We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment room No. 534 in the Rainbow wing of Sebel from the 18 to 22 April. We found the location of the hotel to be very central on Hastings Street to everything we needed restaurants, the beach and cafes. The room was a good size with a large balcony. It was setback from Hastings Street so normally would be very quiet. The pool at the resort is a bit on the small size. We found the staff of Sebel to be very friendly and helpful and are an asset to the resort. Being Accor members we were invited to drinks on Wednesday which was a nice gesture and a good way to meet the other guests. Unfortunately, the Rainbow wing we were staying at was having the roof replaced which made it very noisy starting at 7:30 am and going throughout the day. There is a storage room near our room on the third floor where paint seemed to be stored and accessed early every morning with loud conversations occurring outside our door most mornings. When getting coffee in the morning two senior workers in high vis shirts thought it was a joke about the amount of noise saying more would be made today. Too bad if we came for a relaxing holiday! There was also roofing insulation material being blown all over the balcony making it unusable while we were there. We would go back to Sebel Noosa but not until all the works were over. We were advised about the refurbishment but thought that it was on the empty wings and not in the area where you are occupying. The room rate isn’t discounted to compensate for the disruption.…
The rooms are dated and there were a number of things broken. Nobody mentioned the outside building works until after booking. Our room was called river view but in reality was main road view. Pool sittibg area small and gym tiny. There must be better value.
Well postioned accommodation. Reasonably clean. Construction/maintenance occurring. No food on site. Chargeback to Aromas Cafe is provided by the hotel. Can be very noisy in the evening on the Hastings Street side. Sofitel within 200m. Excellent breakfast for $39 for 2 people as ALL members. Grace Thomas was very kind in reception.
We have visited Noosa on numerous occasions and after 2 years of lockdowns we were super excited for our 5 nights away. Given we booked late there was not a lot on offer on Hastings st but The Sebel had a one bedroom apartment with a view of Hastings st available, even though it was pricey at 2,400 for the 5 nights we snapped it up - first holiday in 2 years after all! Well....first day in the apartment the musty smell was overwhelming and the TV set up was below ordinary. Must say Grace from front reception was amazing and tried to address our concerns, she bought a dehumidifier up which alleviated some of the smell but we also bought a candle to help out. Given we are in 2022 I assumed we would have smart TVs - Nope, 2 TVs and we can't connect to either of them and there was no inbuilt chrome cast, there was Foxtel with limited channels so we resorted to watching some shows on our iPad! We were in apartment 123 in the Alexandria complex - do not book this room - you have been warned The bed was just OK, the pillows are ordinary (better to bring your own I think) the TVs and the smell Ive mentioned but the view - well that was non existent, it was just a view of the rooftops of restaurants along Hastings st so we were sold a pup there. Though, that leads me onto the noise - extraordinary to say the least. We completely understand that the restaurants are full and accept the noise in the evening and during the day however to be woken day after day at 0600 to staff emptying bottles into bins and vacuuming was frustrating to say the least and really what can we say - they were just doing their job but this apartment is just really poorly positioned and should be sold at half the price we paid. I will attach a photo of our view - you can see for yourselves. Lastly the WIFI was ordinary and nearly non existent at night. In summary we would stay at the Sebel again as the position is great and all the staff have been lovely but would request an apartment complex down the back where is it quieter and we're not listening to the restaurants patrons and air conditioners all day whilst enjoying a drink on our balcony.…
If you charge 500$ for a nights accom you must not sell a room which has not been renovated for more than 5 years. The draws in the bathroom were worn out The lounge was the worst I’ve seen We had to wash the cups and crockery before use as they were filthy The coffee machine is a health hazard
We spent a night at Sebel to celebrate my birthday and were pleasantly surprised with the hotel pool area and the private outdoor spa. The location couldn't have been any better an we enjoyed swimming at the beach and the various dining options. The staff were really helpful and obliging. Two staff particularly stood at at the reception. Both Celine and Lisa are a great asset to the Accor Group. The only negative for the hotel is that there are no in-house restaurants. Being a Diamond member usually comes with complimentary breakfast but couldn't enjoy this privilege as a result. They did provide other goodies such as cheese platter and a bottle of champagne. The hotel is however overpriced as it is more like 4 stars with and require refurbishment. But will definitely return as the location is too good.…
We stayed for 3 nights at the Sebel Noosa and the kids had a great time. The location is great, we parked our car and did not use it again until checkout. Special mention to GRACE from reception who is truly an asset to the Sebel. We had a few issues with are room upon check-in which were handled professionally and quickly changed our first impressions of the Sebel, Grace moved us to another room and made a fuss of our 7yo boy who was celebrating his birthday on check-in. The Sebel need to recognise employees such as Grace, particularly in such trying times that Covid has thrown up! There was also a male staff member (sorry, don't recall his name, but he was wearing trainee name tag (Grace will know) who assisted us moving rooms, and did so with a smile.....he was very helpful! Overall we have had a great stay at the Sebel. Thank you.…
At almost $1,000 per night you would expect “real” 5 star hotel and experience… This hotel is why so many Australians go overseas. Our room had holes in towels which were almost worn out, mould everywhere in bathroom, sheets had marks, the safe was broken, doors to bedroom were in need of replacing, drawers in vanity looked disgusting, carpet ripped and peeling, dints and marks on entry to unit and room with broken and marked tiles. I have stayed at better backpacker hostels! It either needs a major renovation, or a serious price per night reduction. No pool service after 5, but this only consisted of tinny’s anyway - not a 5-star experience… The pool is too small for the size of the complex as well and just looking around you can see dodgy repairs by unqualified tradespeople - just an example: Gyproc screws to hold in critical equipment around the pool. However - the unsupported staff are doing an amazing job of what that have to work with. Sebal - you are on a fast track to either having to become a dodgy back packer hostel - or bite the bullet and renovate…. Would I have bothered to write this review if I did not get ripped off - maybe not. It’s extremely disappointing when you pay almost $1,000 per night and get what we got compared to what you would get overseas, including the USA.…
We booked a 1 bedroom apartment. The room itself was very nice and well equipped with kitchen, washing machine and dryer, comfy king sized bed and lovely bathroom. The balcony was a huge disappointment as it was completely enclosed by shutters and you could only see the building next door - we felt like we were in jail. Only dining table and chairs provided, so not even a space you could chill out and relax in.Soft close toilet, coffee machine and recycling box were all appreciated. Grace on reception, was lovely at check in. The car park does not guarantee a space (which they tell you just before you arrive) which meant we did not explore Noosa to the full as we were worried we would not get a space on return. The pool was also a major disappointment, quite small and filled with kids, not a lot of space and completely overlooked by nearby rooms. It also closed at 7pm as did reception, meaning late evening swims were out of the question. There were 2!! coat hangers provided for 2 people for a 3 night stay - come on!!!. The location is great on Hastings St but absolutely no views of anything. During our stay we were having an afternoon snooze, when the door was opened - My husband called out and was told it was maintenance and they would come back later. Very strange as we had not reported anything and no one had advised they were coming. As the room was not serviced during our stay, we had left everything out and this seemed very odd.…
Beest location. Staff were all excellent. From check in to maintainance to cleaners, everyone was ready to help. Room was clean, size good for our family. Pool was nice. Slightly small but temp was nice and kids had so much fun. Free parking was convinient but spaces were tight for a big car. My sisters room had power issues but it was quickly resolved. Overall, we will definitely come back. Thank you for a memorable holiday.
