great place to stay if you like a relaxing reasonably quiet place don’t stay here. Some the staff were friendly and nice but it was a little hit and miss as well unfortunately
